That's what I spent the rest of the time doing. Making the game creation application 3D renderable. Which wasn't that hard because the main part was already 3D rendered.
The editor was already a first person perspective. So, all I really had to do was duplicate it, apply it to both eyes, and have the AR glasses utilize their spatial tracking.
Then take the editing panels and have them be their own free standing panels that I can move around in the rendering.
All in all, it's not that hard. It does take up quite a little bit of time, for fine tuning, and getting the connections right. I also have to adjust the key bindings since I won't be using a keyboard.
It did take a few hours, but it was worth the effort.
I was able to streamline the game creation process because the keybinds became a lot more intuitive. Using just your hands you could shape and mold the world, like a God of the virtual world.
During the interim of having finished the integration and building the map I got food for both Layla and I.
The rest of the time was spent building a base tutorial map. One I could use to practice building and when it was done people could use it to get used to moving around in VR.
It was the afternoon of the next day when we were brought out of our productive mania. Because the materials for the metal 3D printer were being delivered.
Once the guys fully delivered the few tons of our materials I quickly realized that we were missing something important.
A forklift.
One to move a metric ton of material.
A quick Foolgle later, I found an electric forklift that could move 2.5 metric tons for $30,000.
Seems like a deal to me.
The seller was local so they could deliver it this evening.
In the evening the forklift was dropped off. I got the charging port hooked up and that was the last thing I could manage today.
I was exhausted. We had been up for around 36 hours and I just couldn't go any longer.
Layla was reluctant to leave but she was also tired. We went back home and ate frozen pizzas for dinner.
Then we crashed.
…
The next morning I woke up a bit groggy.
Before I went upstairs to see if Layla was awake, I went into my office. I loaded up Metube and looked at Layla's video metrics. She is up to 9,000 views.
That's good. Slow and steady.
I closed out and went upstairs, Layla was still asleep. I went looking for breakfast. I was really looking for things to make waffles, but we didn't have milk or eggs.
Which was probably a good thing, since I can't remember that last time we really looked into the refrigerator.
When Layla got up we decided to just have food delivered to the warehouse. So, we got ready and went.
At the warehouses we ate and got back to work.
I managed to get both upgrades done for the solar panels and the scanner. One thing I wish I had done was add the AI material library first. Then the scanner would be a whole lot better.
But, I can still work with what I've got, and I can just use the other fabrication machine to test the material anyway.
The scanner's upgrades made it more precise, quicker, and efficient. While it still can't scan the details of microchips it has definitely gotten much better.
Now that the solar panels have been upgraded they now generate enough energy to run the metal 3D printer.
Since the metal 3D printer can work now, Layla can finish the car.
She decided to put the other work on hold to finish the StingRay.
The metal 3D printer prints fairly slowly but it is big enough to print most of the parts all at once.
Once we got the model into the 3D printer and hooked up the material, I hit the start button.
Now we just have to wait like 48 hours or so.
While the printer was going we would have to limit power usage, which wasn't really a problem. Because both Layla and I were using supercomputers with extreme efficiency on low output. We aren't using the computers to their full use after all.
A super computer isn't going to struggle with a minor rendering of car parts or on my game creation software.
We worked all day on our respective projects.
I managed to get a sneaky upgrade in when it was ready.
When the day ended we went home.
…
The next day we were at it again.
We focused on our projects and when it was ready I got the second upgrade in.
When we were getting ready to leave for the day we decided to check in on the printer to see how it was going.
On arriving, we found out that it was already done.
I convinced Layla to wait until tomorrow to work on the car. These all nighters were doing a number on me.
I couldn't keep it up, I was coming apart at the seams.
When we got home it was quick to bed, because Layla couldn't wait for tomorrow.
…
The next morning Layla was up before me and ready to go.
We got to the warehouses at 6:00 am. I was tired. I had food delivered, twisted cinnamon and sugar doughnuts along with a stack of pancakes and syrup. I was going to need the sugar.
I helped Layla with moving the pieces in between bites of my breakfast.
I really do love sweet treats.
I spent the morning helping Layla, but once my part was over, I moved back to my space to keep working on the game.
However, I just couldn't focus. So, I spent the day watching videos on Metube.
But, I noticed something odd about my feed, there were a lot of cryptid and super hero videos in my recommended.
