Chapter 254 - Chapter 254: Starry Sky Stones

"Mr. Nostradamus, let him go."

Ethan blinked at Nostradamus.

An old fox like Nostradamus naturally understood at once. He immediately snorted for show and withdrew the starlight.

Then… he casually waved his hand in midair again.

Nine blue-glowing gemstones flew out and landed in his palm, "I'm confiscating these Starry Sky Stones. Don't you dare misuse my Nine-Star Array again, or I won't be polite next time."

"Y-you…", Mr. White's teeth were chattering, but he swallowed the rest of his words and nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes, Lord Nostradamus is absolutely right."

"Hmph!"

Nostradamus snorted and ignored him.

Meanwhile, Ethan stared straight at the Starry Sky Stones in Nostradamus's hand, "Master, these stones are so pretty. Can you give them to me?"

[Starry Sky Stone: Fallen stars from the sky, naturally imbued with spatial attributes. The best material for crafting spatial gems and storage artifacts.]

[PS: Starry Sky Stones come in several levels. Different colors mean different value! From lowest to highest: orange, yellow, blue, green, cyan, red, purple. The higher the grade, the larger the storage space created. Legend says purple Starry Sky Stones can even create pocket dimensions.]

"You brat!", Nostradamus shook his head helplessly, "When you need something, you call me Master. When you don't, it's Mr. Nostradamus. You think I can't tell? You little rascal. Fine, take them!"

Nostradamus tossed all nine blue Starry Sky Stones to Ethan.

Ethan casually swept them up midair and stored them directly into the witch tail ring.

Meanwhile, Mr. White had already rushed to his brother, who had fallen to the ground. From one of his orange, yellow, and blue gemstone rings, he took out a scroll and tore it open over Omar's body.

Countless golden light particles fell from the scroll, landing all over Omar.

Soon… Omar's complexion visibly improved.

Before long, he slowly opened his eyes and managed to speak again, "Brother! Wuuu!"

"You idiot!"

Seeing his brother recover, Mr. White grabbed him up and scolded angrily, "You still have the nerve to cry! Why did you do something like this? And you even dared to send a message to the wilderness witches. Are you insane?"

"Do you think those crazy women are easy to deal with?"

"If they find out I lied to them to get them to put aside their blood feud and leave, do you think they'll spare me?"

"When that happens, they won't care whether I belong to the Merchant Alliance. They'll kill me on the spot!"

"Cough! Cough!", Omar coughed a few times, "The Merchant Alliance wouldn't just ignore you. You're a meritorious contributor…"

"You know nothing!"

Mr. White slapped him across the face and roared, "You think those old men in the Merchant Alliance value me because of who I am? No! It's because I know how to make them money."

"Once I lose my ability to earn money, once I'm just a corpse, who do you think will stand up for me?"

"Even if, by some miracle, the Merchant Alliance decided to save face and step in…"

"Think about it!"

"We deceived the wilderness witches first. That means we're not in the right. What excuse would the Merchant Alliance have to intervene?"

"Even if the Merchant Alliance defeated the witches, they'd just be labeled as bullies picking on a weaker force."

"In that situation, do you really think they'd stick their neck out?"

"Uh…"

Omar was completely stunned by his brother's words. He lowered his head, "Sorry, brother. I didn't think that far. I just… I just…"

"JUST WHAT?"

Mr. White roared at him.

Omar shrank his neck and said softly, "I just couldn't stand him scamming so much from you, so I wanted to vent your anger for you."

"That's why you're stupid!", Mr. White smacked him on the head angrily, "Most of what you're talking about were things we mass-produced ourselves. How much are they really worth?"

"But if we could make a friend like Lord Ethan, how much more money could we earn in the future?"

"Why don't you ever use your brain?"

"All you think about is venting anger here! Venting anger there!"

"In this world, when you have money, people respect and admire you. If you're just domineering and arrogant, do you think anyone will truly respect you?"

"No! On the surface they'll avoid you, but behind your back they'll look down on you."

"You fool!"

Mr. White scolded him thoroughly.

Omar finally quieted down, his head hanging lower and lower, "Brother, I'm sorry… I know I was wrong."

"Don't apologize to me!", Mr. White shoved him forward, "Go apologize to Lord Ethan. Whether Lord Ethan forgives you is what really matters."

"Yes, brother!"

Omar lowered his head and obediently walked toward Ethan.

Behind him, Mr. White added, "I've taught you before, haven't I? You know how to apologize properly. Do it right!"

"Yes, brother. I know."

Then, Omar walked up to Ethan and, without hesitation, dropped to his knees and kowtowed, "Lord, I'm sorry! Everything before was my fault. Please punish me."

"If you think beating me earlier wasn't enough to vent your anger, you can beat me again!"

"As long as you don't take it out on my brother!"

"Alright! Alright!"

Ethan waved his hand, "Your brother already agreed to compensate me. There's no point in me arguing with a brat like you."

Seeing this, Mr. White immediately stepped forward with a smile and kicked Omar in the backside, "Stay kneeling here. You're not allowed to leave until Lord Ethan's anger is gone."

After saying that, Mr. White wrapped an arm around Ethan's shoulders, "Lord Ethan, let's go outside and have a drink while we talk. No need to let this idiot annoy you further."

"Alright, let's go."

Ethan naturally understood the two brothers were putting on a show.

But merchants seek profit, not pride. Since Mr. White was eager to compensate him, of course he would give him the chance.

After all, a wealthy, generous cash cow like this was hard to find.
