Chapter 575 - Chapter 574: Who Is Conan?

Following Gian, Ethan arrived at the sports storage room behind the playground.

Hardly anyone came here normally.

Not only was it in a somewhat remote location, but it was also filled with all kinds of equipment used in PE class, such as sit-up mats, shot puts, basketballs, and so on.

Most of the things were covered in dust, and the storage room was filled with the damp smell of a place that had not seen sunlight for years. On top of that, there was the smell of foot odor and sweat. Mixed together, the result was pretty overwhelming.

So normally, no one was willing to come here at all.

Unless the PE teacher told them to move something.

But… Gian said someone had died inside last night.

That left Ethan very confused.

When Ethan arrived outside the sports storage room, he could be sure Gian had not been lying, because there really was police tape outside, stretching all the way around the storage room.

"Someone really died?", Ethan asked, finding it hard to believe, "Do you know who it was?"

"Anna from Class Three, the really tall and pretty one," Gian said.

Ethan frowned, "Anna? The name sounds a little familiar, but I don't remember."

"How can you not remember?", Gian said in surprise, "I even asked you to deliver a love letter for me before. You said a goddess like her would never go for me, and you forgot your so-called 'goddess' this quickly?"

Gian looked somewhat angry.

Ethan did not understand why he was angry, but after thinking carefully, it seemed there really had been such an incident.

But for some reason, Ethan always felt as though it had happened a very long time ago. So long ago that if Gian had not brought it up, he would have completely forgotten about it.

"The goddess who learned ballet?", Ethan asked in shock, "How did she die?"

"Yeah, the goddess who learned ballet. She had a really good figure, and she was incredibly flexible too!", A faint smile unconsciously appeared at the corner of Gian's mouth. Then he noticed Ethan looking at him and immediately changed his tune, "Ah! What a pity! I heard she was forced… and died from that."

"Yeah, what a pity."

By now, Ethan already felt that something was wrong.

But he did not say anything. He merely nodded along with Gian and said, "This place feels pretty creepy, though. Let's go back. Otherwise, if the teacher calls attendance later and we're not there, we'll get chewed out again."

After saying that, Ethan turned around and was about to leave but Gian grabbed Ethan by the arm.

"Not so fast!"

"I already had Tony mark attendance for both of us."

"I heard they left the scene intact for evidence and stuff. Let's go in and take a look."

"Maybe we'll find some important clues. If we report them to the school and help the police solve the case, we'll get publicly praised. We might even get some kind of award for bravery."

"Uh…", Ethan looked down at Gian's hand holding him and still shook his head, "Isn't that a bad idea? If we accidentally disturb the scene inside, we'll be in trouble too."

"It's fine. We won't," Gian's grip on his wrist became tighter slightly as he held Ethan's hand, "We're just going in to take a look. We won't mess with anything. How could we disturb the scene? Ethan, don't tell me you're scared?"

"I… I'm fine."

Ethan did not feel much about the fact that someone had died.

It was just that his sixth sense was making him feel uneasy.

It seemed… Something bad was about to happen, which was why he did not really want to go inside.

"If you're not scared, then let's go take a look!", Without giving Ethan a chance to object, Gian pulled him over to the police tape, lifted it, then opened the rusted metal door of the sports storage room and walked inside, "It'll be quick!"

"Someone else died. Why do you care so much? Why are you so curious?", Gian had dragged Ethan into the storage room, leaving him somewhat helpless as he complained, "And you're looking for clues… What, do you think you're Conan?"

"What's Conan?"

Gian suddenly turned his head and asked Ethan.

At that instant, Ethan's pupils really shrank to a pinpoint. He finally realized that something was wrong with this world.

"Conan is a character in Naruto. You don't know?", Ethan casually made something up. If someone had never watched Conan, he could understand that. But if they had never even watched Naruto, then that was seriously strange.

"Naruto?", Gian still shook his head, "No idea. Is it a TV series or something?"

"It's an anime," Ethan casually replied.

At the same time, his eyes kept sweeping across the entire storage room. Other than a pool of blood, there did not seem to be anything else.

"Oh, I don't really watch anime. You know that," Gian smiled as he replied, "I heard that pool of blood was Anna's. I really don't know who could be so cruel as to stab Anna. That's just too much."

"You should ask yourself," Ethan turned his head and calmly looked at Gian, who was holding an electrician's knife in his hand, "Why did you kill her?"
