Cherreads

Chapter 599 - -599

A towering skyscraper stood in the center; it bore a striking resemblance to the Luo Corporation's headquarters, yet it was even more majestic and imposing. Surrounding the area lay a landscape of rolling hills and forests that created a maze-like atmosphere, alongside a magnificent, opulent architectural complex; the scene teemed with luxurious carriages and beautiful women, while an intoxicating fragrance wafted through the air.

Atop the skyscraper, Zhao Zhiran stood clad in a white lab coat, yet completely naked underneath. Her full, rounded breasts spilled forth; the smooth, supple areolas—tinged a soft lotus-pink and free of blemishes—encircled delicate, slightly recessed nipples that glowed with a vibrant cherry-pink hue, a shade deeper than the surrounding skin.

Perhaps due to frequent sucking or constant engorgement, the tender nipples no longer remained deeply retracted; instead, they rested in a state of slight indentation—like a pearl held between cherry-red lips—poised to rise and harden enticingly at the slightest touch.

Zhao Zhiran gazed at the scenery below; in truth, she knew the landscape intimately, for the entire complex—skyscraper included—had been manifested through the power of her own mind.

On the surface, she appeared entirely under Luo Shaowen's control—so much so that the cautious Luo had even entrusted her with the task of reshaping this space—yet no one could perceive the anxiety she harbored.

Although she had actually orchestrated the events that led to this situation, she had not anticipated that Luo Shaowen would so smoothly become the master of this realm.

Possessing deep insight into "Pure Yang" entities and "Taboo-class" beings, she deduced that Black Street was not merely a manifestation of Li Zhiyu's obsession but also a vital component of a Taboo-class entity. Indeed, in terms of spiritual power, a Taboo-class being could no longer be considered human in the conventional sense.

Their bodies were highly energized; even having their hearts torn out would not easily result in death. Zhao Zhiran had once encountered a research report on ancient transcendents, describing a group of beings from a bygone era who had achieved states such as "indestructible flesh" and "regeneration from a single drop of blood." At first, Zhao Zhiran was skeptical; however, as she gained a deeper understanding of Xiao Dong's physiology and studied the remnants of Li Zhiyu's body, she realized that those claims were likely not exaggerations.

It is indeed possible to achieve such a feat—provided one operates beyond the theoretical framework of "Forbidden-class" entities.

To kill a Forbidden-class entity, one would likely have to strike at the very root of its existence: the spirit. She did not know how Luo Shaowen had succeeded, but she was certain he had paid a tremendous price—perhaps a price so steep that the entire "Seven Deadly Sins" organization had suffered devastating consequences.

The Seven Deadly Sins seemed far too weak to her now. While a "Strategic-class" entity certainly represents a national-level deterrent, the Seven Deadly Sins were unique; they were the embodiment of a "consensus" within Western religion—a manifestation of the seven cardinal sins of humanity—and, on a spiritual level, they ought to have been truly immortal and indestructible.

They should not be reduced to their current state, where they could only manage a wretched, struggling form of rebirth.

Unless, of course, they had been struck down from their original tier by an equally powerful force originating from the spiritual realm.

Luo Shaowen's desperate craving for Li Zhiyu's power likely stemmed from the fact that he himself had lost that capacity for true immortality.

As for Li Zhiyu, his spiritual power had not simply vanished; it had persisted within Black Street, remaining potent enough to overpower even the physical strength contained within the "body" itself.

If Luo Shaowen truly wanted to usurp Li Zhiyu's power, this hurdle was unavoidable. Rather than waiting for him to fully assimilate the power of the "Body" and then seize Li Zhiyu's "Will" while at the peak of his readiness, she decided to drop a "bomb." This forced Luo Shaowen to confront Li Zhiyu's "Will" prematurely, before he was fully prepared.

However, lacking the ability to move freely, Zhao Zhiran could not control the many variables at play. Her original plan had been to command from behind the scenes, with Xiaodong and her sister acting as her hands; this way, even if the plan hit a snag, she could intervene in time to steer it back on track.

But her concern for her sister clouded her judgment, leading to the accidental loss of Fushima. It was akin to a supreme martial artist losing their mind—left with only hands and feet, no matter how powerful, they were bound to fall into the enemy's trap.

Zhao Zhiran alone could not control the variables introduced by Jiang Yingji. Fortunately, the most crucial element did not seem to have fallen into Luo Shaowen's hands; this space was like a seashell abandoned by its original occupant—Luo Shaowen had merely taken it over, much like a hermit crab.

Even so, the utility of this space offered Luo Shaowen immense advantages. Moreover, despite the loss of the most vital component, remnants of "Pure Yang" energy still lingered within the space.

Dealing with this energy alone required Luo Shaowen to expend his full effort, leaving him with no spare capacity to "conquer" her sister.

Yet, Luo Shaowen had no intention of letting her sister go. His gaze turned toward the vast forest—a "hunting ground" he had prepared specifically to deal with her sister, Tang Lanyan.

Her sister was the key to Luo Shaowen assimilating the "Body," so it was hardly surprising that he would resort to any means necessary to subdue her. Back in the laboratory, he hadn't managed to conquer her; even when he tried to sideline her, their fierce "battles"—often so intense they nearly caused the bed to collapse—ended without him truly prevailing. Standing behind the glass partition, Zhao Zhiran watched in awe. Her sister, held aloft in the air, arched her back, thrusting out her firm, shapely buttocks; beneath that smooth, glistening skin, her slender waist—strong as a thin steel blade—transitioned into rounded, voluminous glutes that lacked the flabbiness often associated with such size.
