Phei heard the pain in it.
He vanished.
True Void Steps caught the narrowest surviving hollow beneath the collapsing pressure and swallowed him.
The humanoid monster sensed him too late before something struck its flank.
Phei bashed into it and hit it with his entire body.
There was nothing elegant about the attack. He simply arrived wrapped in Blood Fiend, Primordial Blood and as much brutal physical strength as his newly tempered body could produce, shoulder buried against the World Transcendent's ribs while Infinity Control seized every fragment of ice behind him and hurled it forward as well.
The collision nearly destroyed Phei's shoulder.
Bone cracked beneath the Blood Fiend.
but still; the World Transcendent moved one meter.
Only one.
That meter was all Phei wanted.
He kept pushing in that little instant before it turned to attack him.
