Chapter 68 - Chapter 67 : By nightfall, Mikoto and Raizen arrived at a place filled with ruins.

Next, we must also congratulate Uchiha Tarō, Uchiha Jirō… and the others who are joining the Konoha Military Police Force starting today."

In the dimly lit chamber, Uzuki's restlessness and Raizen's faint smile went largely unnoticed.

Uchiha Fugaku stood at the front, congratulating the clan members who had been assigned to the Police Force.

Those whose names were called stood immediately, faces beaming with excitement.

Watching his clansmen celebrate their new roles, Raizen's smile grew more and more amused.

The Uchiha were, after all, part of Konoha. They could not escape the influence of the village's "Will of Fire."

Fugaku had even once proposed a bloodless revolution.

But unfortunately, the Konoha Military Police Force had been a cage from the very beginning!

Under the pretext of monitoring criminals, the Police Force and the prison were deliberately built in the same location, blatantly pushing the Uchiha to the edge of the village.

Being enforcers of the law naturally made enemies and bred resentment.

In the *Kakashi ANBU Arc*, the Uchiha had merely arrested a drunk causing a disturbance, yet the bystanders accused them of being overly harsh....without caring what might have happened if the drunk had continued his rampage.

And yet, the Uchiha still saw this role as an honor.

Day after day, they handled petty matters: graffiti by children, villagers arguing, trivial disputes.

Such mental exhaustion wasted the clan's extraordinary talent.

"Congratulations, congratulations!"

"Haha, thank you all for your support."

The newly assigned clan members smiled broadly.

"The Uchiha clan is thriving."

Fugaku sighed with emotion. The clan had produced many talented individuals lately, including Raizen—a genius in medical ninjutsu.

How could the Uchiha not prosper?

As he thought this, Fugaku glanced toward Raizen.

Seeing the boy's radiant smile, he nodded approvingly.

This child clearly had a strong sense of clan pride. He was genuinely happy for those joining the Police Force.

The next day.

Raizen went to complete his graduation certificate.

His team leader had not yet been assigned. He was told to meet the team members in a few days.

So he followed Mikoto to the clan archives to collect the scroll for "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique."

The Great Fireball Technique was the signature ninjutsu of the Uchiha clan. Nearly every Uchiha shinobi could perform it.

This time, Uchiha Yōsen's attitude was noticeably warmer.

The Uchiha were a clan that valued strength above all.

In the past, Raizen had been just a newcomer with only one Sharingan eye.

Now, he had become a prodigy who graduated early, with no weaknesses in ninjutsu, taijutsu, or genjutsu—and had even earned the favor of the medical division captain, Yakushi Nonou.

No one wanted to offend such a genius.

"Here it is. Looks like our Uchiha clan has produced another prodigy."

Uchiha Yōsen retrieved an orange-yellow scroll, dusted it off, and turned to the two behind him.

The scar on his face twisted as he grinned, making his smile look quite ugly.

"Yes."

Mikoto nodded.

Her black hair was tied simply with a white ribbon and draped behind her waist. Two thin strands framed her flawless face, giving her a sharp, capable air compared to her future married self.

Even she was surprised Raizen had graduated so quickly.

He had received no early training or private instruction.

Many Uchiha children were taken hunting or taught ninjutsu by their families before even entering the academy.

Raizen had none of that.

"You flatter me."

Raizen said with a faint smile, taking the scroll.

The sudden change in attitude was almost laughable.

"Sister Mikoto, where is the ninja cat clan?"

Raizen asked after receiving the scroll. He wanted to get his own ninja sword as soon as possible.

"I'll take you there. It looks rundown on the outside, but there's more to it than meets the eye…"

The two left and headed outside the Uchiha compound.

As they walked, Mikoto explained what the ninja cat clan was.

The ninja cat clan wasn't truly a clan—it was a group of summoned ninja cats raised by the old woman known as Granny Cat.

Granny Cat was the owner of the weapon shop.

Even among the Five Great Nations, her shop was one of the largest and most renowned.
