Chapter 130: Sengoku's Shock
…
Beneath the thunderous, lightning-filled clouds, a figure shot through the sky like an arrow—it was Sengoku, rushing toward the battlefield where Luo Han, Garp, and Roger fought.
"Since a moment ago... the battle seems to have quieted?"
Step, step—Sengoku's face showed a thoughtful expression as he moved forward. There were no longer any thunderous booms ahead, and the massive wind and waves had also died down.
"Could the battle be ending?"
Sengoku's heart tightened. If the battle was over, it could mean one side had lost—and that meant Garp might be in danger!
Step step! Sengoku picked up speed.
"What's that…?"
Sengoku suddenly halted mid-air, stunned by the sight ahead.
"No way... Garp and Roger are actually working together against that Blue Demon brat???"
He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He had assumed earlier that the two had simply been attacked at the same time, and it had turned into a chaotic three-way brawl—like the battle at Edd War with Roger, Shiki, and Whitebeard. But this—this was clearly Garp and Roger teaming up against Luo Han.
Luo Han floated in the air, maintaining his psychic barrier form. Garp and Roger struck blow after blow against the barrier. Yet strangely, there were no special effects—just clang clang sounds of impact. No shockwaves, no burst of wind, nothing. As if the barrier simply swallowed everything.
Clang clang! Another round of attacks failed to break through. Garp and Roger backed off.
"Sengoku! What are you doing here?"
Garp looked surprised to see Sengoku in the distance.
"Weren't you chasing down the Golden Lion?" he asked.
Step, step! Sengoku arrived beside Garp using Moonwalk. Eyes fixed on Luo Han ahead, he asked solemnly, "Is that brat really so strong now? That you and Roger are teaming up against him?"
Upon hearing the word "teaming," Roger reacted like someone had stepped on his tail. "Hey, hey! Sengoku, don't lump me in with this Garp bastard! I was just testing the kid's defenses!"
"That's right, Sengoku. We're just helping that brat test out his shield—and I'm using it to train my Iron Fist," Garp added, clearly refusing to admit they were working together.
Sengoku stared at the two shameless men, shaking his head in silence, trying to guilt them—but to no effect.
"Yo! Sengoku, you showed up too, huh?" Luo Han called out casually from the distance.
"Brat, don't act like we're pals. I didn't come here for a chat."
Not amused by Luo Han's familiar tone, Sengoku activated his Devil Fruit power—an enormous golden Buddha emerged in the sky.
Only, his bouncy Moonwalk movement made him look more like a hopping zombie than a divine figure. It was oddly comical—at least, that's how Luo Han saw it.
"Blue Demon brat, let's see if your turtle shell can block my shockwaves!"
Sengoku wasn't just tough—he liked to talk, too. He immediately launched a mighty palm attack. But the moment it hit, his face froze in disbelief.
"What the…?"
His shockwave, which moments ago had surged from his palm, melted into Luo Han's barrier like snow meeting fire.
"Ooh! Sengoku, could you hit me with a few more of those?" Luo Han's eyes lit up. Sengoku's shockwaves were pure, with no Haki or personal will mixed in—perfect for being absorbed into his barrier. He loved it.
"Haha! Sengoku, your attacks are probably the least effective against him. Only Haki can counter that absorption ability," Garp laughed loudly, walking up beside Sengoku.
"I see now why you two teamed up," Sengoku said with a resigned smile, finally understanding.
Garp and Roger both tensed, awkwardly silent. The air grew heavy.
"Well then," Luo Han said, turning toward Battleship Island, "since you know how awesome I am, let's call it a day. I'm going home for dinner."
"You're not going anywhere. Stay right here!" Whoosh! Sengoku suddenly appeared in front of Luo Han, blocking his path.
Garp frowned and joined Sengoku. He didn't know what Sengoku was planning, but he'd back him up regardless.
And honestly, Garp wasn't done hitting that shield yet. He'd realized that as long as his Haki was strong enough, Luo Han's shockwave absorption was useless. Luo Han's barrier was better than any mountain for Haki training.
Luo Han frowned at the two of them. "Even if you fight me for another ten days, it'll be useless. The Fleet Admiral won't give you a raise for this, you know. Why not go home and sip tea instead?"
Sengoku ignored Luo Han and turned to Roger. "How about we finish this brat off, right here? I know you want to take him down too."
Garp and Luo Han both looked at Roger, waiting to see his choice.
"Haha! I'll pass, Sengoku. At least you guys get paid for this. I don't. So go ahead—knock yourselves out!"
Roger waved off the offer, casually Moonwalking away back to his ship. But truthfully, if he believed the three of them could kill Luo Han, he wouldn't hesitate. Despite his casual "Luo Han kid" remarks and bold attitude, the cold glint in his eye whenever he looked at Luo Han betrayed his true intent. If given the chance—he'd kill him.
"What a pity. Even the three of us can't break that kid's defense. I've never seen a barrier that even the Voice of All Things can't pierce."
Roger sighed internally. Glancing back one last time, he accelerated and left.
"Roger's gone. You guys should clock out too. Let's fight next time," Luo Han said with a shrug.
Sengoku's face darkened, but he wasn't ready to leave just yet. He looked toward the shipyard on Battleship Island and said coldly, "Even if I can't hurt you, the shipyard on the island can't be allowed to remain."
"Garp, keep this brat busy—I'm going to destroy the shipyard," Sengoku said, taking off with Moonwalk before Garp could respond.
"Be care… ful!" Garp called out, but it was too late—one of Luo Han's golden spears was already flying toward Sengoku.
Clang! Sengoku punched the spear's tip, producing a massive shockwave.
"Such power…"
He barely had time to finish the thought when—BOOM!—the golden spear exploded into a glowing sphere that engulfed him.
"That damn brat!" Garp cursed, immediately leaping toward Luo Han and throwing a punch.
But Luo Han had already switched back into his psychic armor mode. He was fast.
Whoosh! He swiftly dodged Garp's punch and reappeared in front of the explosion, blocking both men.
Moments later, the blast cleared. Sengoku reappeared—his navy cloak was scorched away, but otherwise, he was unharmed.
"Geez… You really don't want me to leave, huh? Then let's all stay right here together!"
Luo Han's eyes narrowed. He raised his right hand, snapping his fingers—snap!—and two massive psychic vortexes appeared behind him. From within them, countless explosive golden spears began to emerge.
