Chapter 200 - Chapter 200: Perfect Armament Haki (Part 2)

Chapter 200: Perfect Armament Haki (Part 2)

Over on the training field, their fists still locked in collision, Luo Han seemed momentarily distracted—something that made Ellis furious.

Boom! She swung hard, unleashing a massive force. Luo Han was sent flying again, crashing into a large tree. It trembled violently, but didn't fall—she'd held back at the last second.

"Luo Han! Are you okay?" Aishi rushed over to help him up, her face full of concern.

"I'm fine," Luo Han smiled, rubbing her head gently. "Don't worry about me."

"You can head back," he added, then turned to Ellis. "That's enough training for today. Ellis, keep sparring with Cole."

Before anyone could say more, Luo Han disappeared into the forest using Shave. He couldn't wait to test his theory.

"Lo—" Ellis didn't even finish calling his name before he vanished. She turned to Cole, eyes narrowing. "Come on then!"

Cole swallowed hard. He had a bad feeling about this, but still replied, "Okay, Ellis!"

And so, once again, Cole became her training dummy.

...

Elsewhere, Luo Han returned to the Poneglyph. Sitting down immediately, he activated his spiritual perception.

Although he still couldn't peer inside the perfect force field, he could use the surface readings to refine his Armament Haki.

"I'm really lucky to have found this way to strengthen it," Luo Han thought. This trip to Fish-Man Island had been worth it.

Normally, strengthening Armament Haki required long-term honing—letting one's willpower, which acted like a net controlling Haki, slowly adapt and shrink its mesh to better contain it.

"It's a passive process—like how Garp trains by punching mountains. When he can break a mountain with one punch, it means his willpower net has grown tight enough to concentrate Haki at that destructive level."

Luo Han's earlier training—using the perfect field's aura to guide his Haki—was the same: passive strengthening. It was always just short of perfect.

That was why Luo Han had gotten so excited when he discovered the perfect field within the Poneglyph. He thought he could skip years of trial-and-error and instead mimic its exact structure.

If he could actively weave a net with extremely tight mesh using pure willpower, then he could raise his Haki's durability dramatically in a short time.

"And most importantly, if I structure it this way, my will and my Armament Haki will become one. Even if Ellis's will is stronger, she won't be able to shatter it."

He chuckled to himself. In their next spar, she was definitely going to be shocked.

"Let's test it now."

He gathered his willpower and began forming Haki, mimicking the aura and structure of the perfect field. His will took form as threads, repeatedly combining in different patterns.

Time passed.

The strength of his Haki fluctuated constantly, but it was clear—his theory was correct. Willpower truly was the key.

As he combined various constructs, his Armament Haki steadily strengthened.

Night fell again.

"Damn it..."

A frustrated mutter echoed through the forest. Luo Han's expression darkened in front of the Poneglyph.

He'd thought that understanding the relationship between willpower and Haki would allow him to replicate the perfect field. But it still wasn't enough.

It was like when he first tried to mimic Rocks's Haki technique—there were countless variations. Knowing how to build it wasn't the same as knowing which exact design would work.

"I need to get inside the field. Without seeing the structure, I'm just shooting in the dark."

That night, Luo Han returned to camp for dinner, his thoughts elsewhere. Everyone noticed but chose not to ask. They could see he'd hit a wall.

The next day, Luo Han returned again to the Poneglyph.

No progress.

Same result on the third day.

Fourth day.

...

"Twelve days since that second spar with Ellis," Luo Han muttered the next morning. "If I don't get a breakthrough today, we leave tomorrow."

With more than two weeks passed, the World Government's focus on Sabaody should've cooled down. It was time to escort Sister Spoon and Aishi back.

But he still wasn't satisfied.

"This perfect field… why won't it let me in?!"

He sighed and looked at his Haki-coated hands. The density was now comparable to Garp's—perhaps even surpassing it.

He'd mimicked the structure well enough to approach the aura of perfection—but without entering the field, he couldn't achieve the true breakthrough.

...

That evening, Luo Han returned to camp.

Everyone sat around the feast prepared by Aishi and Sora in honor of their final night on Fish-Man Island.

"Come sit here, Luo Han!" Aishi called, pointing to the spot beside her.

"Coming."

Luo Han smiled and sat beside her—Ellis on his other side. As always.

"Tonight's our last night here. Let's enjoy it properly."

Raising his cup, he looked around. "Cheers to the end of a perfect adventure—and to the beauty of what's next!"

"Cheers!" everyone echoed, drinking with him.

Laughter followed. They shared jokes and stories until the night deepened.

...

Later that night, everyone fell asleep.

Luo Han lay on a hilltop, Aishi nestled in his arms.

"She's asleep already," Sister Spoon said, passing by with a drink and sitting beside him.

"She is," Luo Han replied, smiling at the peaceful expression on Aishi 's face.

"Are you sure about this?" Sister Spoon asked, gesturing toward Aishi .

"You mean letting her stay with you for a while?"

He hesitated. The thought of parting so soon after growing close stung a little.

But he sighed, and finally nodded. "Yes. I'll find a way to remove the will seed in her mind soon."

"Alright then."

Sister Spoon got up. "If that's what you've decided, I won't say more. Good night."

After she left, Luo Han held Aishi tighter.

Now wasn't the right time to stay together. Not until he could cleanse her mind completely. He had to keep moving forward.

"I'll check her spirit again," he murmured, activating his mind-based ability.

Thanks to Aishi 's peaceful state, his consciousness entered her mental world smoothly.

There it was—a will seed. Small, but firmly rooted.

"It grew slightly again."

Though the change was barely noticeable, Luo Han's face hardened.

If this was happening just from proximity to Akatsuki, then even passive contact was a danger. And if not—if the seed was growing naturally—that was even worse.

He had to act. Fast.

"Tomorrow, I'll take Aishi and Sister Spoon to Sabaody, then head out. Every minute will go into training my Mind-Mind Fruit."

With resolve, he exited her mind.

Then a new thought struck him.

"What if... I used this mind power's special frequency?"

He'd never thought of it before. All his attempts to breach the perfect field had relied on brute-force spiritual pressure.

But this wave—this unique frequency that could enter someone's soul—maybe it could work.

"It's worth a try."

Immediately, he directed his mind into the Poneglyph, channeling the wave.

"It worked!"

To his amazement, his consciousness slipped into the perfect field—not by force, but by stepping into another dimension.

"What is this...? Equilateral triangles?!"

Luo Han was stunned.

Within the perfect field, countless glowing dots connected in groups of three, forming an endless network of three-dimensional equilateral triangles.

A flawless lattice—stable and uniform.

"I can't believe it... Those ancient artisans actually used triangle-stability theory."

Finally, he understood. And with it, peace filled his heart.

He glanced at the sleeping Aishi and smiled with warmth.

"That's my woman. Even asleep, she helps me."

It was time to test the structure.

Using his will, he formed dots—then used threads to connect them in equilateral triangles, just like the lattice he'd seen.

"It's hard to control the distances..."

Then he realized: dots alone wouldn't stabilize it. He needed lines to form a mesh—just like a net—to hold the Haki together.

"This time, I'll make it work."

His will formed a flawless lattice. Haki fused perfectly with it.

"This... this is true perfection."

He raised his hand and clenched a fist.

No energy leaked out.

It was like polished steel—seamless and unbreakable.

If you looked at it magnified a million times, it still looked as smooth as the naked eye saw.

Not even Rocks had achieved this.

"Back then, if I'd had this, I wouldn't have been knocked out by Rocks's full-power blast."

And he knew—he didn't even need to test it. This Haki would reflect all shockwaves below its limit.

Even special Devil Fruit powers—like Sugar's Hobby-Hobby or Law's Ope Ope—couldn't break through.

"Perfect."

Time to sleep.

Satisfied, Luo Han let his new power fade and closed his eyes with a contented smile.
