Chapter 250 - Chapter 250: The Talent Aura of Plants

Chapter 250: The Talent Aura of Plants

Out over the sea, AEllis remained by the giant vine stem, still trying to reshape its biological potential to survive in seawater.

"Why is it so difficult?" she muttered. She had already conveyed her intentions through her natural energy, yet the vine remained confused—its evolutionary trajectory an uncoordinated mess.

Sigh! "Looks like it's still not working," Luo Han said, shaking his head. While AEllis could induce plant evolution, she had no way of controlling the exact direction of that evolution.

To allow the vine to adapt to the ocean, it would have to gradually learn to survive in seawater on its own, aided by AEllis 's natural energy. But that kind of change would take time—at least a month, Luo Han estimated, judging by his spiritual perception.

Too slow.

Turning to the other three women, Luo Han said, "You stay with AEllis —I'm heading to Island 12 to try something."

"Mm," they nodded, knowing he was going to attempt a talent transplant.

…

Island 12

Luo Han hovered in the air, fully focused, sensing the natural aura of the Yarukiman Mangrove.

Unlike the talent auras of animals or humans, plant auras were far harder to detect—blurred, like hidden behind a veil.

Ten minutes passed.

Finally, with persistent spiritual probing, Luo Han located the Yarukiman Mangrove's innate talent aura.

"Hm… I can't transplant this directly into the vine." Luo Han frowned.

Unlike humans with fixed physical forms, plants were more malleable. If he transplanted the full aura, the vine might morph into a Yarukiman-like tree instead, losing its original shape.

That's not what Luo Han wanted. He only needed the ability to survive in seawater, not the full transformation.

"Let's try using the Talent Modification ability."

Using his awakened mind powers, Luo Han recorded the mangrove's talent aura and brought it into his mindscape.

There, like a surgeon, he began dissecting it—removing all traits related to form, color, and bark structure, leaving only the traits related to seawater adaptation.

He also preserved its unique ability to generate air bubbles.

This way, even Sky Island can have bubble culture! Luo Han thought with satisfaction.

…

Back at the vine, AEllis continued her efforts—but to Luo Han's spiritual senses, it was still chaos.

He returned and appeared beside her.

"What?" AEllis snapped, a little irritable and embarrassed. She'd been so confident yesterday, yet today she had achieved nothing.

"I've isolated the mangrove's seawater-adaptive trait. I'll implant it into the vine. You continue with your natural energy—it should evolve properly this time."

"Really?"

"Would I lie to you?"

"…Okay, do it."

Luo Han smiled and projected a Talent Flame into the vine.

Immediately, AEllis surged with energy, and the vine responded—rapidly evolving along the guided path.

Within about a minute, the evolution completed. Its appearance hadn't changed, but internally, the transformation was significant.

"Did it work?" AEllis asked uncertainly. This was her first time using evolution like this and she wasn't sure what to expect.

Luo Han didn't answer. He was watching intently, sensing the internal chemical reactions and environmental changes.

"Hey! Luo Han!" AEllis raised her voice. "I asked you—huh?"

Before she could finish, a five-meter-wide bubble emerged from the vine's surface.

Pop! AEllis leapt onto it. It was soft and springy—just like the bubbles on Sabaody Archipelago.

"It worked!" she beamed.

POP! The bubble burst. AEllis stood frozen in surprise.

"Wait, did it fail?"

"No, it succeeded," Luo Han reassured her. "Right now there's only one vine—the climate support and strength of the bubbles are still weak. Once we've planted more, they'll become stable."

"Phew…" AEllis clutched her chest in relief, her generous curves bouncing slightly.

Luo Han looked down, mildly entranced.

It's been a long time since I enjoyed some "old tree root entanglement" closeness, he thought.

Then he remembered—AEllis had said after awakening her true form that she could grow or shrink at will.

Perfect. He smirked. Tonight's going to be fun!

Smack! AEllis slapped his arm. "Stop that weird thinking. Hurry and call Raijin over."

Luo Han laughed heartily. She can read me like a book…

"Raijin, come here!"

The thundercloud floated in from where it had been with Akatsuki.

"Use Island Clouds to form a floating island," Luo Han instructed, transmitting an image of Sky Island's layout directly into Raijin's mind.

"Got it, Boss!"

Raijin immediately began forming cloud matter at the base of the vine, following the mental blueprint.

"Let's head back to the others," Luo Han said to AEllis , and they flew off.

"Did it work?" Sora asked as they returned.

"Yep," Luo Han grinned. "Now it's just a matter of cloud layering."

"I'll return to Island 7," Sora said. "I've seen enough. I'll continue gathering intel on Vegapunk and let you know if anything turns up."

With a flash, she flew off.

Luo Han nodded inwardly and turned back to Raijin.

At the 200-meter mark, a fifty-meter-thick ring of Island Cloud had formed. Once it reached the size of Sabaody, Luo Han signaled a stop.

"Raijin, keep going. Every 500 meters, make another layer—each smaller by 20%."

"…Huh?" Raijin blinked blankly. "What's 500? What's 20%?"

"Raijin won't understand that!" Akatsuki laughed. "Just show him where to build!"

"Yeah!" Aishi chimed in. "Even I didn't get that!"

The others turned to her, stunned by her accidental self-dunk.

"What?" Aishi frowned, confused.

"…Nothing," Luo Han said, face twitching. "You're right."

He sent images directly to Raijin, who then layered four more cloud discs along the vine—each higher and smaller.

In total, there were now five floating disks around the vine, forming a towering, otherworldly pillar in the sea.

"Luo Han, AEllis —help me plant one near Dream Island too," Akatsuki said.

"Sure."

"I'm heading back to Arknight Island," said Aishi .

After planting another vine near Dream Island and dispersing ten more around the main island, the floating city vision was nearly realized.

…

New World – Calm Belt

After lunch, Luo Han arrived beneath the Red Line near Mariejois.

This was the same Calm Belt area where he had previously started using his mind powers to command sea kings in his search for the Lantern Fish.

This time, he had a new goal:

With his awakened Mind Fruit, he could now create enough Divine Will daily to control 25 sea kings—and growing.

His new plan was to eventually control all sea kings in both Calm Belts bordering the Grand Line—so that even Poseidon, ancient weapon or not, would be rendered powerless.

"The stronger I become, the more I can enjoy this world. Power is the foundation of everything."

Luo Han never forgot that.

After controlling 25 sea kings today, he implanted two auras in each: one for steel-hard durability, and one to grant them humanoid transformation.

Thus, a new species was born—Sea Kingkin.

Through mental influence, he instilled in them pride and identity as a race.

"All done. Back tomorrow."

It had taken less than an hour.
