Chapter 115 - Chapter 115: Yu Xiaogang Takes Tang San to Steal Corpses

Chapter 115: Yu Xiaogang Takes Tang San to Steal Corpses

Leaving the dormitory, Luo Ling spotted Xiao Wu walking alone down a quiet path.

The little bunny's face was expressionless, but anxiety filled her eyes.

Yesterday's battle at the Great Spirit Arena had been terrifying—the appearance of Haotian Douluo, the clash of Contras and Titled Douluos from every major power—any one of them could have destroyed her in an instant.

She had spent the entire time secretly panicking, terrified her true identity as a 100,000-year spirit beast would be exposed. Yet somehow, none of the powerful experts had even glanced at her, as if she were invisible.

She couldn't understand it, but the fear in her chest never left.

"Are you afraid?" a quiet voice suddenly came from behind her.

Xiao Wu jumped nervously, bounding several steps away like a startled rabbit.

Luo Ling stood calmly a short distance away, walking toward her with deliberate slowness.

"I told you before," he said evenly, "once you went back to the Star Dou Forest, you shouldn't have returned. And now, Titled Douluos are swarming this place…"

His casual tone only deepened the panic in her expression.

Luo Ling sighed softly. "Relax. You don't need to worry. They can't sense what you really are."

Her eyes widened slightly.

"I made a few adjustments," he continued. "Your spirit beast aura is completely hidden by me now."

"Hidden…?" Xiao Wu whispered in disbelief.

He smiled faintly. "Otherwise, do you really think so many Titled Douluos would have ignored a hundred-thousand-year spirit beast fighting in the open arena?"

The warmth in his smile somehow quieted her panic.

She stared at him for a long moment, then bit her lip and said softly, "Thank you. I'll repay you someday."

A faint blush crept across her face, and before Luo Ling could reply, she turned and ran off down the path—like a flustered, shy rabbit.

Luo Ling's smile faded slightly as he watched her disappear into the distance.

She didn't know—she didn't understand—what her "safety" truly cost.

Soto City, cemetery.

The evening sky grew darker as Director Ao stared grimly at the carts of corpses being hauled in.

All of them were victims from the Great Spirit Arena massacre.

Yes—every one killed by Haotian Douluo the night before.

So many dead, and now the blame had fallen squarely on the arena management.

"Damn that Haotian Douluo!" Director Ao swore aloud, slamming a fist against a tombstone.

The arena had been reduced to ruins—closed indefinitely, repairs costing a fortune.

Now, he was being forced to pay not only for rebuilding but also for burial costs, alongside countless compensation claims from families of the deceased.

The overwhelming burden made him want to collapse.

And the one responsible—the Haotian Douluo himself—had vanished.

Not that Director Ao would have dared confront him; one swing of that hammer would turn him into paste.

Sighing, he looked at the corpses again under the fading light, then waved to the workers.

"Enough for tonight—we'll burn them all tomorrow," he muttered, turning away while cursing under his breath.

"Damn that Haotian Douluo… damn that Clear Sky Sect…"

When he left, silence reclaimed the cemetery.

Ten minutes later, the grass rustled, and two figures crept out from the shadows.

"Teacher, what are we doing here? Isn't this a cemetery?"

"Xiao San, your teacher always has a reason. Just stay quiet and watch—don't you trust me?"

The voices grew clearer as the moonlight revealed their faces—Yu Xiaogang and Tang San.

Under the soft glow, Yu Xiaogang's eyes gleamed eagerly as he stared at the line of corpses.

They were still fresh—none dead for more than twenty-four hours.

Every single one was a spirit master, and one among them had even been a Spirit King.

If I sacrifice them all… he thought feverishly, how much stronger will I become?

A hunger burned in his eyes.

"Teacher?" Tang San's voice broke the silence, puzzled by the strange look on his mentor's face.

Yu Xiaogang quickly composed himself, clearing his throat.

"Xiao San, yesterday's battle… it made you feel powerless, didn't it?" he asked lightly.

Tang San clenched his fists, muscles trembling as flashes of the Warlock's overwhelming power filled his mind.

"Teacher…"

"Do you want to become stronger?" Yu Xiaogang interrupted, his gaze sharp, almost feverish.

Tang San hesitated, then nodded slightly.

"You already know—the Douluo Continent respects only strength," Yu Xiaogang continued.

"I once said there are no useless martial souls, only useless spirit masters. That's still true."

"Your Blue Silver Grass is looked down upon by everyone, yet under my teaching, you've surpassed most spirit masters."

He paused and then added slowly, "But even so, compared to truly powerful martial souls, your Blue Silver Grass is still too weak."

Tang San froze as the words struck him. The Warlock's image returned to his mind. Yu Xiaogang wasn't wrong. Among the Shrek Seven Devils, his strength was considerable—but against someone like the Warlock, he was an insect.

If only he possessed a martial soul as powerful as that…

His hand tightened as his thoughts drifted to the hammer within him.

"Teacher," he said suddenly, raising his head, hope flickering in his eyes, "can I train with my Haotian Hammer?"

Yu Xiaogang blinked for a moment before shaking his head.

"No. The Haotian Hammer is indeed powerful, but granting it spirit rings now would waste your potential."

"You're a twin-souled spirit master. Until you reach the level of a Titled Douluo, adding spirit rings to the hammer would be foolish."

He rejected the idea outright.

"But—"

"No 'buts'!" Yu Xiaogang snapped. "I know you're dissatisfied, but what I mean by growing stronger isn't cultivating your hammer—it's another method entirely."

"Another method?" Tang San asked cautiously.

"Yes," Yu Xiaogang said with a mysterious smile.

"What method, teacher?"

Silence fell for a moment. Then Yu Xiaogang turned his head, his eyes carrying a strange gleam.

"Have you ever heard of… the Primordial God?"

"The Primordial… God?" Tang San repeated, stunned.

Yu Xiaogang's lips curved. "You may not know, but gods are real. The Spirit Hall serves the Angel God. Across the seas, there's the Sea God. And above them all exists the one I'm telling you about—the Primordial God."

Tang San stared blankly, his disbelief mingled with unease.

In his previous world, legends of deities had always existed—beings of unimaginable power and mystery.

Yu Xiaogang watched Tang San's expression, smiling faintly.

"Today, I'll share with you the secret of the Primordial God—the secret that can make you stronger."
