Chapter 112 - Chapter 112: Schemes and Intentions

Chapter 112: Schemes and Intentions

Her strength was no weaker than his, yet under the crushing weight of his aura, she felt constrained, restricted.

Bibi Dong knew Tang Hao possessed the heart of an invincible warrior—no matter who his enemy was, he always met them head-on with a single hammer strike.

She had always treated Tang Hao as her ultimate rival, but that mindset left her on the defensive instead of taking the initiative.

Still, she held one overwhelming advantage—her twin martial spirits, supplying her with endless soul power.

And with the Death Spider Emperor as one of her spirits, her ninth soul skill granted her near-immortality—no one could kill her.

For that reason, Bibi Dong had no fear.

The two collided fiercely, explosions tearing through the air again and again.

Yet the word "soul bone" that Tang Hao had shouted reached everyone's ears, sending waves of speculation through the bystanders.

After all, Tang Hao's wife had been a hundred-thousand-year spirit beast. That meant her soul bone would be a hundred-thousand-year treasure as well.

Could Spirit Hall really have stolen it?

Dugu Feng's expression stayed neutral, but privately, he was thrilled.

The greatest benefit is mine anyway.

Even the final remnants of Ah Yin's essence still infused one of his Dan Pearls, feeding it energy constantly.

While others were fixated on the soul bone, what truly stunned them was Bibi Dong's strength.

Ning Fengzhi, Sword Douluo, and Bone Douluo all traded looks of grim surprise.

Bibi Dong wasn't even that old—barely a junior compared to the two Douluo. Even Ning Fengzhi, though youthful in appearance, was older than her.

And yet, she could fight Tang Hao—the famed Haotian Douluo, who had shaken the continent more than ten years ago—to a stalemate.

Her power was beyond what they had imagined.

Elsewhere, at the base of the mountains, five towering figures stood side by side, each over two meters tall, imposing as carved mountains.

At the center stood a broad-shouldered man with features chiseled like stone—Tang Xiao, the current Sect Master of the Clear Sky Sect.

His sharp, commanding gaze pierced through the chaos as he concentrated on sensing the battle above.

To his sides stood four elders, all gray-haired—Qingyang Douluo, Fanyang Douluo, and the third and fourth elders, Dongyang Douluo and Haoyang Douluo.

These five were the Clear Sky Sect's Title Douluo.

"Now," Tang Xiao said calmly, "do you still insist on lifting the sect's seclusion?"

The four elders exchanged uneasy looks.

"Sect Master, don't mock us," sighed Second Elder Qingyang Douluo bitterly. "Spirit Hall's power far surpasses our expectations—and that new Pope, Bibi Dong, is terrifyingly strong!"

The others frowned silently.

They had once thought that a woman could only succeed the papal seat because of Qian Xunji's sudden death, a desperate move by Qian Daoliu.

But now they realized—this new Pope's strength was monstrous.

"When the old master sealed the sect to calm Spirit Hall's wrath, many clansmen held resentment—understandably.

But as the leaders of this sect, we cannot lead our people to destruction.

I know you all still resent my younger brother, but you cannot deny his power.

Bibi Dong has battled him this long without victory. And with so many Title Douluo around, not to mention the unseen Worship Hall, if we lift the seal, we're marching to our deaths."

Tang Xiao's tone was firm, his words leaving no room for argument.

"Yes, Sect Master," the elders said, finally dropping the subject.

"Still, the one who spread rumors of our strength cannot be allowed to go unpunished," grumbled the Second Elder, his brows twitching angrily. "That man deliberately sowed discord between us and Spirit Hall—his intentions are vile.

For the next few years, our clan will struggle even to obtain spirit rings!"

Tang Xiao frowned. "I'm certain Ning Fengzhi is also investigating the hand behind this."

He, too, had heard Tang Hao's roar during the battle.

Ah Yin and her soul bone were missing.

He knew his brother wouldn't lie.

Whoever had taken them—and whoever had stirred up these rumors—they had to be connected.

But which power had the ability to locate the hidden place where Tang Hao had kept them? Even Tang Xiao couldn't guess.

He would have to speak with his brother soon.

Tang Hao, it's not that I won't help you—but the situation on this continent is too volatile. A single mistake could doom us all.

Tang Xiao sighed deeply.

"Haotian Sect still has five Title Douluo," Dugu Feng murmured in awe. "If they all fought together, even Spirit Hall couldn't withstand them.

Spirit Hall's arrogance in Heaven Dou City lately—I only hope Haotian Sect can drive them out."

He looked concerned outwardly, but in truth, he mocked them inwardly.

So cautious! They haven't even lost anyone yet, and they're already hiding?

At the sect gates, while Tang Hao fought Bibi Dong to the death mere miles away, none of the Clear Sky Sect's members had moved to aid him.

Suddenly, a thought struck Dugu Feng.

Could Bibi Dong be refusing to let her own Title Douluo join the battle deliberately—to lure the Clear Sky Sect out?

Maybe she has other plans entirely...

He frowned. Never underestimate Bibi Dong. Perhaps the Worship Hall's enforcers are already hidden nearby, waiting.

Old Snake, understanding Dugu Feng's thoughts, sighed inwardly. Young master, you want the Clear Sky Sect and Spirit Hall's Douluo to destroy each other, don't you?

While everyone harbored their own calculations, the battlefield thundered once more.

A giant hammer vanished into the sky.

"Bibi Dong! Just you wait—Spirit Hall owes me blood, and I'll make sure to collect every last drop!"

Tang Hao fled.

His old injuries left him unable to fight for long, but he made sure to leave a threat before disappearing into the distance.

At the heart of the battlefield, amid the blazing violet light, Bibi Dong remained in her martial spirit form—and her appearance was monstrous.

Her upper body was encased in dark purple armor that even covered most of her face, leaving only her eyes—and four smaller eyes beneath them—visible.

Her lower body was transformed entirely; from her abdomen down, she had turned into a massive round spider torso, with eight long, hairy legs dripping with foul, greenish mucus.

Her transformation was utterly complete, a testament to the terrifying purity of her beast spirit's bloodline.

The Death Spider Emperor's power was immense—it even granted her a soul skill of pseudo-immortality.

Gradually, her eight spider legs retracted, and she resumed her regal human form.

She would not allow anyone to witness her grotesque side.

Moments later, the disgusting appearance melted away, leaving her again as the radiant, golden Pope in her gleaming ceremonial gown, gemmed scepter in hand.

Her cold, majestic eyes turned toward the mountain range.

Softly, she murmured, "Tang Xiao, Tang Hao… you feel untouchable now. You believe I am like Qian Daoliu—one who will never attack your mountain gates.

Good. Keep believing that.

That's exactly the illusion I want you to have.

You think I can't touch you—but soon, you'll see how wrong you are."
