Chapter 205: Damn Spirit Transmission Tower, I Will Return!
"Death… is the final destination of all things."
Twelve Death Knights soared past Yun Ming, streaking across the ocean skies.
Although Halosa could not disengage himself from battle for now, all twelve Death Knights wielded the power of Super Douluo. They could at least secure the retreat of the Holy Spirit Cult's surviving members.
"The Emperor's command is the call of the soul!"
Yun Ming lunged forward with his spear, but Underworld King Halosa blocked him.
"Trying to leave? Get through me first!"
Halosa couldn't defeat Yun Ming outright, but stalling him long enough for his Death Knights to depart—that, he could do.
"Hmph! Sea God Pavilion, hear my order—stop them!"
Across the sea, the twelve Death Knights faced off against the elders of the Sea God Pavilion.
A terrifying aura engulfed the ocean as the two forces clashed in a cataclysmic battle.
Their energy flared violently, colliding in radiant bursts of light.
"What an incredible defense!"
Feng Wuyu felt a twinge of shock. The Death Knights' defenses surpassed those of ordinary Super Douluo.
Not only that—they moved in perfect unison, three by three, forming coordinated kill formations.
At the Titled Douluo level, cooperation was complicated. Other than support-type masters or those with fusion skills, most Douluo struggled to combine strength efficiently.
Otherwise, their powerful attacks would interfere with each other instead of helping.
Large-scale coordinated fights at this rank were almost unheard of.
Yet these twelve Death Knights fought as one.
"Are you kidding me—they're all wearing three-word Battle Armor!?"
Feng Wuyu grimaced.
The other elders shared his frustration.
These Death Knights fought too smoothly—it felt less like battling twelve foes and more like facing one terrifying monolith.
One against twelve?
"Perhaps we should just let them go. The Spirit Transmission Tower has treated Shrek Academy terribly—we've no reason to help them!"
"Agreed. The Pavilion Master is already holding off a Limit Douluo—that's enough. Let's just…"
"But what about the Pavilion Master's orders?"
After a brief exchange, the Sea God Pavilion elders silently agreed. They would let the Death Knights go.
After all, the Death Knights were dead things—while they were living souls. There was no reason to risk their lives for the Spirit Transmission Tower.
Besides, letting the Tower suffer a blow might even be satisfying.
Without interference, the Death Knights disengaged and vanished as streaks of black light over the horizon.
"Damn it!"
The Ghost Emperor could only watch as more of his subordinates fell under the Tower's assault, emotion surging in his chest.
Though he had always regarded them as expendable, watching them all die meant one thing—he would be left utterly alone.
And he couldn't even escape; the man before him matched his power blow for blow.
The world had long known of the Qian Gu Clan's "three Limit Douluo"—Qian Gu Diting, Qian Gu Dongfeng, and Qian Gu Qingfeng.
But of those three, Qian Gu Qingfeng was the most mysterious—quiet, unknown, reclusive.
Now, facing him in person, the Ghost Emperor realized the truth.
He was terrifying.
"Seems I have no other choice…"
He bit his finger, letting blood drip over the skeletal beast beneath him. The skeleton shattered instantly, releasing waves of crimson mist that enveloped the remaining Holy Spirit Cult members.
Every soul master below the Titled rank exploded into bloody mist on the spot.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
All that remained was raining blood.
A sacrifice ritual!
Qian Gu Dongfeng instantly sensed danger and channeled his Coiling Dragon Staff to shield their group, but it was useless.
Once one had joined the Holy Spirit Cult, their life and death were bound to it. The Ghost Emperor's will alone could end them.
Blood rain poured as the sea roared violently.
A thunderous roar echoed across the entire Heaven Dou Continent!
The sky darkened.
An indescribable divine aura engulfed all hearts present. Qian Gu Dongfeng and Qian Gu Qingfeng—both at the Limit Douluo rank—could immediately sense that this power far exceeded their own.
The brothers exchanged horrified looks. "A god?"
Could the Holy Spirit Cult have contacted a god?
"Damn you, Spirit Transmission Tower! I will return!"
Moments later, the surviving Holy Spirit Cult members turned into spheres of black light and vanished into the heavens.
No one dared pursue them.
The presence of a god still lingered above.
As the oppressive aura finally faded, Qian Gu Dongfeng exhaled sharply, his voice trembling. "Qingfeng… was that…?"
Qian Gu Qingfeng's face was pale and grim. "It was divine aura. A god's power."
Having already touched the threshold of godhood himself, he could recognize it instantly.
Though the Douluo Plane restricted true ascension, this presence was unmistakably higher—divine.
He had thought gods no longer existed within this world. Yet somehow, the Holy Spirit Cult had called one forth.
"Tower Master," an elder urged, "this matter is no longer something the Spirit Transmission Tower can handle. We must report to the Federation immediately!"
A god's intervention—likely an evil god—and apparently, on the side of the Holy Spirit Cult.
Fortunately, that divine being had not attacked them directly.
Even so, an uneasy question haunted every heart present.
"Wait—that divine aura came from the sea. Could it be the Sea God?"
"Impossible!" another replied sharply. "The original Sea God was Tang San—ancestor of the Tang Sect and one of the first generation Shrek Seven Devils! The Sea God would never support the Holy Spirit Cult."
"And besides—the Divine Realm's gone. There shouldn't be any gods left at all."
The question left the entire Tower uneasy.
Qian Gu Dongfeng's tone grew cold. "If, by some chance, it was the Sea God, then Shrek Academy owes us an explanation."
"To think… they might be working with evil soul masters, standing against every soul master on the continent!"
At this moment—ironically—the Spirit Transmission Tower stood as the righteous faction.
Meanwhile, across the Heaven Dou Continent—
Both the Heaven Soul Empire and the Fighting Spirit Empire lodged joint protests against the Douluo Federation.
Their diplomats' voices rang with outrage.
"Is the Douluo Federation trying to meddle in our internal affairs?"
"We may acknowledge your Federation's power, but we will never accept violations of our sovereignty!"
"We demand the immediate withdrawal of your forces and severe punishment for the Spirit Transmission Tower!"
No notice, no diplomatic note—just sudden military incursion into the Heaven Dou Continent.
Did they think the empires were clay in their hands?
Well, perhaps their strength was lacking.
But that didn't mean they would be trampled on.
And if the Douluo Federation had really acted without restraint—
Did they now seek to unify the entire plane?
Then why not start with someone stronger—like the Xingluo Federation?
