Chapter 211: The Sea God Pavilion Master Fights the Sea God Pavilion? What a Joke!
Of course, believing wild rumors was less credible than believing that the Demon Emperor might have become a god.
After all, how could the revered Sea God—the divine protector of the world—possibly be the founder of the evil soul masters?
Wasn't that the most absurd thing imaginable?
If that "Lord Sea God" were truly the ancestor of evil soul masters, how would humanity still exist today?
Still, within the Federation, many carried a deep-seated resentment toward the Sea God.
After all, during the reign of the former Sun and Moon Federation—when they were on the brink of conquering all the continents—it was that "aloof and mighty deity" who intervened from above.
That divine interference forced the transformation of the Sun and Moon Empire into the Heaven Dou Empire—shattering their long-sought dream of unification.
Even though the Tang God-King himself had suppressed all information, rumors had still leaked out over generations.
And so, whispers persisted:
The Sea God was the villain.
The Speaker frowned. "If the Demon Emperor truly ascended to godhood, could we deploy a divinity-slaying weapon to destroy her?"
Chen Xinjie, the Hanhai Douluo—the one closest to divinity—quietly shook his head.
"No. Even setting aside whether such a 'god-slaying' weapon could work, a Titled Douluo can sense danger instinctively and escape a lock-on. A being who has reached the divine realm? Impossible to target."
"In fact," he added, "if that aura truly came from the Demon Emperor, I suspect she has not yet entered the full realm of godhood."
Qian Gu Dongfeng frowned. "What do you mean by that?"
Chen Xinjie closed his eyes. An overwhelming pressure filled the room—a boundless sensation as if sinking into an infinite ocean. The vast sea's hostility pressed against everyone's souls—cold, suffocating, endless.
"You've… already reached this stage?"
Everyone stared in shock. Even those familiar with Chen Xinjie's strength had never felt him radiate such mighty spiritual force.
It was the mental strength of a god—a divine consciousness.
Spirit transmuted into divinity, thought turned into creation—the Divine Source Realm.
When he finally opened his eyes, the aura receded.
"Currently," Chen Xinjie explained, "the Douluo Plane remains sealed from the Divine Realm. There is no place for gods. Even if one unleashes divine power, the plane itself will reject and dissolve that energy—because no realm exists to sustain it."
"Wait, what 'realm'? What 'divinity'?" the Speaker asked blankly.
Unlike the others, he was a politician, not a warrior—his strength artificially enhanced by medicines to Soul Sage level at best. He couldn't sense divine pressure at all.
Chen Xinjie replied calmly, "You couldn't perceive it—you wouldn't have survived it."
The Speaker blinked. "So I'm just… weak, then."
Ignoring the awkwardness, Chen Xinjie continued. "In any case, there's little to fear. If she truly were a god, she would have acted against us already."
"But we must remain vigilant—the Demon Emperor and the Holy Spirit Cult might attempt to reopen the Abyssal Plane Gate."
At that name, the room's atmosphere chilled immediately.
Everyone present remembered the near-apocalyptic losses caused by the last Abyssal invasion.
"Agreed. Eternal vigilance," murmured one.
"With spirit communicators, soul networks, and the spread of Spirit Transmission technology, we now have full monitoring coverage across the continent. Any unusual disturbance will be reported instantly. The real concern lies elsewhere."
"Yes," said another. "The Xingluo Federation is secure enough—Shrek Academy's presence ensures they won't ally with the Holy Spirit Cult or the Abyss."
But no sooner had the Speaker said it than every other face around the table twitched awkwardly.
"What—what's wrong? Did I say something odd?" he asked cautiously.
Surrounded by Super and Limit Douluo, the poor Speaker—a mere Soul Sage—chose every word as if stepping on glass. The wrong tone could literally get him flattened.
Qian Gu Dongfeng cleared his throat. "According to our internal contacts from within the Xingluo Federation, the Sea God Pavilion recently erupted in chaos—a battle led by Pavilion Master Yun Ming himself against the Sea God Pavilion elders."
He paused. "To be precise—it was Yun Ming single-handedly overpowering them all. Had Long Yeyue not intervened in time, at least several would have been killed. Yun Ming has effectively alienated the entire Pavilion."
The Speaker gawked.
"What? Why?"
It didn't make sense.
Yun Ming—the strongest being on the continent, the Sea God Pavilion Master—fighting the Sea God Pavilion itself?
How did that even… work?
Was he sparring with himself?
Qian Gu Dongfeng's tone turned wry. "At that moment, I led the Spirit Transmission Tower's forces in attacking the Holy Spirit Cult's headquarters. The Federation's report confirms that the cult's deputy leader, Underworld King Halosa, was intercepted by Yun Ming."
"However, Halosa managed to summon twelve puppets—each as strong as a Super Douluo. But the Pavilion elders… let them go. Yun Ming was enraged beyond measure."
Even Qian Gu Dongfeng could not help feeling a pang of admiration.
Born in Shrek Academy—what a waste.
If he had joined the Spirit Transmission Tower instead, there would be no need for the title 'Holy Spirit Douluo' at all.
The Speaker blinked again in utter confusion.
Yun Ming—the continent's number one—yet powerless in his own Pavilion?
Meanwhile, he himself, a pill-fed Soul Sage, sat at the top of the Federation governing Limit Douluo, who all had to yield to his final vote.
Sometimes, yes, he felt out of place—but at least he had status.
It still sounded impressive on paper, didn't it?
"Ahem. Let us set aside the Shrek matter for now," the Speaker said. "We should focus on the Heaven Dou Continent. Since Xingluo has Shrek, the Holy Spirit Cult won't risk opening the Abyssal Gate there."
After all, opening the Abyssal Plane required both time and concealment. If located early, such activity would trigger the plane's own defensive rejection.
The last gate had appeared in the Extreme North, but now that region was home to many of the world's strongest ice-element soul masters—too dangerous to use again.
That left only the Heaven Dou Continent, where the Holy Spirit Cult still operated freely.
However, because of political tensions between nations, the Federation couldn't simply station troops or experts within foreign lands.
Unlike Shrek, the Federation had no "Monitoring Division."
"Then why not just conquer the entire Heaven Dou Continent?" someone proposed.
The idea met with murmurs of agreement—who wouldn't enjoy expanding territory?
Yet reason prevailed.
"That would be unwise. The Dou Spirit Empire and Heaven Soul Empire are weak, yes—but an invasive move would unite them against us, pushing them to the other side entirely."
"Then what should we do?"
The Speaker raised a hand. "What if we establish a new division of the Spirit Transmission Tower there?"
