Chapter 103: Tang Ya — Only Cultivation, Nothing Else...

"Right, Sister Nannan, has Xu Sanshi stopped bothering you lately?" Ye Chen asked curiously, as the thought suddenly came to him.

He had cursed Xu Sanshi twice before.

The first time, Xu Sanshi had diarrhea for seven days.

The second time, he suffered from pain in his lower parts for half a month.

After those two curses, Ye Chen hadn't bothered with him anymore.

Xu Sanshi was no threat to him, not even worth the seconds it took to cast another curse.

When Ye Chen used the Heaven and Earth Infinite Eye to scan earlier, he hadn't seen Xu Sanshi anywhere nearby. Who knew what that fool was up to now?

"Mhm, Xu Sanshi seems to have taken a temporary leave from school. Ever since you defeated him, he hasn't come near me again," Jiang Nannan replied with a cheerful grin, clearly in good spirits.

Without Xu Sanshi pestering her, her surroundings were peaceful again, she felt more relaxed, and even her cultivation speed had improved a little.

Tang Ya giggled and added, "I heard that idiot Xu Sanshi suddenly fell ill a while ago and went home. Haven't seen him for more than half a month now."

"That's good. Forget him. Let's enjoy our meal."

Ye Chen smiled and dropped the subject. He had just asked out of curiosity; if Xu Sanshi were still around, Ye Chen would have delivered another curse already.

Since the guy had run off, he wasn't worth the effort.

Ten minutes later.

The three entered a hotel, booked a private room, and ordered a table full of delicious food and wine. Laughter echoed between them as they clinked their glasses.

They chatted casually about recent happenings.

It was worth noting that Jiang Nannan's cultivation had reached level 42 thanks to Ye Chen's pills—an impressive leap that even drew the academy's attention.

Tang Ya, with Ye Chen's help, had also advanced to level 37. With a bit more training and a few more soul power boosting pills, she could easily reach level 40 soon.

"By the way, Ye Chen, just how strong are you now? I feel like the gap between us keeps growing," Jiang Nannan asked curiously after taking a sip of red wine.

The last time she'd seen Ye Chen's strength, he was only a Soul Sect, yet his combat power had already amazed and intimidated her.

Now, even though she herself had reached the Soul Sect level, she still felt a faint pressure from him—one that had grown stronger recently.

She had a wild guess in her mind, but even saying it felt unbelievable…

"That's right. I'm already a Soul King now. I just obtained my fifth soul ring today," Ye Chen said with a calm smile, confirming her suspicion.

"What!"

"Soul King!!"

"Ye Chen, you're too young—how is your cultivation progressing so fast?!"

Both Jiang Nannan and Tang Ya exclaimed in shock, staring at him like he was some kind of monster.

They thought their progress was already incredible with Ye Chen's pills. But Ye Chen's pace made theirs look like child's play.

"The last time I cultivated with you, you were only level 48!" Tang Ya blurted, eyes wide.

"Cultivated together?" Jiang Nannan caught on immediately, curiosity sparking in her eyes.

"Ah… well… that was…"

Tang Ya instantly realized she'd given something away and turned red, fumbling for words.

"That's just a secret technique from my family, a dual cultivation method that accelerates training. But it only works with two people. Sister Nannan, if you have time later, I'll let you experience it too~" Ye Chen explained with a sly grin.

He actually hadn't used the Resonance technique with Jiang Nannan yet, mainly because he'd been far too busy.

"I see~ Well, I'll look forward to it then," Jiang Nannan said, amused.

"We're all members of Tang Sect, so we should support each other and work together to restore our sect's glory. Cheers!" Ye Chen raised his glass with a smile.

The three exchanged toasts again, the mood warm and lively.

Sensing that Ye Chen and Tang Ya had something private to discuss, Jiang Nannan tactfully excused herself after the meal, leaving the two alone.

"Ye Chen, is there something you wanted to talk about?" Tang Ya asked as she sat beside him. Her cheeks were slightly flushed from the wine, though her mind remained clear enough to sense he had a reason for inviting her.

"Yes, Sister Xiaoya. My cultivation has reached the Soul King realm. I'm now able to fulfill the promise I made to you before." Ye Chen's expression turned solemn as he nodded.

"What… Ye Chen, you plan to take on the Iron-Blood Sect by yourself?"

Tang Ya froze in disbelief, her heart trembling.

She had assumed Ye Chen intended to rely on the power behind him to help her take revenge. Given his immense strength and even possessing a ten-thousand-year soul ring, she believed his background must be extraordinary.

If Ye Chen called upon that backing, wiping out the Iron-Blood Sect would be easy.

She never expected Ye Chen to handle it personally.

"Sister Xiaoya, don't tell me you don't believe in me?" Ye Chen raised an eyebrow in mock displeasure.

"No, no, it's not that…" Tang Ya shook her head repeatedly, worry in her eyes. "I just—worry about you. Even if you're as strong as a Soul Emperor, taking on the Iron-Blood Sect alone sounds dangerous…"

She knew Ye Chen's combat power exceeded his rank—Soul Kings could fight Soul Emperors, yes.

But the Iron-Blood Sect was an entire organization, based in Heaven Dou City and under its protection.

If Ye Chen couldn't finish quickly, he risked attracting the city's guards.

In her opinion, at least a Soul Saint-level expert would be needed to handle such a job safely.

"Don't worry, Sister Xiaoya. Since I gave my word, I'll see it through. I wouldn't say it if I weren't confident." Ye Chen smiled, brimming with assurance.

With his current strength, he could annihilate the Iron-Blood Sect within mere seconds.

His spiritual power now allowed him to teleport with another person, and paired with the Heaven and Earth Infinite Eye, both offense and retreat were within his control.

His safety was virtually guaranteed.

"Alright, I believe you. So… when do we depart?" Tang Ya asked softly after taking a deep breath.

Ye Chen had never let her down before—and likely never would.

This was her only chance, and she would trust him.

"There's no rush. Let's cultivate tonight. We can set out tomorrow," Ye Chen replied with an easy smile.

"Mm… fine, but—only cultivation, nothing else…" Tang Ya muttered under her breath, her face blushing crimson.

She knew her words were futile—Ye Chen probably wouldn't listen—but she had to say them anyway, as if to comfort herself.

"Mhm."

Ye Chen nodded obediently, though his gaze kept sweeping over her.

Though Tang Ya wore a school uniform, her charms were impossible to miss. She might not be as striking as Ma Xiaotao, but her youthful vitality and gentle beauty were captivating in their own right.
