Chapter 127: Taking Down Tang Ya
Tang Ya nodded slightly. Ye Chen, looking at her seriously after touring the last small room, asked, "Sister Xiao Ya, what do you think? Is this suitable to be Tang Sect's headquarters?"
"Mm, I'm quite satisfied~" she replied, though her expression still showed concern. "But isn't this manor a little too big? Should we look for a smaller one to save some money…"
"No need to worry. This manor isn't in the main district—it's on the outskirts. The price is high, but well within my budget," Ye Chen said with a reassuring smile.
"Alright then."
Hearing that, Tang Ya chose to trust Ye Chen and quietly made a note of this favor in her heart, deciding she would repay him in time…
However, for now, she had nothing left—nothing except herself that she could offer in return.
…
The two soon found the property owner, and Ye Chen made the payment directly.
The owner was visibly delighted that the deal closed so quickly, signing the deed transfer papers without hesitation.
As for taxes and other fees, Ye Chen's status as an inner-court student of Shrek Academy exempted him from all that—plus, it granted him certain privileges.
When the thin paper deed was solemnly handed into Tang Ya's hands, she felt her fingertips tremble slightly with warmth—this was truly Tang Sect's home in Shrek City!
Once everything was finalized, Ye Chen brought Tang Ya back to the manor.
The spacious courtyard was quiet except for the two of them, sunlight gently warming the pale blue flagstones.
Tang Ya was still immersed in the excitement of having a new home for Tang Sect, gripping the deed tightly, her face glowing with satisfaction.
Ye Chen stepped behind her, slipping his arm around her slender waist. Pointing to the pool in the distance, he said, "Sister Xiao Ya, you've been busy training. Why not relax a bit in the pool~"
His tone carried a playful warmth—and a hint of anticipation.
"Hmph, up to no good," Tang Ya said with a blush, letting out a soft hum.
"Ahem, what do you mean? It's just… since we've got a new home, we should, you know, test the water quality~" Ye Chen said quickly, pretending innocence, worried she might back away if he teased too directly.
"Fine, fine. But turn around… you're not allowed to look."
Tang Ya rolled her eyes but didn't refuse.
She knew Ye Chen's preferences. He had been so kind to her, and she wanted to make him happy—even if his mischief still made her shy.
"Mm-hmm~"
Ye Chen nodded eagerly, quickly undressing and jumping into the water.
Splash!
Water droplets flew everywhere as Ye Chen dove into the pool. The underground water was cool and refreshing, wrapping around his body pleasantly.
Tang Ya turned her back to the pool, aware that Ye Chen's eyes were probably fixed on her. Her fingers hesitated at her collar for a few seconds, before finally undoing the clasp of her light green training robe.
With a soft rustle, the fabric slipped down, revealing what lay beneath.
She wore a pure black lace bra, thin enough that the faint shade of her skin showed through, delicate straps resting loosely against her collarbone.
Below, she wore matching thin, lace-trimmed panties that hugged the curve of her hips.
Tang Ya usually preferred elegant, light-colored underwear, but since Ye Chen liked darker styles, she had made a little change—after all, only he would see it.
As she slightly turned, Ye Chen's gaze was instantly captivated. His eyes lingered on the curves outlined by the black lace—the fullness modest but beautiful, supple and round, with faint impressions left by the delicate straps.
Her waist was slender enough to encircle with one hand, smooth and firm, her skin flawless and luminous.
"You… you're not supposed to look," she murmured shyly, crossing her arms over her chest and crouching slightly.
But from Ye Chen's angle, the silhouette before him was breathtaking in its own right.
"Sister Xiao Ya, come on in," Ye Chen called out with a laugh, gesturing invitingly.
"O-okay…"
Tang Ya carefully dipped her foot into the water.
The chill of it wrapped around her ankle, making her shiver slightly.
It was cooler than she expected. Although she could swim, she had only ever been in warm springs before—this was her first time entering cold water.
"Come on, I'll hold you," Ye Chen said as he swam closer, stretching out a hand with a grin.
The pool floor sloped gently downward. The section where Ye Chen was standing was the deepest point, barely one and a half meters—not an issue for either of them.
"Mm."
Tang Ya nodded and slowly slid into the water.
Splash!
The cool water soaked her thin garments. Her lace top clung to her skin, outlining a soft, natural curve that rose and fell gently as she breathed.
The buoyant water lifted her slightly, and as she felt the depth around her, she instinctively wrapped her arms around Ye Chen's neck—her whole body practically resting against his.
"What's this? Are you afraid of water now?" Ye Chen teased with a grin.
"Hmph, of course not," Tang Ya pouted softly.
Ye Chen chuckled and guided her toward the shallow part of the pool, holding her gently by the waist until she stood steady.
Though the water was cool, Tang Ya's body felt burning-hot inside because Ye Chen's hands were wandering again.
"Hey… what are you doing? Weren't we just cooling off?" she whispered faintly.
"Sister Xiao Ya, you did promise last time~"
Ye Chen smiled as he gently pressed her to the edge of the pool, eyes twinkling with amusement.
"Hmph… I knew you were up to no good," Tang Ya murmured, turning her head shyly.
But this time—she didn't resist.
Last time had been an impulsive moment, but after thinking things through, she had come to understand her feelings.
And Ye Chen had gone so far, spending so much for the sake of Tang Sect and her dream.
Given his sincerity, continuing to act reserved would just be unfair…
"Sister Xiao Ya, you're the best~"
Ye Chen smiled, leaning down to kiss her soft cheek, and then…
…
…
…
Three days later.
Ye Chen returned to the academy.
Though those three days alone with Tang Ya had left him entirely satisfied, he wasn't someone who would drown in indulgence.
He activated his Heaven and Earth Infinite Eyes and found that Wang Dong still hadn't returned—clearly, the journey was long.
Ye Chen didn't rush. Instead, he decided to find Xiao Xiao for some training.
Xiao Xiao, a rare dual-spirit wielder, might have seemed slower in early cultivation compared to Wang Dong and the others, but once her second martial soul gained a few ten-thousand-year rings, her power could skyrocket—her potential was great.
Naturally, Ye Chen planned to test her abilities and help her train properly.
Of course, that wasn't the most important thing.
The new student assessment was coming up, and Ye Chen needed to raise Xiao Xiao's level quickly—otherwise, they'd be easily overwhelmed by the Nether White Tiger.
