Chapter 132 - Chapter 132: Sealing the Dreadclaw Bear and the Right Hand Soul Bone

Chapter 132: Sealing the Dreadclaw Bear and the Right Hand Soul Bone

The Darkgold Dreadclaw Bear, also known as the "Earth Splitter," was a soul beast with an extremely high bloodline rank.

When fully grown, its strength under equal cultivation years was said to be second only to that of the pureblood dragon species.

At this moment, the enormous bear crouched beside the riverbank, tearing into the carcass of a bull more than three meters long.

Despite its massive size, the bull's only visible wounds were bite marks—the rest of its body was intact. It had clearly been killed by a single slap.

The sounds of flesh being ripped apart and bones cracking echoed incessantly, sending chills down one's spine.

"What a terrifying aura… Ye Chen, we're not seriously going to fight that, are we…?" Xiao Xiao whispered nervously.

Even standing far away, the oppressive aura made her knees tremble.

She instantly recognized the creature—the legendary Earth Splitter, the Darkgold Dreadclaw Bear. Could Ye Chen really handle something like that?

"Judging by its size and aura, it's just under two thousand years old—perfect for you."

"I'll handle it. Stay back," Ye Chen said, excitement flickering in his tone.

It had been a long time since he'd gone all out in battle. This beast might make for an excellent sparring partner.

The moment his words ended, Ye Chen's aura turned sharp and freezing cold.

He didn't waste any words—his movements were direct, precise, and lethal.

Whoosh!

His body flashed forward, ghostlike, leaving only a misty afterimage of frost behind.

It was the perfected form of his Ghost Shadow Perplexing Step.

"ROAR!!!"

The Darkgold Dreadclaw Bear jerked up its massive head and let out a deafening roar.

Its crimson eyes locked onto the intruder rushing toward it, filled with fury and bloodlust.

Having its meal interrupted completely enraged the beast—wild soul beasts were all fiercely protective of food.

The giant bear rose up on its hind legs, towering over five meters tall, casting a massive shadow over Ye Chen.

Its right arm whipped through the air, slicing the wind with a shriek. Five talons—like blades forged from dark gold—slashed down upon Ye Chen with crushing might.

Crack!

The claws raked straight through Ye Chen's trailing shadow, dispersing it instantly.

If Ye Chen wanted a direct brawl, he'd need to transform.

Dragonization—a natural ability of dragon-type martial souls, stronger than the standard "Spirit Possession." It allowed one's body to take on draconic traits, drastically enhancing strength and defense.

The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon possessed such a gift, and Ye Chen's Ice Dragon King naturally had it too. But since it tended to shred his clothes, he rarely used it casually.

"Ice Dragon Claw!"

Ye Chen blinked out of sight, reappearing behind the bear. A frost-blue dragon's claw condensed around his hand, over three meters long, slashing downward with crushing power.

"BOOM!"

The strike slammed into the bear's back, tearing long, bloody gashes through its darkgold fur.

It looked brutal—but in truth, it was only superficial.

If this had been an ordinary Soul Emperor, Ye Chen's sneak attack would have instantly killed them.

Yet the bear suffered little more than surface wounds—its body was monstrously tough.

"ROAR!"

The beast bellowed again, turning and charging madly.

Ye Chen sidestepped effortlessly, raising his hand as icy mist poured from his palm—Ice Dragon's Breath!

A storm of freezing energy burst forth, coating everything within a hundred meters in solid frost.

The bear's body crystallized under the cold, shards of ice forming across its fur. Though it quickly shattered them off, its movements became sluggish.

If Ye Chen used his fifth soul skill, he could easily crush and finish it off on the spot.

But instead, he chose to test his new ability—Seal of God.

Ye Chen expended one percent of his soul power, forming a shimmering golden imprint and sending it straight into the bear's chest.

Instantly, its movements slowed dramatically.

"Not bad… but its body is really tough," Ye Chen muttered. The seal faded fast—the beast's resilience was dissolving the power at an alarming rate. Within thirty seconds, it would vanish completely.

Of course, this was because the sealing process wasn't yet complete.

If he reinforced it and fully sealed its physical form, the breakdown rate would plummet.

Thinking quickly, Ye Chen consumed ten percent of his soul power, forging a stronger seal and launching it.

"ROAR!"

Sensing danger, the bear tried to dodge instinctively.

But the Seal of God had two absolute attributes—"Lock-On" and "Cannot Miss."

The golden sigil struck home effortlessly, merging into the creature's flesh.

Now, with both seals fused, layers of glowing chains formed within its body, binding its muscles, meridians, and limbs.

The bear's roar turned into a strangled howl, eyes flashing with shock and fear.

Its colossal frame stiffened; its limbs felt as though wrapped in countless heavy chains. It couldn't move without tremendous effort.

"Damn, impressive…"

Ye Chen was both awed by the bear's monstrous endurance and amazed by the Seal of God's sheer potency.

For just eleven percent of his soul power, he had nearly paralyzed the beast outright.

Although not fully sealed, its movement speed had dropped by 99%—it was practically immobilized.

Yet the Dreadclaw Bear's body was formidable. Without a complete seal, it was gradually eroding the restraints.

In less than ten minutes, it would fully break free.

Ye Chen gathered five percent more soul power and launched another Seal of God.

With the layered seals merging, the sealing force exploded outward, locking its body completely.

BOOM!

The enormous bear slammed helplessly to the ground—its five-meter frame embedding into the dirt with a heavy crash.

Its still-open eyes flickered with disbelief and fury, yet its body remained utterly immobile.

"Xiao Xiao, come. Finish it."

Ye Chen exhaled, waving her over calmly.

Now that the seal was complete, the weakening effect would proceed tens of millions of times slower.

Even at this rate, the creature would need several decades to break free physically.

"Ah… it's over already?"

Xiao Xiao ran up on short legs, stunned.

She'd barely started retreating before Ye Chen had finished everything.

"What? That huge bear was this weak?" she murmured in disbelief, eyes wide as she took in the sight of the immobilized, half-buried beast.
