Chapter 255: Taking Xiao Xiao (Part 2)
Half an hour later.
Xiao Xiao lay limply across Ye Chen's chest, her breathing soft and even.
She was clearly exhausted.
Ye Chen had been gentle with her—too gentle even—afraid she might break if he wasn't careful.
She looked so delicate, so pitiful, that he couldn't bring himself to push her too far.
That was why it had ended so quickly.
Though Xiao Xiao's constitution wasn't weak, her small, tender frame was fragile in its own way.
But Ye Chen didn't need her to be strong in that regard.
He already had Ma Xiaotao, Xian Lin'er, Ling Luochen, and Zhang Lexuan—each with far more physical endurance, easily satisfying him.
With Xiao Xiao, he only wanted her to be happy.
Morning came.
"Mm…"
Xiao Xiao gave a soft sound as she slowly woke in Ye Chen's arms.
The moment memories of last night flashed through her mind, her cheeks flushed crimson. She instinctively shrank back into the blanket, unable to meet his gaze.
"What's wrong? Are you feeling okay?"
Ye Chen had been awake for a while, quietly watching her until she stirred. Seeing her wake, he immediately asked with concern.
"No…"
She shook her head quickly, her voice barely audible.
Turning slightly, she noted that there wasn't really any pain—only a faint sense of strangeness.
A bath would make it go away.
"That's good."
Ye Chen chuckled softly and wrapped an arm around her small waist, pulling her closer. Her delicate scent—a mix of warm sweetness and the faint fragrance of her skin—lingered from the night before, clinging to the sheets and to him.
"Why are you hiding under the blanket now? You weren't so shy last night."
"Don't say that!"
Xiao Xiao shot up, face as red as a ripe peach, puffing out her cheeks as she tried to cover Ye Chen's mouth with her tiny hands.
Ye Chen caught her wrist easily and pressed a kiss to it.
"What's there to be shy about? It's not like it's the first time we've slept together."
"T-that's different!"
Her face deepened into scarlet. Memories of the previous night flooded her mind—especially the strange, melting sensations at the end, and his whispering words of comfort. She quickly shook her head, trying to drive the images away, burying her face in her hands.
Ye Chen tightened his arm around her, not letting her escape.
"How is it different, hmm? Is it here… or maybe here?"
He grinned mischievously, his hand sliding down her smooth back beneath the blanket, resting on the soft curve of her hips.
"Ah!"
She flinched like a startled rabbit, her body tensing. Through the thin silk nightdress, he could feel every tremor, every shiver of warmth.
"Bad guy… d-don't squeeze…" she murmured, half protesting, half melting against his heat.
Ye Chen found her shy, dependent expression amusing, but decided not to tease her further.
"Good."
He kissed the top of her head, resting his chin gently there. "Come on, it's already bright out."
"Just… five more minutes…"
Xiao Xiao's voice turned soft and spoiled, still basking in the warmth of his embrace and the tenderness that lingered between them.
Her entire body felt languid, unwilling to move.
Ye Chen's heart softened further at her lazy, clingy demeanor.
"Fine. Just a little longer."
He adjusted his position so she could curl comfortably in his arms.
Warm skin, soft scent—morning after sweetness like that could stir any man's thoughts.
His hand idly traced slow circles along her lower back, sliding over the silk fabric to the inside of her thigh.
The quiet room was filled only with the faint sound of their breathing.
Sunlight streamed through the window lattice, scattering into fine golden patterns across the floor.
After a while, Ye Chen patted her lightly. "Alright, time to get up, sleepyhead. Wang Dong's probably awake already. If she finds out you snuck into my room last night, she'll definitely sulk."
Because of Tang San's remnant spirit residing within Wang Dong, Ye Chen still couldn't touch her.
And back then, Wang Dong herself had no idea Tang San's divine consciousness lingered in her—her childhood memories were sealed, some even rewritten.
If she tried to get close to Ye Chen and he refused, it could cause complications in their relationship.
So for now, what had happened with Xiao Xiao would have to stay secret.
But not for long—Ye Chen's progress was rapid. Within a year, he was confident he could remove Tang San's trace entirely.
After that, he would be free to act as he pleased.
At the mention of Wang Dong, Xiao Xiao immediately snapped awake.
She scrambled up nervously. "Right, right! Wang Dong can't find out!"
It was their little secret—her promise to Ye Chen.
As she sat up, the blanket slid down, revealing her slender body clad only in a camisole nightdress.
The silky fabric clung softly to her skin, shaping the gentle curves of her budding chest.
The hem barely reached mid-thigh, leaving her smooth, pale legs completely exposed.
Ye Chen couldn't help but smile at the sight.
"D-don't look!"
She covered her chest, cheeks burning as she shot him a mortified glance.
"You didn't mind me looking all night, but now you're shy?"
Ye Chen laughed, standing up and reaching for his clothes. While pulling on his shirt, he said, "Go wash up, quick. Don't linger, or Wang Dong might come knocking."
With his strong spiritual sense, Ye Chen could tell Wang Dong was still asleep, likely due to last night's wine. She hadn't noticed Xiao Xiao's absence.
"Mm-hmm!"
Xiao Xiao nodded repeatedly, wrapping the blanket around herself before slipping her bare feet onto the cool floor. On tiptoe, she darted toward the door.
Before leaving, she paused, glancing shyly over her shoulder. "I… I'll come see you again tonight…"
Without waiting for his reply, she hurried out, light as a cat, and quietly closed the door behind her.
Click.
Ye Chen chuckled, watching her stealthy retreat.
She was embarrassed—but clearly loved it.
Walking to the window, Ye Chen pushed it open wide.
He breathed in deeply, letting the cool morning air fill his lungs.
Yes, it was a fine day.
Another beautiful morning.
