Chapter 265 - Chapter 265: Huo Yuhao Arrives, Searching for the Hundred-Thousand-Year Snow Lotus

Chapter 265: Huo Yuhao Arrives, Searching for the Hundred-Thousand-Year Snow Lotus

Outside in the icy wilderness, Ye Chen showed no hurry to leave.

He continued his exploration across the Extreme North, searching for the legendary hundred-thousand-year Snow Lotus.

This lotus's effects rivaled those of immortal herbs—and as an ice-attribute treasure, Ye Chen had no intention of letting it slip by.

After breaking through to Soul Sage, Ye Chen's power had increased dramatically.

When he unleashed his Martial Soul True Body—even before factoring in the soul skills that came with the Snow Empress spirit—the Ice Dragon King's True Body alone granted him a terrifying two-thousand-percent boost in strength.

At his current level, an ordinary Title Douluo was no longer his match.

For a soul master of the Ultimate Ice at the Soul Sage realm, he could already rival Title Douluo.

But Ye Chen, a Soul Sage with two ultimate spirits and top-tier heritage, could outright crush them.

When unleashing his full power, even Super Douluo might falter before him.

After all, his soul rings included a four-hundred-thousand-year Ice Empress and a seven-hundred-thousand-year Snow Empress—without yet condensing his soul core.

Once he did, his soul power would become nearly boundless, potentially elevating him to the level of a true Super Douluo.

Of course, his skills drained enormous energy due to their excessive ages. Even with such pure power, endurance remained an issue.

Condensing the core would fix that—boosting his stamina and combat potential to their peak.

After all, between the Ice Empress and Snow Empress, Ye Chen's martial soul far surpassed any ordinary "ultimate" lineage.

Meanwhile, across the frozen lands, after days of trudging through blizzards, a weary Huo Yuhao finally arrived at the Extreme North.

"Tianmeng… it's so cold…" he muttered, shivering even through layers of thick clothing.

"Take off those rags. Use my shed skin instead," the Tianmeng Ice Silkworm ordered, tossing out a transparent fragment of his old shell.

"Uh? You mean take everything off?"

Huo Yuhao blinked dumbly.

"Do it quickly! My shell is a treasure. Otherwise, how could a mere level-twenty weakling like you survive this cold?"

Tianmeng's tone left no room for argument.

"Alright, alright…"

Huo Yuhao eyed the fragile-looking husk suspiciously, but he trusted his partner enough to obey. Stripping off the padded clothes, he slipped inside the silken shell.

Much to his astonishment, the thin layer of silk blocked all the wind entirely. It was warm—almost cozy—and barely a trace of cold leaked in.

"This is amazing! It's not cold at all!"

He marveled in relief.

"Good. Now move. The Snow Empress isn't exactly someone you can charm easily…" Tianmeng grumbled.

Against the Ice Empress, it had been confident. But facing the Snow Empress… that was an entirely different story.

She might not kill them outright—but convincing her seemed nearly impossible.

At worst, Tianmeng could warn her about the Ice Empress and direct her fury toward Ye Chen instead…

Still, the thought of his beloved Ice Empress living with a human boy made his thoughts boil.

He could barely sleep at night, imagining her affectionately entangled with that little human. If only he could, he'd squash Ye Chen flat and snatch her back!

Sadly, he was now just a remnant soul, and Huo Yuhao—barely level twenty—was weaker than an ant.

So this was their last gamble. If the Snow Empress agreed to help, it could change everything.

If not… well, they'd have to pray she didn't go after them instead.

Night fell.

On a vast ice field beneath a bleak sky, a small campfire flickered to life.

A layer of spiritual energy sealed off the blistering gale around it, letting no cold invade.

Above the fire, soul beast meat sizzled and dripped oil, releasing a rich aroma that filled the frozen air.

The Ice Empress lounged lazily in Ye Chen's lap, her face reddening as his wandering hands grew bolder, though she clearly enjoyed the warmth.

The Snow Empress, meanwhile, sat stiffly on an icy bench she'd sculpted herself, arms crossed, one leg elegantly crossed over the other, glaring at them both with open displeasure.

Though she had reluctantly accepted her new reality, the sight before her made her eye twitch.

When Ye Chen's mischief got even worse, she could no longer endure it.

"Ice Empress! You are one of the three sovereigns of the Extreme North! Have you no dignity!?"

"Ah—"

The Ice Empress quickly slapped Ye Chen's hand away, whispering shyly, "Stop it~ Snow Empress is right there watching…"

"What's the problem? We're all family here," Ye Chen murmured, resting his chin on her shoulder and grazing her ear with a soft kiss.

Then continued anyway.

The Ice Empress: …

The Snow Empress: …

"Unbelievable!"

The Snow Empress snapped, furious, and vanished back into Ye Chen's spiritual sea—a streak of bright light escaping the obscene sight.

Apparently, she had officially checked out.

It was hard to blame her. Watching her closest friend cozy up with her sworn enemy was soul-crushing enough. Seeing them flaunt it in her face was just… too much.

"Oh no—she's really angry now! Ye Chen, this is your fault!"

The Ice Empress looked flustered, wringing her hands.

"What's she going to do—spank you?" Ye Chen replied with a shrug, unconcerned.

He tore a piece of roasted meat from the spit, skewered it with an icicle, and handed it to her.

The Ice Empress was, after all, a hunter by nature—a top-tier predator of the North. Eating lower-grade beasts didn't bother her in the slightest.

"Mm~ delicious~" she hummed, sinking her teeth in.

After a day of trying (and failing) to placate the Snow Empress, she was exhausted—mentally and physically.

Of course, her spirit form didn't need sustenance, but for her, food was a joy too great to resist.

Within moments, the worries about her icy friend began to melt away.

"By the way, Ye Chen," she said between bites, "are you sure there's really a hundred-thousand-year Snow Lotus here? I've lived in the Extreme North for ages and never heard of it."

"Of course it's real," Ye Chen replied casually. "It's basically an immortal herb—ice-type, incredibly rare. It'd be extremely useful to me."

"But treasures like that only appear to those fated to find them. We'll search a few more days. If we still come up empty, we leave it at that."

In truth, Ye Chen was waiting—for Huo Yuhao.

He'd searched long enough to grow impatient. The boy would arrive soon, and with him came luck. A Child of Destiny never lacked opportunities.

If the Snow Lotus still existed, it might just appear for him.

Time meant little to Ye Chen; he had more than enough to spare.

And with the Ice Empress for company, even waiting in the frozen wasteland felt like a pleasant vacation.

Leaning closer, Ye Chen bit playfully at the Ice Empress's cheek.

"Ah—what are you doing," she whispered, blushing fiercely. "What if the Snow Empress comes back out…"

Ye Chen chuckled. "Don't worry. She can't emerge without my permission."

His grin widened devilishly. "Besides, we've never tested how warm an ice plain can get."

"B-bad man…"

The Ice Empress flushed deeper but eventually nodded shyly after glancing around.

No soul beasts nearby, no interruptions—perhaps this time, she wouldn't mind trying either.
