Chapter 94: 111. Tang Hao Shakes the Continent
Under Tang Lie's relentless pressure, Tang Xiao had no grounds to refute. At last, with unanimous support, the Clear Sky Sect's position of sect master fell upon Elder Tang Kai.
Of course, Tang Kai served only as acting sect master. Within the sect, others still had the qualifications to contest the title—only, they were not present at this time.
Upon assuming leadership, Tang Kai immediately convened the elders' council—though at this point, there were virtually no elder-level Titled Douluo left. In that session, a resolution was passed: to list out Tang Hao's countless crimes and formally expel him from the Clear Sky Sect—his name struck completely from the ancestral records.
Days later, Clear Sky disciples entered Sky Valley Ridge to collect the remains of their fallen. There, they encountered Spirit Hall operatives doing the same for their elders' corpses—and only then realized the full scope of the catastrophe. Tang Hao had not only slaughtered his own sect members but had also killed the elders of Spirit Hall.
At the Clear Sky Sect's Elder Council, a heavy, suffocating pressure blanketed the hall. In the days when the former sect master Tang Chen still walked among them, they had feared no one—not even Spirit Hall. But now, with Tang Chen long gone and Tang Hao's betrayal devastating their strength, the sect was fragile, utterly unprepared to face reprisal.
If Spirit Hall truly sought vengeance, they had no way to resist.
"That beast! He's lost all fear! He even killed Spirit Hall's elders and gravely wounded their Pope!" roared Elder Tang Xukun.
"The immediate concern," said Tang Kai, frowning deeply, "is how to handle Spirit Hall's inevitable response. If they come seeking retribution, what should we do?"
Tang Lie spoke up, "Sect Master, although their elders died by Tang Hao's hand, our losses are far greater. We share a blood feud with Tang Hao—surely Spirit Hall can't hold that against us."
"And remember—we've already expelled him and erased his name from our records. Tang Hao's crimes are his alone and have nothing to do with the Clear Sky Sect."
His reminder eased the tension. Yes—Tang Hao no longer belonged to their sect. Spirit Hall would have no reason to implicate them.
But news of the Sky Valley Ridge massacre could not remain hidden.
Before long, every power on Douluo Continent had heard—rumors spreading like wildfire.
At first, no one believed it. How could it be possible? Tang Hao, an eight-ring Soul Douluo, accomplishing such things? Impossible!
Yet the rumor solidified. The Clear Sky Sect confirmed Tang Hao's expulsion and began funeral preparations for their fallen sect master and elders. Spirit Hall, too, held burial rites for their dead—and even publicly corroborated the story. They added one more explosive revelation: that Tang Hao, beloved heir of the Clear Sky Sect, had coupled with a soul beast and fathered a beastman child.
Within days, Tang Hao's name became known across the continent, whispered in awe and horror alike.
Some marveled at his terrifying might.
Most, however, reviled him as a moral abomination, a lunatic who defied all decency and tore apart the sanctity of kinship. Every act he committed trampled the moral foundation of the soul master world.
Thus Tang Hao became world-famous—revered and reviled at once, shaking the continent for two reasons.
First, his unmatched strength. A mere Soul Douluo, not even Titled, who killed five Clear Sky Sect Titled Douluo, dozens of Soul Douluo and Soul Saints, crippled Tang Xiao—then slew two of Spirit Hall's guardian Douluo and gravely wounded the Pope himself. No one in history below Titled rank had ever achieved such power.
Second, his utter depravity. A Clear Sky heir, once a symbol of virtue, now infamous for bedding a soul beast and siring a beastman. For that abomination, he slaughtered his own kin—hammering his father to death, crippling his brother twice, and later destroying multiple Spirit Hall outposts, killing hundreds of innocents. His legacy surpassed sin; it defied heaven itself.
At the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect—
Yu Luomian's jaw nearly dropped. "I must be dreaming. Are we certain this news is true? Tang Hao—a Soul Douluo—how? At Sky Valley Ridge, between Spirit Hall and the Clear Sky Sect, seven Titled Douluo fell by his hands! That's not even counting the dozens of Soul Douluo and Soul Saints. I know the Clear Sky secret arts are strong, but this… this breaks reason!"
Yu Luohuang replied, "The sources are solid. Both the Clear Sky Sect and Spirit Hall confirmed it."
"Tsk, unbelievable," murmured Yu Luoguan in disbelief. "No Soul Douluo in history could rival such a record."
"Even among Super Douluo, how many could do what he did?" Yu Luotang said mockingly. "Still, for all his power, there's never been a soul master so utterly degenerate. He fell in love with a soul beast, killed his own sect members, and even hammered his father to death. Beastly doesn't even begin to describe it."
Yu Luoguan added, "I heard that soul beast later sacrificed itself to Tang Xiao. Then the Clear Sky twins fought, and Tang Xiao was crippled. Meaning—Tang Hao single-handedly destroyed six of their Titled Douluo."
"Six Titled Douluo!" Yu Yuanzhen, patriarch of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect, chuckled bitterly. "Truly fitting for the so-called strongest sect under heaven."
Yu Luomian's eyes gleamed. "Losing six Titled Douluo—this must have gutted their strength."
"This is all that beast Tang Hao's doing," Yu Yuanzhen said, his tone tinged with mockery. "At the Tri-Sect Conference, Tang Tian flaunted his two brilliant sons repeatedly. Tang Hao and Tang Xiao—both extraordinary, indeed. I envied their genius, but now? My own son Yu Xiaomen, after his martial soul evolved into the Golden Holy Dragon, has already surpassed them in worth. When I think about Tang Tian's fate… perhaps he'd have been better off leaving his seed on the wall."
Yu Luomian laughed heartily. "Patriarch, with the Clear Sky Sect crippled and six Titled Douluo gone, our Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan may finally claim the title of number one."
"Indeed," Yu Yuanzhen said, stroking his beard proudly. "My son, blessed with the potential of an ultimate being, will bring glory upon our clan for centuries! And, unlike Tang Tian's disgraceful sons, mine will never shame me."
(After Yu Xiaomen's martial soul evolution, Yu Yuanzhen had long chosen to forget about Yu Xiaogang entirely.)
