4. Scroll of Chain Lightning ×2 (Baldur's Gate)
A Level 6 spell, huh.
If I remembered correctly, YGGDRASIL had a Tier 7 spell called Chain Dragon Lightning.
What caught my attention wasn't the spell itself, but the world name.
Baldur's Gate.
Not D&D.
They were connected… or at least they were supposed to be. Still, blindly trusting meta-knowledge was dangerous. There was always the possibility that this wasn't the Baldur's Gate I know, just a world with a similar setting and name.
Then another thought struck me.
How did the system even know these "world names"?
Was this all created by some nerd who suddenly became ROB?
…No. That sounded stupid.
More likely, the system was reading my memories and assigning labels that I could understand.
Yeah. That explanation made far more sense.
5. Assimilation Slot ×1
"…Finally."
I'd always wondered whether the gacha could grant upgrades related to the system itself.
Now I had my answer.
With this, I could assimilate three templates simultaneously.
My options just widened considerably.
6. Companion Travel Ticket x5
Reading the description I understood it has only one function of letting me take some one with me to other world when using the world travel ticket.
While it's a good thing but the problem was it's a consumable items only for one time use.
Means after taking someone from here to Cid world one card will vanish and had to use another companion ticket to bring them back.
I can use this card to recurit someone from other world.
7. Kyouko Mejiro (Call of the Night)
I stared at the name for a moment.
"…I would've preferred a vampire."
She didn't possess any supernatural abilities, and the fact that she didn't turn into a vampire even after being bitten suggested some kind of natural resistance. Maybe something like evolutionary immunity similar to how certain species developed poison resistance over generations.
Aside from that, she had solid detective skills.
Still… that didn't make her useless.
In fact, it made her perfect.
She was ideal as a summon, not a template.
More importantly, she was weak enough.
Which made her a perfect test subject.
Would summoned individuals be loyal by default? Could they betray me? Would they attempt to escape or even kill me?
All of those questions needed answers.
And she was safe enough to test them.
Besides, if I think about it, any summon I gained would inevitably fall behind me in strength.
Strong templates would be assimilated without hesitation.
If, for example, I pulled Wonder Woman instead of her…
…I'd apologise to every man of culture in Omniverse and then assimilate her anyway.
Whether they forgave me or not was their problem.
I'd still do it.
8. Saeko Busujima (Highschool of the Dead)
"CALM DOWN"
I took a deep breath and controlled my emotions, stopping myself from summoning her instantly.
Rudeus. Rudeus. Rudeus.
It's definitely you not my inner teenage horniness running wild just now.
Hmm…
Getting her card right after Kyouko made me realise something important.
If I keep getting only non-supernatural people as subordinates, how exactly am I supposed to compete with Ainz's NPCs?
I'll need to think of ways to make them stronger superhuman actually. Otherwise, it would honestly be a waste to summon them at all if they can't be made useful.
Should I capture a werewolf or a vampire and let them bite them? That would give them not only make their base stats far superior to those of ordinary humans but May give them access to mana too.
…Not a bad idea, now that I think about it.
9. Anime Travel Ticket (Low Tier / One Month)
"…Low tier?"
So DBZ, Tensura, DxD and other top-tier worlds are out.
It would probably allow travel to rom-com type worlds. Even if the world is supernatural, its overall power level wouldn't be very high.
Places where I could learn something would be ideal. Naruto or One Piece come to mind, since my body would adapt to the laws of those worlds but those are at least mid-tier.
I also can't bring any living beings back unless I unlock some kind of gacha setting or ....
Wait a minute, didn't I just got the companion card.
Also this card isn't a sync and I will be staying in that world the whole month before I would be forced back here.
Good for increasing Assimilation progress.
I'll need to think carefully before deciding to use this ticket.
10. Ninya (Overlord)
Another pull from Overlord… and once again, not a Nazarick member.
Please, just give me someone from Ainz Ooal Gown already. Even an NPC would work.
It's not like I have any discrimination against heteromorphic races. In fact, I'm a huge fan of them especially slimes and skeletons.
Sigh.
From what I remember, Ninya had a Talent that allowed her to learn magic faster than normal. She was already capable of casting Tier 2 spells at a young age.
In this world, she should still be a child, living together with her sister.
A possible recruit candidate… along with that potion master.
"PRINCE ZANAC!"
"PRINCE ZANAC!"
"ARE YOU INSIDE"
The shouts echoed through the corridor.
I frowned.
What the hell? Even if king had summoned me, the guards wouldn't be this frantic.
I swung my legs off the bed and walk. "What happened?" I demanded opening my door while noticing the number of guards are much more than regular routine.
Did someone attacked the palace?
One guard with face pale utter, "P-P-Princess Rosalind… she is dead."
Dead?
Did I hear that correctly?
Princess Rosalind, my elder step sister, the second princess of the Re-Estize Kingdom was dead.
I exhaled slowly.
"Oh boy," I muttered,"It's going to be a long night."
