Chapter 92 - Festival begins

Everything had changed overnight; suddenly one of the most talented people from the new generation had been exposed as one of the most scheming criminals out there to exist.

The preparations were in place in just one night before he could be aware of any signs, but that too had a cost; Vice General Sun Stealer was not happy with the operation that had gotten underway. He had a history of hunting these kinds of demons, and they always ended in bloodshed.

Looking at the man sitting next to the window on a small chair, his body wanted to enter his defense state, but it was not a place to show weakness.

Blue eyes penetrated his soul, with a killing intent that was unmatched by someone on his level. "Calm down, there are seven level 7s in the town; there is no way this could get out of hand..." His inner thoughts were a mess, but he continued like he didn't care about the other person with long steps.

Soon he stood next to his target; the weight of those eyes staring at him could crush any normal human; however, his reflection in the window washed away all of his uneasiness.

With short dark hair and a pair of brown eyes, nothing about him stood out, yet for himself, his uniform reminded him once more of the goal of his actions: making the world a better place.

Each hundreds of years some genius rose above the criminals, with something in common between all of them; each brought a catastrophe to too many innocent people. The vice general cleared his throat for the last time and made up his mind to be ready for whatever happens.

"My orders are to take you alive; the number of pieces doesn't matter." Golden light surrounded his body as he took his hand behind his back, ready to summon his weapon, "Your choice."

"How many people will die, do you think?"

"None." The vice general said with a firm voice, "You have no hope of escaping."

Ray closed his eyes, leaving his body completely vulnerable; his voice was devoid of any emotion as he started to answer, "It's fascinating, these people woke up this morning like any other day without knowing it would be their last day in life. If they were aware of the future, what would have changed in their behavior? How many would you think would have killed themselves before the time came?"

"You disgust me. How are you going to behave when this is your last day?"

A faint smile Curled into his lips, "Try to survive another day no matter the cost."

Ray's eyes trailed the movement of his hand with a yellow light glowing from the small knife in his hand, but it was already too late.

"You can do whatever you want." He didn't need to speak the sentence; just thinking it was enough as he dismissed all the defenses he had put in his mind over the years.

Vice General could feel something was wrong, but it was too late to back off; his goal changed from blinding him to cutting off his throat in a single swift move.

The sound of bones breaking one by one filled the room as a big impact came out from Ray's body, destroying anything on its path.

His skin was torn apart on half of his body, with growing plants penetrating his skin and bones to come out. Ray gritted his teeth from the immense pain, yet he didn't move a single inch, watching as plants started to turn into flowers.

"This magic ... It does not have a type. It's simply just magic..." Soon six sunflowers surrounded his body, each growing from one of his major organs.

"You can't get reincarnated in here, so just go on with your plan."

One by one the golden petals transformed into golden eyes hanging from a small line. Ray couldn't understand their movement, as such, or how such a thing was possible at all; more and more questions were shaped in his body. Too focused on what was happening, he finally looked around only to see a wooden shell covering all the area around him.

"What a shit show." Taking the last time he had in peace before the storm began, Ray started to organize his thoughts: "The first priority should be reaching level 5; it's the only way remaining. It's too messy. All those preparations were for nothing... The military definitely had taken over all of his wealth and belongings, with Katarina stealing the rest; the only thing that Ray had was himself. "Even if I survive this, the future should be interesting..."

After a few minutes, the flowers started to return into his body, with more pain to swallow. Ray wondered what the hell it did; its magic aura was more pure than even devils and angels, but as expected, he couldn't understand anything about its flow.

Before he could stand up, the answer revealed itself to him:

Planet Earth and planet Pohn have entered the festival.

Soon the rules of the festivals will be announced.

Number of participants from Earth: 12459

Number of participants from Earth: 875793

"So that's the planet you want to reincarnate in..." Ray stood up as he could sense the field that prevented teleportation had been destroyed. Turning into blood drops, his body moved out of the small city in an instant.

"I can't exit from a certain border, but the adventures should remain for the future; now more important stuff."

The city was in chaos; the area around him was fully destroyed for a few kilometers, and others were rushing there to help any injured person.

"That vice general is still alive; he's going to be a big burden, and I have no idea about the rest of them and their abilities." The sound of all the people screaming reached his ears even from a long distance. With a bored tone, he whispered to himself, "Tomorrow, this place will be more quiet..."

The light in his eyes shined with killing intent.
