Chapter 503 - Chapter 503: Visitors from Guiltina

Precht and Warrod would never sit back and watch Fairy Tail's members march off to their deaths.

Besides, Fairy Tail's relationship with the Magic Council was quite good now.

Org and Belno were also firmly on the pro–Fairy Tail side.

Since Jellal had contacted them, that meant those people should also know about this and had agreed to it.

"That's true." Makarov quickly nodded.

He had only been a little too worried just now.

Raizel, Ultear, and the others packed their luggage and arrived at the teleportation circle.

A huge lacrima served as its energy source.

The red Magic Circle beneath their feet flashed, and Raizel's group turned into red light.

Before long, the group arrived at the newly built Magic Council headquarters and reached the meeting room without any obstruction.

When Jellal saw the luxurious lineup behind Raizel, the corner of his mouth twitched.

Ultear, Erza, Mira, and Kagura...

Just thinking about it made him suck in a cold breath.

Terrifying indeed.

Raizel's gaze fell on the left side of the meeting room.

A bald man with a full beard and a vicious scar across his face sat there.

This was Karulum, captain of the assault force of Guiltina's Magic Council, MNP.

When he saw Raizel's group arrive, he stood up, laughed loudly, and walked over with his hand outstretched.

Raizel thought Karulum wanted to shake hands, so he also reached out.

Unexpectedly, Karulum grabbed his hand and pulled him straight into a shoulder bump.

Good grief.

This guy was way too friendly!

The reason Karulum was so enthusiastic was because Jellal and the others had already explained Raizel's strength to him, and shown him various battle recordings.

Especially after hearing that Raizel had fought the Black Dragon Acnologia, Karulum felt that coming here had absolutely been the right choice.

Raizel's group sat on the right side, facing Karulum.

Karulum did not immediately get to the main topic.

Instead, he first introduced Guiltina to them.

The continent was remote, its people were fierce, and its transportation was nowhere near as developed as Ishgar's.

"Our land is in a state of war all year round..." Karulum sighed, then changed the direction of the topic.

"But it is not a war between humans."

"What is it, then? Humans and monsters?" Lucy could not help asking curiously.

"A war between humans and dragons."

"Dragons?!!!"

Lucy nearly jumped out of her chair in fright.

"Calm down, Lucy." Erza reached out and pressed a hand on Lucy's shoulder.

After calming down a little, Lucy raised one finger and asked, "But aside from Acnologia, weren't all the dragons killed by him?"

Karulum shook his head.

"That statement is not wrong, but it is not entirely correct either."

"During the Dragon King Festival four hundred years ago, Acnologia killed all the dragons across the eastern and western continents. However, some dragons fled north out of fear. That place was Guiltina."

"For some reason, perhaps because Acnologia did not know they were hiding in the north, he never went there."

"Four hundred years have passed, and now the continent has formed a power structure led by the Five Dragon Gods."

"The strength, speed, and defenses of giant dragons are terrifying. Add their various Magic on top of that, and they are not something ordinary Mages can withstand. Because of this, Guiltina's Magic Council and Magic Guilds have paid a painful price."

"We have tried negotiating before, but the dragons refuse to communicate with humans at all. They rampage through Guiltina, destroying and slaughtering, and almost no one can oppose them."

Raizel tapped the table once, interrupting him.

"Can you tell us which ones you tried negotiating with?"

This question was important.

At the very least, they needed to stay alert around those dragons.

"We sent people to negotiate with the Fire Dragon God and the Wood Dragon God. There were also several other powerful dragons. The result was... none of them survived."

"Of course, most of those dragons are already dead now."

'Fire Dragon God. Wood Dragon God...'

Ultear and the others silently remembered those names.

Hearing that some dragons had died, Ultear raised an eyebrow and asked, "You said almost no one can oppose them. In other words, there are some who can, right? Also, how did those dragons die? Infighting, or something else?"

"Some died from infighting. Some died at the hands of Dragon Slayers."

'Dragon Slayers...'

Erza, Mira, and Kagura exchanged glances.

Anyone capable of slaying a dragon, even if it was not one of the Five Dragon Gods, could not be underestimated.

"The number-one guild in Guiltina is a Magic Guild called Diabolos. Every member of that guild is a Dragon Slayer. Their purpose is specifically to hunt dragons."

"All of them are Dragon Slayers?!!!"

Even Erza, Mira, and the others found it hard not to be shocked.

Karulum nodded firmly.

"That's right. The members of Diabolos are Fifth Generation Dragon Slayers."

"Fifth Generation?!!"

Another confusing term appeared.

The women and Raizel looked at one another, especially Wendy, whose brain practically froze.

Seeing that even Raizel looked confused, they could only turn their eyes back to Karulum.

They had only recently heard about the Third Generation from Sting and Rogue, and now it had already evolved into the Fifth Generation?

Wasn't this iteration speed a little too fast?

Raizel was a little baffled.

He truly did not know what the Fifth Generation was.

So Ultear asked, "We know about the First, Second, and Third Generations. What is the Fifth Generation?"

"The Fourth Generation are humanoid weapons created from the tears of Dragon Slayers. They can only be described as weapons that use Dragon Slayer Magic."

"What matters more is the Fifth Generation."

"Mages who obtain Dragon Slayer power by eating dragons."

"Eating dragons?!"

Ultear, Mira, and the others immediately frowned, completely unable to accept that idea.

Dragons were intelligent beings capable of human speech.

Eating dragons truly exceeded what they could accept.

Lucy weakly raised her hand.

"I have a question. If Diabolos can already slay dragons, why not ask them to accept the request?"

"Diabolos's guild master, Georg Reizen, is arrogant, tyrannical, cruel... In short, he is a Mage with many flaws. Under his leadership, Diabolos completely ignores the Council. Or rather, they refuse to accept Council requests."

When Karulum spoke of Georg Reizen, he looked as though he was gritting his teeth and wanted to tear the man apart.

Raizel did not comment on that.

First, this was only Karulum's side of the story.

Second, when it came to the Magic Council and Magic Guilds being at odds, Fairy Tail was very familiar with that kind of thing.

The previous generations of councilors had practically wanted to disband Fairy Tail.

And now?

They acted like close brothers.

What Raizel did not know was that Karulum's evaluation of Georg Reizen was not really slander.

The Diabolos guild master, Georg Reizen, the Four Beast Dragon, truly was an unruly man.

He sexually harassed his own subordinate, the Azure Dragon Misaki—though he never succeeded.

Most of it was crude jokes and dirty talk.

He was domineering, unreasonable, reckless, and suppressed the members of his own guild.

And so on.

In short, he was a man who absolutely had to die!
