I did not even plan to be there.
At this point in my life, nothing ever really went according to plan anymore, so when I turned into one of the quieter wings of the palace in search of nothing in particular, just peace, just silence, just a moment where nobody was calling my name or asking me if I had eaten or if I needed to lie down, I should have known better than to think I would actually get it.
Because the moment I stepped into that wide open room, I was met with color…color everywhere.
It was a mess; there was paint there was canvas sprayed all around and in the middle of it all stood Finn, sleeves rolled up, fingers stained in green and gold, his long wavy green hair tied loosely behind his neck while he leaned over a canvas with the kind of focus that made the world around him irrelevant, and beside him…her.
