Jhonatan began to explain the plan.
—Plan B is as follows: Dan, you have to make the principal leave his office, retrieve the helicopter, and get out before he comes back.
—Huh?! So I'm the one doing the whole plan? —Dan asked.
—Well... I'd be lying if I said no, so yes, you're doing the entire retrieval.
—And what are you two going to do?
—We —Jhonatan pointed to himself and Brandon with his thumb— are going to keep watch to make sure the principal doesn't come back, and if he does, we'll warn you.
Dan raised an eyebrow.
—And how are you going to warn me? Are you going to shout "Dan get out now, the principal is coming!"?
—I hadn't thought about that... Well, we'll figure it out. Now get inside —Jhonatan gently pushed Dan toward the principal's office.
—Nooo. —He resisted going in— I know! How about I make the principal leave the office instead, and you two go in and get the toy.
—Mmm... And that way if we get caught, all three of us get in trouble... Sounds good to me —Brandon said.
—Huh? —Jhonatan sighed— Oh well, whatever, let's do it that way then.
—Yay! —Dan said.
Dan quickly opened the office door.
—Principal! Two boys from 4-D are fighting! —He pretended to be out of breath from running.
The principal stood up abruptly from his chair.
—What?! I'm going right now! —He walked quickly to the door— Thanks for letting me know, Dan! —He left the office.
—You're welcome. —Dan said once the principal was gone.
He stepped out of the office and looked both ways.
—The coast is clear! You can come in now!
Jhonatan and Brandon poked their heads out from the corner where they were hiding and then ran toward the office.
All three went inside and closed the door.
—Alright, phase one complete. Now... —He looked around the office searching for the helicopter— Where is the helicopter?
Dan pointed his finger at the toy, which was still on top of the boxes.
—It's right there.
Jhonatan moved a chair closer and stood on top of it to try and reach the toy.
—Almost got it...
He managed to grab the toy.
—Perfect —He held it close to his chest— Phase two complete. Now we just have to get out of here.
Suddenly, the doorknob started to turn. The boys jumped and turned to look at the door.
—Oh no... —Jhonatan said, scared.
Back in their classroom, the teacher was still giving the lesson until he turned to look at Josias.
—Josias, Dan and the others left half an hour ago. What are they doing in the bathroom for so long?
Josias looked up at the teacher.
—Oh, it's just that... Well... They... They have stomach aches.
—All three of them?
He nodded.
—Yes, it seems like the three of them share the same stomach, they are really close.
—And you?
Josias touched his tummy.
—I'm fine, but if you want I can go check on them.
—Please do, tell them to come back —He turned back toward the blackboard.
Josias stood up quickly from his seat.
—Understood, leave it to me —He left the classroom to go look for them.
The office door opened and the principal walked in.
—Hey Dan, but 4-D didn't come to school today.
There was no one in the office. The principal looked confused. The three boys were hiding under the desk.
—Hey Dan, why did you hide too? —Jhonatan asked in a low whisper.
—Because I got nervous, I got scared too.
—Make him leave the office again —Brandon said.
Dan crawled out from under the desk and stood up.
—Oh really? Then I guess I saw wrong or got confused.
—What were you doing under the desk? —The principal asked.
—It's just that... I dropped a pencil and bent down to pick it up.
—Oh, I see. Well, there's no fight so you can go now —He walked toward his desk.
—Wait! —Dan stood in front of him— Umm... How about we go get something to eat?
—I don't have time.
Jhonatan and Brandon slowly crawled out from under the desk and started creeping toward the door.
—Oh then... Tell me, how is work going as principal?
The principal sat down in his chair, and Dan stood in front of the desk to block his view of the door.
—Tiring as always.
The boys managed to get out of the office and crawl to the right side. Dan nodded.
—Oh I see, well I have to go now, my next class is starting soon. Bye. —He turned and left the office.
—Bye, Dan.
Once outside, Jhonatan and Brandon stood up. Dan walked over and the three high-fived.
—Yes! It went perfectly! —Jhonatan said, holding the toy in his hands.
The three started walking back to the classroom. Brandon sighed.
—That was close...
Josias appeared in the hallway and, seeing them, ran toward them.
—There you are.
Jhonatan showed him the helicopter in his hands.
—Mission accomplished.
—Ah! You guys actually managed to get the toy from the principal's office!
But just then, the same teacher who had taken the toy away in the first place came out of the classroom next door. The boys froze.
—Oh no.
The teacher took the toy away from them again and returned it to the principal's office. This time they asked Himari for help. She talked to the principal and retrieved the helicopter easily. She handed it back to Jhonatan, but not before scolding him severely for using it in class.
