Tamasya's eyes opened up; she found herself back in her room. For a brief second, her mind floated between reality and the fading sleepiness, making her vision a bit hazy.
Sitting up, she looked around only to see William sitting on the couch in front of her. The room was quiet, eerily so, save for the faint rustle of fabric as she shifted slightly.
Tamasya breathed heavily; she remembered falling asleep beside him. Her chest rose and fell unevenly, as if her body were trying to catch up. A faint warmth crept up her cheeks at the memory.
William looked at her. "Good morning," he said with a subtle smile. His voice was steady and calm, but anything but peaceful to her.
Tamasya blinked her eyes for a moment and then nodded. Her lashes fluttered as she tried to steady her thoughts.
William walked to her and handed her some water to drink to make her a bit active.
