Andy upon seeing the door being kicked open was truly startled, but soon began talking. His eyes grew a bit red as he looked at Felix. Who dressed as a jester seemed kind of odd and a bit intimidating.
"I don't know."
Felix frowned as he stepped inside to begin searching. Chucky should still be here or it shouldn't have gotten far.
"You can't be here." Andy said, trying to block him.
"Is there an adult here?" Felix said.
"Only Joanne, Phil died when he fell down the stairs earlier." Andy responded.
Upon hearing this, Felix quickly guessed that Joanne was the woman who died in the other room. Now hearing that only Andy is left living in the house. He guessed that Chucky has some obsession with him.
"Andy, tell me truthfully. Is the doll called Chucky here?" Felix asked seriously.
"I don't know." Andy kicked the ground.
Crouching down, Felix placed his fingers on the ground and sent a pulse of magic into the ground. The magic rippled across the ground and rapidly moved throughout the house. It is a very crude method of searching, but also will send back a pulse if it runs into a living thing.
The reason Felix didn't use it earlier as this type of magic search is very inefficient and unreliable. Still, it quickly returned two strong lifeforms within the house with one right before him. While the other is downstairs in the basement.
"I want you to go outside." Felix said to Andy.
"Me? What about you who is breaking and entering." Andy glared fiercely at him.
"We've been talking so long yet Joanne hasn't come. Use your head and think what this means?" Felix said.
"She could have just stepped out. After all, she wants to send me back to the foster program." Andy weakly said.
If not for being afraid that Chucky might target the boy, Felix would want to cast sleep magic on him. Clearly the boy knows how dangerous this doll is, but still wants to block him from dealing with it.
"How many have to die before you will allow me to deal with him?" Felix said coldly.
Andy finally moved to the side allowing Felix to walk towards the basement. Pushing open the door, Felix began to descend the stair when he heard a soft drop behind him.
Twisting his body, Felix swung his hand and smacked what came behind him. There with big blue eyes, red hair and a big ol' smile. A large doll appeared and was sent flying off into the stair wall.
"Motherfuc*er"
The innocent doll looked shifted as it bared its teeth and its eyebrows lowered as anger replaced its features. It cursed him before lunging at him, but Felix naturally held the height and length advantage here.
Bam!
Felix grabbed the doll face and forcefully slammed it into the wall. Then dragging the doll up the stairs, Felix headed outside. Besides shock value of seeing the doll move and seemingly normal adult strength. Which he deduced from the trail of bodies this doll left behind, it really wasn't that strong.
"A mage is ya." Chucky screamed in rage.
Felix didn't answer as he began to think about how to deal with Chucky. From the detectives, he knows that Chucky seems to return quite often, almost at intervals of a few months. Each time he is dismantled or burned, but still returns.
"What are you thinking about you, Mph~."
Covering the doll mouth, Felix didn't really feel like busting out his sealing magic for this little thing. His Seal of Eons is for stronger beings than a man who possesses a doll. The thought of freezing him in a block of ice crossed his mind, but then he got thinking. Why doesn't he just throw this curse doll into prison?
He won't need to worry about Chucky returning since he never left. Over time, his doll body will continue to convert towards a human body. Since the voodoo magic he cast to take over the doll is meant to take over humans and not inanimate objects.
Much like the Human Subordination Magic, where the side effects if one casts the magic on non-human beings is the user and the non-human subordinate being fused together. The voodoo magic, this man cast clearly wasn't meant to be cast on inanimate objects. So the side effect is over time this doll body will continue to convert into a human body.
"For such an easy mission, why was I nominated?" Felix felt strange.
The council could have just sent a guard or a small squad to capture Chucky. So Felix began to seriously scan Chucky with his Alpha Stigma to see if anything was worthy to note. Besides the voodoo magic, he really didn't find anything special about him.
"Strange." Felix muttered.

"We will take it from here."
Standing before a squad of Rune Knights sent by the council after Felix sent a message. A couple of knights lifted an iron box with bars they brought. Inside, Chucky attempted to play the part of a normal doll. Yet, none of those present were fools for while the knights didn't have Felix's eyes to see the magic, they had a tool that reacts to it.
Due to dealing with dark mages, these tools aren't really used much. Instead, these tools are more used for situations like this when dealing with cursed objects.
"Be careful. Even if this doll isn't that impressive, it still has the strength of a normal adult." Felix warned.
"Yes, sir." The captain of the squad nodded seriously.
Felix then watched as the Rune Knights left with Chucky. Most of the trouble in this mission came not from the curse object but trying to get information to locate it. In a world of magic, why they didn't think of incinerating the entire doll or locking it up was beyond him.
Shaking his head, Felix soon left the house where the Chicago Police were working clearing it. They had already removed the bodies of Phil and Joanne. Now they were just doing the follow up work while also trying to figure out what to do with Andy.

Sitting on the train to go back to the guild. Felix sat by himself as he began to wonder what kind of mission he should take next. He felt energized since there hadn't been too many bodies in his last few missions.
'If my next few missions keep going like this, I could lose my title as Death Bringer.' Felix thought happily.
His title sounded like it belonged in a dark magic guild and not a proper one like Fairy Tail. So to ride this bit of luck and get rid of this title, he is ready to go do another mission upon returning. If not, his luck might shift again and his title might upgrade itself.
'Maybe I will take one by the sea. It has been a while.' Felix thought.
So while he felt a bit cheerful in order to pass the time on the train, Felix began to write down his mission. Maybe in the future, he could make it into an adventure book even if he found this mission quite boring. If he writes it well, maybe someone will find it interesting.
Sadly, besides writing a bit, he found there really wasn't a whole lot to write about. It mainly just overviewed how he arrived, chatted and finally found the doll in the basement. There was no grand magic fight or struggle.
'Maybe during the bath, I will invite Mirajane or Erza on my next mission.' Felix thought.
