Chapter 132 - Fine Adjustments

"Kyaa—! Lord Soren!"

Inside the Supreme Leader's office in Konoha, a sharp, miserable cat-cry nearly made Uchiha Soren drop his wellness teacup.

A yellow-white fat cat—Juno—leapt from thin air and landed squarely in his lap, tiny paws clutching his collar while mewling in panic.

Its trembling whiskers and anxious eyes made Soren sigh, set his teacup aside, and rub Juno's soft fur.

He also shot a helpless glance toward Minamoto Kaori and Uzumaki Minako, who were already looking his way.

"My adorable Lord Juno… what happened this time?"

"M-Master Soren, th-there was a gh-gh—"

The instant the word "gh—" (ghost) left Juno's mouth, Soren casually covered the cat's muzzle, looking deeply disappointed as he exclaimed:

"What? You're still afraid of ghosts?!"

(Bringing Juno outside is fine… but never when I'm going to meet women!)

Feeling the sudden shift in the room's atmosphere and the sharp gazes of the two women, Soren squeezed a little harder—Juno's feline face instantly froze into a mask of pain.

With a gentle smile that did not match the danger in the air, Soren continued:

"Juno, you're already at chūnin level. How can you still be scared of ghosts? Planning to go pray at the Susanoo Shrine?"

"Y-Yes, yes, yes!"

Juno's nose twitched as Soren's fingers kneaded its cheeks like dough. Under the pressure of those terrifyingly sharp gazes, the cat nodded rapidly.

"This humble cat fears ghosts the most!"

"Kaori, if you're free, let Juno play with that stoat, Nerugu, more often. Maybe it'll learn some courage."

(Honestly. The older one can't act, the younger one refuses to learn.)

Kaori tapped her pen against the desk, sounding both amused and exasperated. She didn't expose Soren's clumsy lie—she simply followed his lead.

"Juno certainly needs the training. Just like its master—thinking boldly, doing boldly."

"Haha, that's right."

Soren chuckled and relaxed his hands. Juno finally took a relieved breath and muttered inwardly:

(I didn't expect Lord Soren to start speaking in circles.)

In the next instant, the cat sprang gracefully from Soren's lap onto the spotless desk—then jumped straight into Kaori's arms.

Soren's eye twitched slightly when Juno meowed sweetly:

"Lady Kaori~, I have a question about forbidden techniques."

"Forbidden techniques? I don't know much about those."

Kaori stroked Juno while briefly glancing at Soren—whose attention was fixed on his teacup—before calmly asking:

"What kind of forbidden technique?"

"It's a technique I obtained accidentally—Shadow-Mirror Transformation Art. It can permanently alter a creature's appearance and body type."

Both Kaori and Minako froze.

Kaori subconsciously looked at her own modest chest.

Minako placed a hand on her slightly plump waist.

"Juno, go ahead and explain. I'll help you evaluate it."

Minako leaned forward, but Kaori suddenly realized something—

A cat learning such a technique…

Why?

"Don't rush into revealing everything."

Kaori regained her composure and shot Soren a subtle look—he leisurely sipped his tea.

Then she turned her attention back to Juno with a calm smile that made the cat's fur stand on end.

"Juno… why do you want to learn it? What are you planning to become?"

Juno shrank its head, replying earnestly:

"Th-This cat wants to become human! And then become the mighty Two-Tails jinchūriki!"

"Become human, hm?"

Kaori glanced sideways at Soren again, her tone suddenly deeper.

"Sounds admirable… but aren't you afraid that after turning human, a certain someone—who never refuses beautiful prey—might pin you down and devour you whole?"

"Juno is not afraid! My sage training is going great! And once I become the Two-Tails jinchūriki, all the big bad wolves in the shinobi world will be my prey!"

The pure earnestness almost made Kaori laugh out loud.

This… was exactly how she once thought—before being thoroughly "educated" by Soren.

Now she knew every position in the book.

Her expression softened.

"Then have you decided what kind of human you want to become?"

"Of course!"

Juno suddenly lit up, raising its paws proudly as it recited:

"This cat wants:

—Lady Kaori's beautiful face!

—Lady Minako's… b-big chest!

—Lady Zhili's slender waist!

—Lady Mitsu's long, elegant legs!

And also—"

"Ahem."

Soren interrupted, staring at his teacup.

"Nara Clan's wellness tea… tastes far too bitter."

"Fufu~"

Kaori gave a low chuckle.

"Continue, Juno. What else?"

"And also… the cat ears and cat tail from Lord Soren's room!"

Kaori's cheeks turned faintly red.

Minako blinked, then gave Kaori a teasing look.

"A-Alright. Let's leave that topic aside."

Kaori cleared her throat quickly, feeling the weight of Soren's presence.

"Juno, tell us more about the Shadow-Mirror Transformation Art. If there's anything difficult, we can help."

"Yes, Lady Kaori!"

Juno didn't understand why Kaori's attitude kept shifting, but it didn't matter.

What mattered was turning human—becoming a legendary cat-sage, famous for generations.

And most importantly…

Living forever beside Uchiha Soren's descendants.

As Juno explained the technique, Kaori's excitement faded—

The Greyral Stone system was profoundly incompatible with chakra.

Minako's brush raced across her notes, the wheels of a seal-master's mind already spinning.

Most sealing arts were forbidden for a reason—many had terrifying destructive potential.

Yet Minako wasn't thinking about danger.

She was thinking about…

How to become more attractive.

Should her waist be slimmer?

Should her bosom grow fuller?

Should her face or legs be refined too?

There were… many areas that could be "adjusted."
