Time flowed on like water, slipping by quietly.
Within the royal annex of E-Rantel, the avatar that had been training as a magic caster for a full month advanced another level today.
At the same time, he unlocked a brand-new profession.
—Uchiha Soren
Professions:
Elemental Mage · Fire (Lv.10)
Elemental Mage · Lightning (Lv.10)
Elemental Mage · Wind (Lv.1)
Abilities: Tier I to Tier IV magic
Overall Combat Rating: Lv.21
(Orichalcum-rank adventurer. Capable of Tier IV magic. A powerhouse among mortals, already comparable to a Special Jōnin. In a four-person party, capable of contending with the Hero tier.)
Ascension Points: … (continuously increasing)
At his fingertips, three elemental forces—fire, lightning, and wind—spiraled together.
Whenever they brushed against one another, faint ripples of energy erupted, only to cancel each other out pair by pair.
(Hmm… maybe I could draw inspiration from the Flame Emperor's Buddha Rage Fire Lotus?)
(Or perhaps something like a combined Five-Element Ninjutsu?)
Ideas surfaced one after another.
With those thoughts in mind, Uchiha Soren stepped out of the palace—and happened to see three women training on the practice grounds, sweat flying as they moved.
This area lay deep within the annex. Aside from female attendants, Soren was the only man allowed here.
As a result, the three women were dressed… refreshingly light.
A thin, translucent veil protected them from the sun, while beneath it, their outfits resembled the kind of bikini armor seen in 18+ anime.
Every leap and twist was brimming with lively curves.
"Lord Soren, care to train with us~?"
Lilynet, waving her staff as she cast a Tier IV spell, spotted Soren and curved her lips into a teasing smile.
She suddenly hugged the staff to her chest. The holy emblem of the Earth God on her bosom glowed faintly, the divine sigil resembling a guiding beacon—one that illuminated a pair of ruby-red eyes beneath generous softness.
The other two women, who had been sparring nearby, widened their movements as well.
It could only be described as… a turbulent sight.
"You three meat buns!"
Soren raised a hand, releasing three pure wind-element whirlwinds that surged up from beneath their feet, drawing out a chorus of startled cries.
"Young Master Soren, your strength has increased again!"
At first, all three had been focused on teasing him. But the moment Soren made a move, the surge in magical power—clearly a step above before—was instantly detected by Lilynet, who was also a mage.
"Lilynet, Sukama—your equipment's been upgraded too. Let's test it out."
With Six Paths–level mental strength supporting him, Tier IV magic felt effortless. One attack spell after another forced Sukama—who was trying to close the distance—into a constant retreat.
"Tier IV Magic · Extended Intuition!"
"Tier IV Magic · Full Physique Enhancement!"
"Tier IV Magic · Earth God's Protection!"
Knowing she couldn't afford to be careless, Lilynet went all out. Three consecutive support spells landed squarely on Sukama.
(I can break through!)
Her senses sharpened dramatically. Her physical strength surged across the board, and a dim yellow barrier enveloped her body.
With a roar, Sukama locked onto the relaxed-looking Soren and charged forward.
As she dodged incoming magic arrows, the glow of martial techniques flickered across her body.
"Combat Skill · Probability Sense!"
"Combat Skill · Hyper Probability Perception!"
Her continuously enhanced intuition made her seem divinely aided. She effortlessly avoided Soren's Tier III Magic · Lightning Strike.
"Combat Skill · Battle Aura Focus!"
The magic battle axe in her hands flared with aura. With a single swing, she cleaved apart the blazing fireball rushing toward her.
"Combat Technique · Magic Resistance Enhancement!"
"Tier III Magic · Flight!"
With Lilynet's assistance, Sukama rose into the air, narrowly evading Tier IV Magic · Chain Fireballs.
Her sky-blue eyes locked onto Soren as she shouted:
"Combat Skill · Aerial Cleaving Slash!"
A crescent-shaped wave of battle aura—already brushing the threshold of the Hero realm—shot forth from her axe, slashing toward Soren.
"Tier II Magic · Flash!"
Lilynet continued her support. A blinding burst of light forced Soren to narrow his eyes, momentarily losing track of Sukama's position.
"Now this is getting interesting."
Since he couldn't see clearly, Soren simply closed his eyes.
Behind him, three colors lit up—red, violet, and green—three magic spheres representing fire, lightning, and wind.
A brand-new spell, created on the fly during battle, was unleashed.
"Tier IV Magic · Wind–Lightning Spear!"
In an instant, a blue-white spear took shape in the void, wrapped in roaring wind and crackling lightning.
Guided purely by Soren's spiritual perception, it shot straight toward the airborne crescent slash.
After a violent collision of energies, Sukama—her Focus severely depleted—felt exhaustion wash over both body and mind.
She looked at Soren's smiling face, sighed helplessly, and landed on the ground.
"Young Master Soren… you've only just leveled up and aren't even wearing any equipment. How are you stronger than Lilynet and me together?"
Panting, Sukama voiced the doubt in her heart.
"I'm just a tiny bit better at controlling magic."
Soren glanced at Sukama's heaving chest, pinched his fingers together to show "just a bit," then chuckled.
"Sukama, if you're feeling too constricted there, you could always take it off."
Sukama's face flushed crimson as she let out a soft cry.
"If I take it off, how am I supposed to train? This isn't a bed, you know~"
"Oh my, oh my~" Lilynet walked over, covering her mouth as she laughed.
"Didn't our dear captain sleep under the stars last night, using the sky as her blanket and the earth as her bed?"
Sukama shot her an annoyed glare.
"Young Master Soren," Ediss finally spoke.
"Was that magic just now… something you created yourself?"
Stronger and far more experienced, Ediss's attention was fixed on the three magic spheres that had appeared behind Soren.
A spell of that power couldn't possibly be unknown if it had already spread across the world. Having traveled through desert cities, kingdoms, empires, and even the Council State, she was certain—she had never seen or even heard of it.
"During cultivation, I gained a bit of insight," Soren replied calmly.
"It came naturally, so I created it."
His casual tone plunged the three women into silence.
Most of their martial skills and magic were inherited or learned from others.
Even Ediss—despite her extraordinary talent—had developed her combat system through innate ability alone. Passing it on to others was nearly impossible.
Magic, however, was different.
Among the four types of magic casters, there was always a shared foundation.
Pure elemental magic, in particular, could circulate among the vast majority of magic casters.
