"Hmmm."
She brought a hand to her chin and began to ponder.
"For starters, we're in the Fifth Realm, Sylith. The sky above us is the Fourth Realm, Varnok. That's where our one and only problem lies. Without Varnok in the way, we could reach Zerynthor, and later the main Realm, Velorith, in just a few hours."
"I thought Lord Lancelith said you need knowledge, not adventuring?"
"If that were true, I'd accept Adrian's guidance, not yours."
"Hmmm?"
"I told him I wanted you specifically. That way we won't be trapped in some dull history lesson, would we?"
She brightened immediately.
"First things first, let's scale past Varnok."
"What if we spend most of the day trying to do that?"
Vera asked, concern clear in her voice.
"Vera's right. Not everyone can pass through the Crystal Wild."
Tik answered.
"Soldiers are thrown into Sylith with the task of reaching Zerynthor. Out of every hundred, only thirty make it out of each batch. The highest success rate was eighty-nine percent, and that was when we were preparing for the Great Dragon War."
"We won't know unless we try. Besides, did you forget I'm going too?"
I smirked.
"Okay. Let's go!"
She spread her wings and shot into the sky. Without hesitation, Vera followed after her.
'Oh Star… I don't even know how to create wings.'
I didn't need them to keep up. I could bend gravity itself, and after honing that control to perfection it came as naturally as breathing. As they soared ahead, I simply adjusted the pull beneath my feet and followed after them, leaving the glowing forest of Sylith behind.
