I drifted into the portal appearing in a world I don't know. I'm bothered, I have a single goal, FETCH.
'I'll fetch as much as possible before Papa and my brother get in trouble, I have to save them.'
In Antares's World, Paradis, the distance between planets is 671 million miles, and the distance between two galaxies is the same digits but multiplied. With more than 99% of the World was uninhabited, alot of energy reserves pools were present. This also made it easier for Void Eater to do it's job.
Void Eater started with planets, then the galaxies, its speed increasing by the as it scaled through the cosmos.
Due to its linkage to Entares, it felt his disturbing growth by the second. This creates a sense of uneasiness in the void-born creature, forcing it to act faster.
'I need more. I can do better than this.'
It's speed tripled, and with such movement, it began interacting within the universal scale, picking off energy from one universe to the other. The Void Eater was moving at a speed about a thousand times the speed of light, and with this speed, the lower universes had their energy completely sucked up.
Nihilius' body got shattered, and the link to Entares was diminishing, which only left the sense of uneasiness growing in it.
'Destroying the World would've been easier, but I'm not allowed to. I can't go back. It's not enough. We still have a formidable battle ahead.'
Void Eater was now travelling at maximum speed it could currently move, absorbing energy from the structure of the Paradis itself.
It moved so fast that merely passing by a universe was enough to drain all its energy, leaving it completely empty. It then lunged upwards, moving up to the higher plane and began interacting with the main structures of Paradis. The Hyperworld here has planets and a universe containing those them.
Unlike the previous planets, the distance between the planets was insanely high, but Void Eater wasn't done fetching. Its borke the limits yet again, it's speed increasing, and it was now interacting with the main universes. In a flash, the universe was taken care of, and it drifted onto Paradis itself.
If Paradis were in his grasp, one could glimpse a streak of darkness coursing through it darting and weaving around the World's core, carefully avoiding the hearts of those lives Antares still deemed precious.
'It can't be. That's all?'
It asked, shocked the energy from Paradis wasn't enough. This also raised a question on what's Entares going to do with such enormous pool of energy.
Whatever he's going to do with it, as long as they'll win, the least it can do is fetch more.
'I'm.. I'm yet to reach the limit provided. Bless me with strength, Papa. Speed, to make it on time.'
As if the all mighty was listening, he responded.
'Granted, my child.'
A portal sbaped opened in the distance, to which the Void Eater used to leave Paradis.
In a desperate attempt to save its brother and father, the Void Eater lost control, its hunger blinding it as it drained two worlds into nonexistence before hurtling back to the battlefield.
I expected to arrive too late to find nothing left… but Papa and Nihilius were still standing, completely firm and undefeated.
"Just in time."
Entares said without turning to meet the will-o-wisp. He raised his arm and becknoed.
"Come."
Without hesitation, the creature retreated into him.
Entares was in a perfect state, as one can see. He tricked Void Eater only to hasten its short trip, and it worked. Multicoloured flames burst from his body. It was too unstable to be called an aura.
"Nihilius, with all your might, don't let these energies go to waste. Channel them back to my body. I'll accept minimal waste."
The armour was fixing itself rapidly to contain the pool of energy but it was finding it troublesome to control this foreign force.
"As expected."
Entares spoke, already anticipating this outcome.
"Void Eater, lend your brother a hand."
If the Void Eater was capable of containing all those whole energy and delivering it safely, this shouldn't be a problem. Its essence laced over Nihilius, trapping and sending it back into Entares.
"We're a ticking time bomb. Let's finish this lizard ASAP."
With this new setup, the table was instantly turned.
All attacks Entares fired were effective. Voidborn's regeneration was top-notch because it couldn't be harmed in the first place... (Sarcastic)
"You never once considered that you could be touched in Phase Null, all because you are void?"
Entares scoffed, the sound laced with quiet disdain.
"How weak."
Erebus stilled, the realisation striking deeper than any blade as his miscalculation unfolded before him.
"Void is non-existence, emptiness, nothingness."
He said, his voice unravelling under the weight of disbelief and rising frustration.
"How… how can you possibly damage me with a mere dagger?"
The words came strained, almost jagged, as if even speaking them betrayed the certainty he once held. He was void, untouchable by nature, beyond interaction or harm, yet the effects persisted.
"Ah, poor Jagarette… didn't tell you?"
He said, a faint smirk tugging at his lips.
"What a shame. It's far too late to cry once the head has already been severed."
He pressed the assault without pause, each strike deliberate and suffocating, leaving Voidborn no room to breathe.
The pressure mounted until instinct took over, forcing it into an immediate retreat. This was no longer a battle it could win, and, in truth, it never had been.
"This is a weapon of pure Energy. There is far more to Zhēnqì{¹} than the manipulation of Qìnéng{²}. Only I, who can truly interact with them, have reached this conclusion."
His voice slipping into a language far too ancient for this Existential Shell and it's creators.
"Ether opens a gateway to a realm beyond this limited Shell, and He will ascend to those heights in search of the true essence, to surpass it, Tiānyuán{³}."
As the final word fell, Entares unleashed a barrage of white light that tore through the void, scattering it in violent bursts.
The Phase Null Void Dragon recoiled, then turned towards the higher realms and shot forward at an impossible speed, its escape driven by a fear it could no longer suppress.
"One thing is certain. He is not regenerating."
Nihilius noted, its voice steady as it observed the Dragon's faltering state.
"That is because he cannot. You are all still alive because IT wills it."
The voice came from nowhere and everywhere at once, yet drawing their attention downward. Their gazes settled on the blade, White, its presence quiet, yet unmistakably aware.
"You can talk too?"
The Void Eater asked, a hint of delight slipping through, as though the moment felt strangely complete.
"Be silent and finish this, or I will withdraw and let you be swallowed by the light."
It replied coldly.
"You've got nerves I'll give you that."
Entares remarked, a faint smirk forming before he surged forward towards Voidborn.
The multicoloured flames flared to life, stretching and coiling as it shaped itself into chains that shot forward with unrelenting force. The moment Voidborn set foot within the uppermost realm of the world, the chains manifested around it, binding its form with effortless precision and dragging it down against its will.
Entares appeared before it in the next instant, two star-like orbs revolving behind him, their glow steady yet ominous with magical, star and natural energies alike.
With each rotation, they edged closer together, the space between them tightening, as though something far greater was about to take form.
"Heh… you lose. Supernova."
He let out a low chuckle as the two orbs behind him drifted closer, their rotations tightening until they collided and merged into one. For a fleeting moment, everything stilled, as though the world itself hesitated. Then without warning, it erupted.
A blinding surge of silver light burst forth, consuming everything in its path and swallowing the World of Darkness whole, leaving nothing but a searing brilliance where shadows once ruled.
