Chapter 155 - Chapter 155: How Truly Cold

"Tanjirou." Thinking this, Mizuki waved toward Tanjirou.

"Miss Mizuki?" Hearing Mizuki call out, Tanjirou stopped training, wiped off his sweat, and came to the veranda. "Miss Mizuki, is something the matter?"

Mizuki said softly, "I have something I need to go to your house for. Tanjirou, do you want to come back with me?"

"Something at my house?" Tanjirou paused, then quickly asked, "Did something happen at my place?"

Seeing a hint of panic appear on his face, Mizuki shook her head: "That's not what I meant. This is a long story, but roughly, there is a plant in your backyard that only blooms in the summer, which can allow demons to overcome the sun. Nezuko might be able to use it."

The first part made Tanjirou a bit dizzy, but he understood the last sentence.

Tanjirou said in surprise, "Can Nezuko overcome the sun too?"

"She should be able to." Mizuki nodded slightly. In fact, she felt Nezuko could already overcome the sun.

It's just that Nezuko always hid from the sun, and she couldn't possibly drag her out to be "barbecued."

When she first overcame the sun, it was only achieved after resisting the burning sensation for a while. Deliberately experimenting like that would be too much.

However, with Tamayo's research, retrieving the blue spider lily to help everyone overcome the sun would definitely not be difficult.

"That's wonderful." Tanjirou's face was beaming with a smile. He suddenly remembered, "Oh, right, Nezuko can eat food normally now! Thank you so much!"

He suddenly bowed deeply toward Mizuki.

Mizuki laughed wryly, "If you want to thank someone, thank Tamayo when the time comes. I just brought the medicine back."

Tanjirou smiled foolishly and asked, "Then when should we leave?"

Mizuki looked up at the sky. She had returned from Tamayo's place, and it was already nearing noon.

"Tomorrow, perhaps. You can rest from this afternoon's training; don't overexert yourself."

Tanjirou firmly retorted, "No! I can keep going!"

As soon as he finished speaking, before Mizuki could say anything, Zenitsu, who had been eavesdropping nearby for half the day, leaped forward, covered Tanjirou's mouth, and frantically said to Mizuki:

"Don't listen to his nonsense! idiot Tanjirou, since we're going out, of course, we need to get some proper rest."

Zenitsu was on the verge of tears. This period had been grueling. He hadn't had a single chance to rest; they were practically working him to death.

Mizuki nodded, "Zenitsu is right. Balancing work and rest is the correct way to train."

"Besides, if we run into any danger on the road, it will be troublesome if you can't give it your all."

Tanjirou pulled Zenitsu's hand away and nodded helplessly, "Alright then."

Zenitsu trembled, tears welling up in his eyes as he said, "I can finally rest~"

Mizuki looked at him with slight confusion, "If Tanjirou goes out, can't you just continue training by yourself?"

Zenitsu's moved expression froze, and he instantly turned to stone.

Inosuke, wearing his dusty Pig Head mask, looked at him foolishly, "Is Tanjirou going home?"

Tanjirou scratched his head awkwardly, "Yes, it seems so."

"Then will it just be me and this guy training together?" Inosuke looked wisely at the despairing Zenitsu.

A wisp of white gas floated out of Zenitsu's mouth.

Tanjirou sweatdropped, "Um, Miss Mizuki..."

"Can everyone go together?"

Zenitsu recovered at the speed of light, looking at Mizuki with expectation, stars practically sparkling in his eyes.

Mizuki leaned back and waved her hand dismissively, "Fine. There hasn't been much going on lately anyway. If you want to follow along, go ahead."

It was probably because everyone had just experienced a major battle in the Entertainment District. Although Tanjirou and the others had recovered significantly, Ubuyashiki currently had no plans to assign missions, perhaps wanting everyone to rest properly for a while.

"Yay~" The thought of finally escaping the sea of misery made Zenitsu jump up entirely, bouncing around the courtyard.

Kochou Shinobu and Kanzaki Aoi came to the veranda carrying trays.

Seeing the commotion in the courtyard, she asked in confusion, "What's going on here?"

She carefully handed a rice ball to Mizuki.

"Thanks." Mizuki first offered a word of thanks, took the rice ball, and bit into it. Then she shook her head and mumbled indistinctly, "I don't know~ Maybe the long-term high pressure finally got to him and he went crazy."

Tanjirou: *Sweatdrop!!*

Kochou Shinobu covered her mouth and chuckled softly, her delicate eyes curving into crescents as she called out, "Tanjirou, Inosuke, come and eat first."

Inosuke rubbed his stomach, "I'm hungry right now."

Tanjirou thanked her, "Miss Kochou, thank you."

Kanzaki Aoi looked at Zenitsu, who was jumping farther and farther away, pointed, and asked, "What about that guy?"

Kochou Shinobu smiled brightly and waved her over to sit down, "Well, skipping one meal won't hurt him."

Kanzaki Aoi:...That's terrifying. To be able to say something so cold with such a bright smile.

Tanjirou grabbed an extra rice ball. Mizuki thought he was taking it to Zenitsu, but unexpectedly, Tanjirou took the rice ball and headed toward the room inside the veranda.

Mizuki couldn't help but laugh.

Seriously, he's spoiling his sister this much right after she regained her sense of taste.

Watching Tanjirou leave, Zenitsu finally snapped out of his excitement and jumped back.

"Ah, how sneaky! You didn't even call me to eat!"

Inosuke held a rice ball in each hand, squatted on the ground, and started eating, completely ignoring him.

Everyone else was also eating slowly and deliberately.

Silence~

Zenitsu shivered and muttered quietly, "That's so mean~"

After lunch, Tanjirou and the others carried water basins toward the Demon Slayer Corps bathhouse.

Kochou Shinobu looked puzzled, "No training this afternoon?"

Mizuki replied, "The blue spider lily should be blooming soon. I plan to take Tanjirou home to pick some."

"The blue spider lily?" Kochou Shinobu's eyes lit up. "Then Mizuki, after you return, remember to let me know. I'm very curious about it too."

Kochou Shinobu was basically aware of everything concerning Mizuki, including the fact that the blue spider lily could help overcome the sun.

No physician wouldn't be curious about a spider lily that only blooms for a moment during the hottest summer weather, like an ephemeral flower.

"Yes, I understand."

Kochou Shinobu sighed, "What a shame. I really wanted to go out and have fun with you all."

Mizuki smiled helplessly, "That can't be helped, I suppose. The capable ones bear the burden."

Although Kochou Shinobu is permanently stationed at the Butterfly Mansion, her position doesn't allow her to leave casually. As part of the Demon Slayer Corps' logistics team, her support work must be in place.

Moreover, if seriously injured swordsmen return, without her, others might not be able to handle their placement properly.

Generally, unless there is an emergency mission or she reports to Ubuyashiki beforehand, she will not leave the Butterfly Mansion lightly.
