Chapter 82 - The Public Announcement

Chapter—The Public Announcement

The golden leaves of autumn swirled through the streets of the city, painting the world in shades of amber and rust. Time, which once seemed to drag during the long hours of college lectures, was now sprinting toward an invisible finish line.

A month had passed since the Great Revelation. At college, the change was most visible in the hallways. Kael, once the feared shadow that loomed over the student body, had become a fixture at Luke's side. They were an unlikely pair—the quiet, "Average" Luke and the reformed powerhouse "Aura Destroyer"Kael—but their bond had become the talk of the campus. Kael's former gang of bullies had followed his lead, putting an end to the harassment that had plagued the school for years.

Meanwhile, Aurafiest continued its steady climb. Dressed in their new navy-blue uniforms with the star-crested silver brooches, they were no longer just a group of students; they were a symbol of the new world. Under Marin's tactical leadership, they cleared dungeons with a grace that left onlookers in awe. And every night, when the world slept, Auron soared through the clouds. He wasn't just patrolling for monsters anymore; he was a silent guardian, watching over the cities of the world, occasionally dropping into Kaizen's office to exchange reports on the shifting aura levels of the planet.

But as the air turned crisp and the first hints of winter began to bite, the weight of the future began to press down on Luke's shoulders once again.

**Reflections on a Balcony**

Luke stood on his balcony, leaning against the railing as the cold wind whipped through his hair. He looked down at his hands, then out at the city lights.

*One year and two months,* he thought. *That was when I first heard of the Aura Formulation. Back then, I was just a boy worried about my grades. Now, I know that aura is part of our very history. I've traveled the world, fought devils, and become a auraamaster that people look up to—even if they don't know it's me.*

The journey from his small hometown to the global stage felt like a dream. He was the figure everyone discussed at dinner tables, yet he was still the boy who had to help his mother with the groceries.

A sudden shiver ran through him. The cold was deepening. He rubbed his arms and stepped inside, where the warmth of home greeted him. His father was buried in the news,Shuri was sprawled on the sofa intensely focused on a mobile game, and his mother was in the kitchen, the savory scent of stew filling the air.

On the television, a live news broadcast was playing. Kaizen, surrounded by a literal forest of microphones and flashing cameras, was holding a global press conference.

"What's happening, Dad?" Luke asked, trying to sound casual despite the sudden tightness in his chest.

"They're questioning Kaizen and the other world masters about the devil invasion," his father replied without looking up from the news. "People are scared, Luke. They want to know exactly how we're going to stop them."

"They're going to tell us the secret plan!" Shuri added from the sofa, not looking up from her game. "The one that's supposed to prevent the invasion."

Luke's eyes widened. He watched the screen. Kaizen looked tired but resolute.

"We have a solution," Kaizen was saying to a reporter. "A method we all Auramaster discovered"

Luke didn't wait to hear the rest. "I forgot! I have some really important work to do for college!" he shouted, bolting for the door.

"What's gotten into him?" his father asked, finally looking up.

"He probably forgot his brain somewhere," Shuri muttered, tapping her screen furiously.

**The Race Against the Reveal**

Luke sprinted into the dark alleyway behind his apartment.

"Why the rush? Use the illusion!" Auru shouted as she manifested beside him.

"No time!" Luke grunted. "Using illusion waste time to stop Kaizen from speaking. I have to be there in person!"

He closed his eyes. "Unify!"

In a burst of silver light, Luke transformed. The civilian clothes were gone, replaced by the weight of the silver cape and the cold touch of the mask. He took off, a silver streak cutting through the autumn night, heading straight for the global broadcast center.

In the center of the city, Kaizen was reaching the climax of his speech. The world was watching.

"To prevent the devil invasion," Kaizen said, his voice echoing through every television and smartphone on the planet, "we will create a shield around the entire Earth. A planetary seal called the Aura Earth Shield."

Auron landed on the roof of the broadcast center just as the words left Kaizen's mouth. He was breathing hard, his aura flared with the exertion of the flight. He looked down and saw the camera crews focusing on Kaizen.

"And how will this be done?" a reporter asked. "Is it ready?"

"It will be led by Auron," Kaizen began. "He is the key to—"

"Kaizen!" Auron's voice thundered, descending from the sky like a falling star. He landed right beside Kaizen, the force of his arrival sending a small shockwave through the stage.

The reporters went wild. Cameras swiveled, flashes blinding the air. Kaizen looked at him, surprised. "Auron? You're here. We were just explaining the shield."

Auron took a deep breath, composing himself. He used his calmest, wisest voice—the voice of a leader who knew more than he was letting on.

"The Aura Earth Shield is our solution," Auron said, looking directly into the main camera lens. "But it is not ready. Not yet."

A murmur of confusion went through the crowd. Kaizen blinked. "As I know till now—"

"As i estimsted ," Auron interrupted gently, his mind racing. "But the execution requires a level of aura control we have not yet reached. We will manifest the shield at the very end of the one-year period—exactly ten months from now."

He turned to the reporters. "I am standing here today to tell you that I am not ready too. And neither are the other masters. To create a seal that covers the world, we must reach the peak of our potential. If we try now, we will fail."

"Why the delay?" a reporter shouted. "If the danger is real, why wait?"

"Because a shield that breaks is worse than no shield at all," Auron replied. "I request all Auramasters across the globe to spend these next ten months in rigorous training. We must become stronger than we ever thought possible. Only then can the Earth be saved."

Auron gave Kaizen a look that pleaded for silence. Kaizen, sensing an emotion he had never seen in Auron before—a flicker of deep, hidden fear—simply nodded.

"The meeting is adjourned," Kaizen announced.

Auron didn't linger. He took to the sky again, his heart hammering. He had bought himself ten months. Ten months to find a way to survive the 98% death rate.

**The Quiet Before the Storm**

Luke arrived back at his apartment, carrying a bag he had snatched from a 24-hour convenience store on the way. He de-unified in the alley and walked through the front door, panting.

"Here comes the scholar," Shuri teased as he walked in. "Where were you?"

"I had to get some study materials," Luke lied, holding up the bag which contained a few notebooks and a pack of pens. "The store was about to close and I had to go to the far end of the district."

"You're a weirdo, Luke,Do you knaow Auron appered near Kaizen all of sudden" Shuri said.

"Yes ,I watch in store"Luke lied.

"Well that fine"Shuri said while returning in the game.

Luke retreated to his room and locked the door. He slumped against his bed, the weight of the night finally hitting him. He pulled out the notebooks and laid them on his desk.

"You're worried about the 98% death rate, aren't you?" Auru whispered, floating near his shoulder. "You think if you do it now, you'll die for sure."

"I think I need every second of those ten months," Luke said, looking at his hands. "I need to find a way to bridge the gap. I need to become so strong that the 'life-spark' expenditure doesn't kill me."

"Kaizen looked at me like he saw through the mask," Luke whispered. "He knew I was afraid. But I can't let that stop me. We're finally doing it. We're creating the shield."

He looked out the window at the stars, knowing that in ten months, he would be standing on the front lines of a ritual that would either save the world or claim his life. He picked up his pen and began to calculate.

Winter was coming. And with it, the hardest training of his life.

Now its time for problem and its solution.
