Around two hours before Siegfrieds party began their main Battles Siegfried found himself in trouble with a very preculiar species of creature,interesting them so much that he had been chased across a forest of trees.
When Siegfried had grown tired of being chased by the Asura monkeys he turned around finally standing his ground to face the onslaught,the light from the artificial suns permeated through the green leaves creating a Beautiful scene.
Infact at this point the Asura monkeys themselves were not Siegfrieds biggest conscern anymore,because he had realised that such a large group of similar looking organisms attacking him only meant one thing.
A chieftain was nearby.
Siegfried had already gone through this logic in his head so he thought to himself," How do I draw out the chieftain,should I beat up its minions or should I get captured after putting up a fight".
Asura monkeys had a tendency of bringing strong prey back alive to their leaders as a Gift, these creatures loved,and enjoyed competition amongst themselves strength was all that mattered in this patriachal society so the leaders gaining an opportunity to showcase that strength was greatly admired.
Siegfried uttered two words mentally before he immediately placed his feet together in a rectangular manner,and clenched.
" Boom step".
Seeing that Siegfried had stopped running,so in excitement like a falling wave the Asura monkeys jumped from the trees heights to swarm,and dismember this interesting prey some having large club like bones in hand as blunt weapons.
Straighter than a canonball,and more explosive than a Rocket Siegfried launched off the ground meeting the jumping Asura monkeys mid air before they could descend he immediately delivered an explosive spin kick that caused a sound similar to a sonic boom when the kick the moment the kick dug into the Asura monkeys body reducing most of it to mince meat as its other body parts collided with its fellow apes.
This was just the beginning of his performance.
The remaining Asura monkeys had a confused ,frightened look,using this brief period,Siegfried jumped at another monkey using both hands to pull at its hairs,causing great pain.
He corked back both his legs slamming them in in its mid section this time with less force but still enough to slam it to the ground with enough force to genetate a crater,and cause the ground to shake around this time many Asura monkeys had already fallen to ground due to the laws of gravity.
Boom step was a movement technique used by the beast tribe it allowed the user to artificially generate shockwaves as they moved,even directing those shockwaves towards their opponents,also allowed its users to somewhat jump on air using it as a platform.
It involved concentrating mana threw the feet ,and precise muscle twitching movement,although it was easier to generate when moving at hypersonic speed,when moving faster the booms were generated using by adding air magic,and blastic mana out of ones feet.
Siegfried used this exact skill to perfection targeting the more experienced Asura monkeys still on the trees branches who had not carelessly jumped down.
Two of them carried large club like bones,and jumped to attack him so he punched them both in the face one after the other each with enough force to send them flying,and tumbling through multiple lines of trees.
He then jumped on a bald elders head for a split second,and bent down his knees then jumped off,the force alone compressed the elders body sending it vertically straight through the ground generating a crater.
Using the last elders head as a platform Siegfried pounced on the final Asura monkey using his grip to grap at its face specifically the forehead area to the point it physically left an entire hands imprint.
He then dragged it while holding its face through the forests trees while continuosly using boom step.
After it had died Siegfried realised he had moved a long way from the troop ,this was not part of his plan,and he had infact gotten carried away so he climed on one of the taller trees that towered over the rest,and waited for the asura monkeys to arrive.
Siegfried posted himself on one of the branches of the large tree, in Anger the Asura monkeys arrived then split in two groups where one group grabbed the other groups feet spinning then flinging them towards Siegfried who was at a higher elevation with their large club like bones in hand.
The attack began the flung Asura monkeys as they were flung past the tree would spin then use one set of hands to grib at the trees bark with their sharp Claw like nails flinging themselves towards the top bat in hand.
Siegfried waited until enough of them had been flung onto the tree,before starting stage two he bunched the closest one to him causing it to ricochet off the bodies of its fellow primates as it tumbled down.
Siegfried allowed himself to be gradually overwhelmed as the Asura monkeys threw hard Rocks or spat pellets of naturally formed hardened rocks on him,using mana he increased his durability as the asura monkeys gathered with their club like bones hitting him with continuous barrages they began playing baseball with his body sending him flying from one Asura monkey to the other.
It was an entire 12 minutes of being ricocheted he then passed out before they finally brought him down,and began celebrating profusely by beating their chests while making nonsensical high pitched noises.
An hour later Siegfried woke up,and just as he thought everything went according to plan although his plan forced him to endure waking up in the uncomfortable situation of having almost his entire body covered in makeshift rope tieing up his hands,and feet.
The Assura Monkeys slammed their chests parading as they paraded him around he woke up just in time to witness this scene.
The main home of this troop was surrounded by tall trees sporting makeshift huts,swings,and vines when Siegfried had woken up he saw female Asura monkeys looking down from high above with tears in their eyes.
Female Assura monkeys only had one set of arms,they were thinner,but had longer arms,and more powerful claws.
They also had the tendency of being bigger than their male counterparts making them slower atleast interms of running speed,while not exactly being monogamous in nature themselves.
Siegfried was eventually dragged to a certain spot deep within the camp, and at its centre was a massive throne of bones,and sitting on it was a single patriarch.
It's sheer size required Siegfried to look up even as it sat down,Its gold eyes looked down on Siegfried unleashing its emmense Aura.
In appearance the chieftain had muscles layered over muscles,with the physique of a brawler,and a staggering height of slightly over 7 metres tall while standing.
The creature was red skinned,sporting a wide frame,and ingraved on its skin were symbols of fire carved on the beasts very flesh,its two horns curved backwards,while the tusks of its mouth pointed straight out like that of a vampire.
It's third eye was completely blackened out, appearing as it was a black gem on its forehead,it's claws large,and devastating,and unlike it's kind it only had two arms.
Around its neck were the skulls of those it had killed,and around its wrists,and ankles were gold bangles the bangles on its wrists had chains attached to them as well.
On its waist,it wore a Mawashi covered by a green skirt that was edged with Gold lining,and held tightly by an ornate waist sashe.
A strange heat from its body spurted out when it finally stood up crossing its hands,the bangles burned with intense heat.
This Apex had a chest like boulders,and muscles like canon balls,it's strands were like tight iron,blood and heat seemed to be pumped throughout its body.
The crowd of Asura monkeys gathered screaming as they shouted in excitement seeking retribution,and to humiliate their captor.
Stomps,and all times of noises like the slamming of the bone clubs,and their chests this seemed to begin a sort of ceremony as the chieftain began to stretch,and show off his body.
The symbols of fire carved on its body glowed like rippling molted Gold or the venomous spilling of magma from down under into the surface.
It streams flowed as an aura began to permeate throughout the chieftains entire body,its golden eyes corking back as it bent its waist.
The lower Asura monkeys removed the restraints on Siegfrieds body,Siegfried smirked before spitting out blood ," So your the big boss,I thought you would be bigger",he said in a confident tone.
The chieftains ears twitched,it then looked to its left,and right before speaking," My name is wrath do with it as you wish,now say your last words before we do Battle".
Siegfried smirked again," last words are for the dead,and I don't plan to die,Mr poopy butcheeks".
Wraths eyebrows narrowed," what did you say?",Siegfried gave a confused look before replying," you must be new to the language you said I could do whatever I want with your name so it's only fair I change it a bit for some".
Then something unexpected began to happen the chieftain began to laugh while slowly squatting placing one fist down towards the ground creating a crater he then looked straight at Siegfried," So your a clown are you,good because I ate the last one".
Although the Asura monkeys did not understand the language the vibe itself caused them to cheer.
Seconds later Siegfried finally stood up,Wrath smiled," you've said your last words now time to die ",it said with a grin.
Siegfried held out his hand," wait a minute he said!",wrath was a bit confused Siegfried then immediately approached then spoke," Im just saying for your own good,a battle between you,and I will just cause endless property damage,and when you lose how will you save face infront of your own people",Siegfried said all of this with a cheeky tone.
While knowing that at that moment he toed the line between life,and death.
But at the same time he knew that in a dual Asura monkeys were all for fair play,and would not attack before the opponent was ready its to the point,that there have been cases when chieftains left their prey alone for days until ready for Battle,and when they refused the chieftain would call off the dual,and would just kill its prey.
But the point was that along as this was a dual,he could afford to do this in the beginning stages,wraths movements halted as its head, Siegfried continued," The best we can do while respecting both of our intelligence is giving me a head start of atleast 30ish or so seconds,what do say".
Siegfried smile hearing no answer as the next moment he bolted off jumping from tree to tree so fast that he left blurry images.
The other Asura monkeys did not chase knowing well a dual was in place they refused to interfere but now the difference was the drumming,and the shouts became deeper.
The chieftain stood on one knee,one arm firmly planted the other resting on his left hand side,the aura around him was contained but grew deeper it was clear this chieftains wrath had reached a boiling point.
And After thirty or so seconds,Wrath vanished from his position without saying a single word but unlike Siegfried he left a Sonic boom devastating enough it destroyed his own throne along with creating a crater,causing the trees surrounding it to shake,and bend.
Siegfried tried to find an open space he knew very well that a fight in the woods could provide an advantage he did not want giving to his foe.
But seconds later near him something fell from the sky although he managed to react in time jumping in the sky the shockwave still made him tremble.
But even in the air he wasn't safe,wrath jumped in the air making them a few 10s of metres apart,but it was still covered in smoke,so from Siegfrieds perspective although he noticed a shift within the dust cloud two radiant chains appeared out of knowhere rapping around his waist,spinning him then slamming him into the ground.
Siegfrieds cape had been burnt away by the attack,leading him to pull out his shield,and sword set,the shield was named trust while the short sword was named hope,noth were named so due to their cooperative abilities.
Like a falling mountain,and as quick as lightning,Wrath jumped from the sky while performing a vertical spin in the air,the crash caused chunks of stone to fly up which it then threw at Siegfried who proceeded to cut each one,and parry them with his blade while approaching shield in hand.
But this would not be the case for long as wrath would close the distance immediately unleashing a single punch to Siegfrieds Ribs,but fortunately he was capable of reacting in time placing his shield infront of trajectory of the punch the force of the punch alone destroyed the ground beneath them for several meters sending Siegfried flying.
At the moment of contact all sound had stopped for Siegfried the world seemed blurry Almoat illusory before a huge crash nocking him back to his senses.
By using his blade stabbing it into the ground he managed to stop himself from being flung into more debree," if thats how your going to fight with this level of violence,hehhh.. what do you think of the beast tribe!!".
Siegfried said so as he threw his triangular shaped shield with great force forcing Wrath to dodge,he then closed the distance his blade gained a bright glow before he attacked,somehow the force produced by the swing alone was unimaginable, destroying an entire section of the forest to wraths surprise.
This was due to the properties of trust,and hope trust took damage directed towards the shield,while hope Absorbed the power from the impact generating it into a future attack they were A grade weapons for this reason.
Wrath smiled as he was flung through trees,it then completed a 360 blackflip to regain his footing," Hmm I sense my power in that attack",he said.
The next moment he jumped covering a huge distance landing a few metres away from Siegfried,crossing its arms,and tempting Siegfried to attack.
And Siegfried took said opportunity his fighting style was as aggressive as a beast,he crouched down then pounced forward," Boom step dome formation".
This time Siegfried surrounded the creature bouncing from onevspot to another increasing in velocity,and speed so much so it caused the shield to burn as if it was reentering our atmosphere,this extra power was also absorbed by hope.
Siegfried used tite turns to land attack after attack,but each time the point where the attack landed would have already hardened as if it was petrified such terrifying ability," it must be a natural evolution of the petrification spit",Siegfried guessed correctly.
Every time he moved Wraths eyes constantly darted,so when he least expected it a punch launched at Siegfrieds face he used the shield,his legs buckled under the sheer weight.
He then manipulated wraths descending weight side stepped then with the Absorbed energy from Trust,fueled hope with his own power as wrath tumbled forward from the momentum Siegfried landed the first critical strike unleashing a powerful blast of power resulting in a crooked vertical slash of blood to appear on the creatures upper body.
Wrath smiled,Siegfrieds attack left him defenseless before he could regain his gaurd,wrath increased its speed finger flicking Siegfried with enough force to send him twirling in the air.
This attack would have been enough to dislocat his neck,and completely crush his skull if not for the fact of Siegfrieds immense mana control.
Wrath followed this up,with a punch to the gut that pushed Siegfried away forced him to coff out blood from his mouth but before Siegfried could hit the ground wrath used its chains to pull him back towards the air grabbed him by the face attempting to slam his head into the ground.
Siegfried saw this outcome,used," boom step",to create a footing mid air also to spin the two around switching their position mid air so that Siegfried faces Wraths face using,boom step again putting most of his power into it this time.
Siegfried corked back his legs,and kicked with all his might towards the midsection,an explosive booming sound manifested from the force of the double kick hitting Wraths guts,the shockwave produced was enough to clear the trees alone,causing the air to ripple,and shake.
Wraths body alone hit the ground leaving behind a burning crater,and completely destroying the nearby forest,the intense explosion from its impact blew Siegfried out of the vicinity.
Using his connection with his weapons Siegfried was able to summon them through the void then returned them.
Siegfried knew that the creature he had just put down,would come back stronger,and angrier so he would have to do the same.
A monsters evolution into a humanoid form happens when the mana weakens the monstrous traights to gain more intelligent or practical traights.
Similarly the reverse could occur,and the beast tribe specialized in such a technique called beast transformation,where the opposite would occur suppressing certain traights to gain more strength,and beastial power with a draw back of losing one's mind ofcourse.
Siegfried licked his blood,and held his chest as his heart beat faster,his wolf like ears twitched,as he began to grow prominent fangs,and claws his body became bulkier," Dammit this is still the max amount of strength,I can bring out without losing control completely".
An aura of strength enveloped his body,he them looked at his gauntlets," My trump card,is still these gloves,even when suppressed to becoming A rank they were still formerly S rank so the quality should still show".
Siegfried readied himself in a boxing stance,meanwhile,wrath jumped up from within the crator then fire began to shape itself beneath wraths feet that then formed spinning wheels of fire,that rotated at such a high speed it granted flight.
The climax of the battle began as both headed towards each other,the chieftain kept on repeating a single word," fun,fun,fun",it was ecstatic few feelings could compare to it," bring me more!!!",it shouted.
Siegfrieds guantlets enlarged in size by at least 10 times making them seem overweight,seconds later the two clashed,meeting with their fists at the centre matching each other fist for fist,and blow for blow, every clash released powerful shockwaves,and were the equivalent of two missiles colliding.
Eventually Wrath resulted to flinging its chains,"up down,summersault, move in",these were the words,that appeared in Siegfrieds mind.
This time the two clashed again,but the last moment the gauntlets knuckle turned into an Axe,chopping off some of Wraths fingers,yulangs second hand transformed into large claws it moved through the air slashing at Wraths torso but it hardened avoiding major damage.
The apes smile faded,unleashing a barrage of blows atleast two hundred within the span of a minute,Siegfrieds bones were fracturing,the guantlets changed form again developing sharp edges like stakes in Anger wrath punched into them causing it great pain.
It backed off from Siegfried,using this opportunity Siegfried launched an attack," Beastial move higher order Roar!",an attack that weaponised sound causing the Ears to bleed but despite irritation Wrath did not react much infact it flew to the sky.
Large Rings developed from thin air,that began to spin intensely,and hardened when formed wrath began to kick each one with such speed,and power all Siegfried could do was take the attack.
When they touched the guantlet they would continue to spin,and cause friction while more rings fell from sky,the gauntlets constant change in shape could not save him from the onslaught,Siegfrieds mana supply was running empty his technique was incredibly efficient at mana usage but this was too much.
" I'm running all outta gas".
A final ring was formed,and placed horizontally above the skies,at its centre fire began to centralise into a beam,the chieftain smiled thinking of its victory.
Blood ran down from Siegfrieds head,nose,and even covered his eyes he could barely see,but before it launched he took out trust,and hope one last time.
He was Surely going to die but the system of this inclosed world refused to act in his defense,the reason was simple,it reacted not just to impossible deadly situations but the will of the student to keep on fighting.
Their was a final reason using a probabilistic model,it calculated every scenario up to this point,and saw one winning strategy.
The blade was lodged near Siegfrieds foot,while he carried the shield overhead along with the gauntlets,it turned into liquid metal that seeped into trust in lagging it,covering it ,and spreading its defense.
The beam hit,and it was a struggle of will power the heat was hot enough to vaporize stone yet by exerting mana he could hang on for a bit,his feet could barely stand,each tear would turn to vapor,the shield began to crack burn marks began to appear on his face,and arms.
His earlier transformation was becoming undone,his muscles smaller his fangs,and claws shorter his leftover instincts dimmer.
Eventually his silhouette had completely vanished with the beam of fire,and after a few more moments.
The Chieftain itself crashed,and falling on its knees panting heavily.
The crater it had made was over 100 metres wide.
Yet something climbed out,no it was,"someone".
Siegfried had been hanging from the edge,prior to that the shield had completely enveloped him into a bubble protecting him from the fire,it's metalic alloy changing its properties to cool down the heat.
Beaten,and barely moving,his arms almost completely shattered,and now he used the gauntlets as a type of cast,allowing to manually move his arms.
He approached as slow as possible due to lacking energy himself,on the other hand the chieftain could not hear him due to its own panting,and lack of breath its eyes faced down.
Then a strange golden yellow light shot out,from Siegfrieds wrists which had runes surrounding it,landing into wraths chest,the chieftain then noticed slightly lifting up its head.
And on its neck was a glowing short sword.
It's eyes looked up in fear.
And seconds later it was looking up at its master.
