Patrick stared at the screen with a stern expression, his voice steady and resolute as he gave the order.
"Fire!"
The two words left Patrick's lips.
Following the firing procedure, the soldier activated GENESIS. With the press of the launch button,
GENESIS began its operation!
The energy released from within was refracted through mirrors, ultimately forming an immensely wide-coverage Gamma-ray beam.
The scene of the firing was transmitted to the control room, where everyone was stunned by the coverage range of GENESIS's Gamma-ray beam.
'Is this GENESIS?'
Aprilius City District 1
Ezalia's Office
Watching the scene of GENESIS's firing on the screen before her, Ezalia stared wide-eyed, her mouth slightly agape, unable to utter a sound for a long time.
After a moment of silence, a communication chime pulled Ezalia back to reality.
Seeing the incoming call, Ezalia answered it.
"What is it, Amalfi?"
"Joule, was that Zala's trump card just now?"
Yuri's voice came through the speaker.
Ezalia looked at Yuri on the communication screen, nodded calmly, and then said firmly,
"With such an attack, the Earth Alliance will have to reconsider their negotiations with us. Victory is near!"
Hearing Ezalia's response, a trace of concern appeared on Yuri's face as he voiced his worry,
"I hope Zala doesn't misuse it!"
Ezalia replied calmly to Yuri's concern,
"Zala knows his limits."
Yuri fell silent after hearing this, merely giving Ezalia a calm glance before ending the communication.
Bridge of the Earth Alliance Forces Combined Fleet Flagship
"Commander, a high-energy heat source is heading toward the Moon!"
A hurried and somewhat uneasy voice reported from a soldier.
Hearing the report, Thurman's expression instantly turned serious as he issued the order,
"Evade!"
After uttering the two words, Thurman continued,
"Order all units to take cover!"
"Yes!"
Came the simultaneous reply from the helmsman and communications officer.
The moment the command was relayed, GENESIS's radiance had already reached the Moon.
It swept through the initial coverage area.
All Earth Alliance Forces MS and battleships within this zone failed to escape.
Explosions erupted one after another within the brilliance of GENESIS.
Eternal Bridge
Lacus watched the situation on the screen, her eyes wide with shock, her body involuntarily rising from her seat.
Staring blankly at everything, she was unable to speak a word.
Lacus wasn't alone in this reaction; Kira, Athrun, Murrue, and the others all displayed similar astonishment.
"Is this the power of GENESIS?"
Andrew, relatively calmer, murmured with a lingering fear in his voice.
Hearing Andrew's words, Lacus snapped out of her shock, sat back down, and asked,
"What are our losses?"
"We followed the intelligence provided by Aric and evaded in time. There are no losses," Andrew replied, turning to glance at Lacus before reporting.
At this point, Andrew paused briefly before continuing.
"However, the Earth Alliance Forces didn't fully trust our warnings, resulting in a significant portion of their forces entering the coverage area. These units have been completely destroyed!"
Hearing this, a trace of sorrow flickered across Lacus's brow before vanishing quickly as she made a decision.
"Disengage from the lunar battlefield!"
"Miss Clyne, are you planning to destroy this weapon?" Andrew guessed upon hearing the withdrawal order.
Lacus glanced at Andrew and nodded seriously. "Correct!"
Hearing these two words, Andrew asked no further questions and relayed the command to all personnel.
"Received!"
Kira and Athrun's voices came through the speakers.
The Freedom Gundam and Justice Gundam standing on the battlefield quickly turned and began moving away from the combat zone.
Athena Bridge
"Captain, the Eternal group is withdrawing from the battlefield!" Oakley reported to Aric after observing the Eternal's movements.
Aric glanced at the situation displayed on the screen and spoke calmly. "Ignore the Eternal group. Take this opportunity to launch a fierce assault on the remaining Earth Alliance Forces!"
"Yes, sir!" Oakley responded in a booming voice.
Thurman's expression shifted from shock to anger and hatred. Suppressing his rage, he asked calmly, "What are our casualty figures?"
Hearing the question, Landon also restrained his anger and hatred before turning to report. "We lost nearly forty percent of our battleships in the recent attack, and the Mobile Suit Force suffered approximately fifty percent losses."
After reporting, Landon added, "Commander, if you hadn't insisted on cautious pursuit, we might have lost over eighty percent of our forces in this attack."
"Bastards!"
Hearing this addition, Thurman thought back to his earlier decision and growled angrily.
The curse was directed both at PLANT and himself!
Watching Thurman's barely contained anger and hatred, Landon's own red eyes uncontrollably revealed his inner emotions.
Just then, a communication came through.
Hearing the comm signal, Thurman suppressed his emotions and reached out to accept the call.
Richard's face appeared on the screen, his voice coming through the speakers. "Thurman, what are our casualty numbers?"
"Nearly half our forces were wiped out in that attack!" Thurman reported to Richard.
Richard momentarily froze upon hearing this, his grave expression mixing with anger and hatred, though he struggled to maintain calm in his voice. "Lead the forces in retreat. Withdraw to the vicinity of Ptolemy Military Base for defense!"
"Yes, sir!" Thurman saluted and responded.
As soon as the response was given, the communication ended.
Looking at the terminated call, Thurman turned to Landon. "Issue the orders!"
"Yes, sir!"
Felix was listening to Aric's situation report. After hearing everything, Felix stated, "Continue pursuing the Earth Alliance Forces. Simultaneously order Phipps and the others to commence their operation."
"Understood!"
The two words came from Aric's mouth.
Felix nodded, then ended the communication.
Gazing at the space ahead, Felix murmured to himself with determined eyes.
"No matter what Patrick has in mind, we must secure control of GENESIS!"
With that, Felix continued piloting the Genesis Gundam at high speed!
