Chapter 251 - Chapter 251: Koyuki Affected by Parasites

Chapter 251: Koyuki Affected by Parasites

The Queen Parasite also needed time to grow.

That was something Kenichi had not expected. To be honest, he had been thinking that once the implantation succeeded, he could immediately have Koyuki produce a batch of small parasites for experiments.

"…So you're saying you can already hold a simple conversation with her?" Kenichi raised an eyebrow.

Overnight, the Queen Parasite had already developed to that stage.

It grew incredibly fast and seemed to possess decent intelligence. Kenichi could not tell whether that was because it had parasitized Koyuki or due to some other factor, but either way, he was satisfied.

Compared to a subordinate with no brain who only followed orders, a subordinate capable of independent thought was far better. At the very least, it reduced the chance of a mission failing due to some unforeseen situation.

And with an intelligent Queen Parasite, managing the smaller parasites would likely become much easier as well.

The only issue was its loyalty.

Its loyalty to him was too high, so high that even Kenichi felt uncomfortable. Worse, Koyuki's gaze toward him had started to feel… strange.

"Yes, Lord Amemiya." Koyuki spoke respectfully, her eyes burning with earnest intensity as she looked at Kenichi. "Sayu told me she still needs some time to grow before she can start producing other companions."

Kenichi's mouth twitched.

So it was true. In the early hours of the morning, he had finished implanting the parasite into Koyuki. Since she was young and clearly needed rest, he had let her sleep while he returned to his own room.

This morning, he had come back to check on her condition and ask about the parasite's state.

He never expected that in the few hours he slept, the parasite would not only grow but even give itself a name.

Sayu.

Just hearing it made it obvious the name was related to him. It was a blatant display of how devoted and deferential the Queen Parasite was.

But that was not the main issue.

The main issue was Koyuki herself.

Her attitude toward him had shifted. Before, it had been gratitude toward the man who saved her. Now, Kenichi could not shake the feeling that she looked at him like a child looking at a guardian, mixed with an unsettling sense of dependence.

If the parasitism lasted longer, would Koyuki be increasingly assimilated by the Queen Parasite?

Still, from another angle, that was not necessarily bad. At the very least, Kenichi would not have to worry about loyalty. If both the Queen Parasite and Koyuki were completely loyal to him, then one day, even the entire Land of Snow could fall under his influence.

What pleased him most, however, was that Koyuki did not seem to realize anything was off. She still retained a high degree of autonomy.

It was not like that remastered game Kenichi had played before transmigrating, where being parasitized meant losing most of your self control. That difference mattered. If the Queen Parasite had to issue commands for everything, it would be discovered quickly.

And if something like that spread, it could easily trigger another Shinobi World War.

Kenichi scratched his head. "Then there's no rush. Just live normally for now."

He had originally intended to begin research today, but from the current situation, it seemed parasite research would have to wait.

When it was time, he could return to the Land of Snow and start his plan properly.

He did not want to interfere with the Queen Parasite's growth either. Forcing growth was not an option.

For now, Kenichi planned to leave the Land of Snow first. After that, he would discuss matters with his teacher and see whether Konoha had any unusual intentions regarding the Hyuga.

If Konoha did, all the better. He could obtain something ready made.

Kenichi fell into thought. He had originally planned to obtain a Byakugan through the hands of the Third Hokage and Danzo, but after considering it further, he remembered that the Hyuga's Byakugan also varied in quality.

In the end, he decided he would acquire a Byakugan personally.

His target was direct and clear: Hinata, the Hyuga girl with the purest bloodline.

Kenichi had no intention of gouging out Hinata's eyes. He did not need to go that far. A tiny tissue sample would be enough.

He could even obtain a single cell from Hinata's eye and extract the information he needed. If he wanted a complete genetic profile, collecting blood would not be difficult either.

"So, in that case, I have to go back to Konoha." Kenichi made up his mind.

Hinata's Byakugan was the one that mattered. Others had proven its quality already. The eyes of most Hyuga were simply not on her level. In a sense, Hinata could be considered a genius.

It was just that her personality caused her to miss the best training period, which later widened the gap between her and Naruto.

Once he decided, Kenichi returned to his teacher's residence.

The mission in the Land of Snow was settled. The special metal from the Land of Snow had also been obtained. It was time to leave.

"Orochimaru," Kenichi heard his teacher's voice.

His teacher was sitting beside the bed, sipping tea while looking out the window.

"Kenichi. Amado." Orochimaru's eyes remained calm. "How do you plan to arrange him?"

Kenichi's nose twitched. He always felt there was a strange smell lingering in the air. Still, he understood what Orochimaru meant.

He was asking whether Amado should be sent to the Akatsuki.

Kenichi pondered for a moment before answering.

"Teacher, I think Mr. Amado can stay with us first," he said quietly. "As for Akatsuki, there's no need for him to join."

Akatsuki was useful, but in the end, it was only a pawn. And based on what Kenichi planned to do in the future, Akatsuki was too small.

Nagato's ideals also conflicted with his own.

Unless Kenichi could persuade Nagato and have him and Konan work for him instead.
