[ThankYou]: Thank you Arash for that sky-piercing arrow!

[Finally]: WE FINALLY TOOK IT DOWN! I genuinely thought we were about to get team-wiped!

[Nervous]: I wasn't even this nervous when Chen Ge was fighting earlier!

[Movie]: Given this quality level, Max, have you considered making an actual movie or TV series? Your production value completely CRUSHES those terrible shows! I'm absolutely sick of watching garbage!

[Support]: Support! This MUST be supported!

[Yeah]: Yeah, those shows charging $5000 for terrible CGI—they really have the audacity!

[Stop]: Alright everyone stop, don't ruin the game experience for others with off-topic chat.

[Grateful]: Thank god, this is one of the few group battles where we didn't lose ANYONE! I genuinely thought we'd lose at least one or two Servants!

[TrueArcher]: Yeah, thankfully Maverick's team took down Archer's Master earlier. Otherwise if Arash had a proper Master supplying him with mana, his power would be absolutely broken! Those two arrows were more satisfying than any double-kill combo!

[Contribution]:Sigh, Maverick's only real contribution was taking out that Master. It feels like those two were just messing around the whole time.

[Defense]: Don't talk nonsense! Weren't they dueling with Astolfo's Master the entire match?

[Screenshots]: Exactly! I even screenshotted their intense expressions to use as couple profile pictures!

[Shipping]: The fanart potential is STRONG with this one!

As the pitch-black flames of vengeance finally ignited and consumed Vritra's exposed dragon heart completely—

Vritra's mountain-like colossal body crashed down to the earth with earth-shaking impact.

Immediately following the dragon's collapse, it was like opening massive floodgates.

The river channel that had been completely blocked by Vritra's enormous bulk suddenly reopened, and life-giving water began flooding across the parched, drought-stricken land.

However, unlike the absolutely jubilant streaming audience celebrating in chat and the cheering teammates on-site—

Max's face showed absolutely no joy or relief whatsoever.

Instead, his expression was filled with grim solemnity and mounting concern.

Something's wrong.

That's right. Logically speaking, with Vritra decisively defeated and her Spirit Core destroyed, the artificial sun blazing in the sky should have immediately dimmed and disappeared.

But the fundamental problem was that the oppressive temperature hadn't changed even slightly. And Vritra's massive draconic body hadn't begun dissipating into golden particles like a normal defeated Servant.

Instead, the corpse just lay there completely motionless and solid.

Hmm. Something's definitely not right here.

Ten out of ten, something is VERY not right.

However, just as Max was preparing to voice his concerns and investigate further—

The black flames of his Edmond Dantès transformation suddenly flickered and died.

Max's transformation timer had reached its absolute critical limit at that exact moment.

And the violent ground tremors that followed, showing absolutely no mercy, brutally interrupted everyone's premature celebration.

The surging river water was once again completely blocked by an impossible obstacle.

That's right.

It was Vritra.

Vritra had stood back up.

The catastrophic wounds covering her massive body began healing at a visibly accelerating speed, flesh and scales regenerating until everything returned to perfect condition.

Then, under everyone's absolutely incredulous and horrified gazes—

Vritra, moving exactly like a stage magician performing an impossible escape act, raised her dragon head high and burst into booming, echoing laughter:

"Indeed! Humans truly do possess infinite possibilities and potential!

You actually managed to KILL me! Although I am merely a dragon and not a god, you should still be immensely proud of that accomplishment!

But if THIS is all you've got? It's still FAR from enough! If ordinary humans could permanently kill me, this trial would have ended ages ago!

But you are HEROES! Even if you're merely shadows of the past and echoes of greater legends—if this pathetic display is your absolute limit, it's NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGH!

Come on! Continue attacking me with everything you have!

OVERCOME THIS TRIAL OF MINE!"

As if deliberately adding even more unbearable pressure on Max's exhausted team—

With Vritra's roaring declaration ending, the already scorching hellish ground became even MORE unbearably hot.

If the previous 122°F (50°C) temperature had still barely allowed some hardy forms of life to survive in sheltered areas—

The current 140°F (60°C) was already entering a forbidden zone that living beings could hardly even touch without suffering severe burns.

[Fake]: This is FAKE right?! Her heart was completely blown up! Logically her Spirit Core should have exploded too! WHY CAN SHE REVIVE?!

[Drake]: EXACTLY! Our Captain Drake is a literal STAR PIONEER! Why couldn't SHE survive when her heart was destroyed?!

[Terrifying]: This is too terrifying! This is just a pure dragon species! I can't even IMAGINE how ridiculously strong an actual divine spirit would be if they descended!

[Reasonable]: After all, she's an entity that fought against Indra—the fourth-ranked god in Hindu mythology—for countless years. This level of power is actually pretty reasonable given her legend.

[Point]: That's NOT the point! The point is she can revive INFINITELY! What's even the point of fighting then?!

[TimeUp]: It's over. Max's transformation time is up too.

[Despair]: We're doomed.

Looking at the mounting confusion and despair flooding the chat, Max's innate 'True Name Discernment' skill activated once again.

Through Medea's telepathic communication link, everyone on the team finally understood exactly WHY Vritra could revive from complete death.

'Ever-Indestructible Demon: EX'

This wasn't classified as Vritra's Noble Phantasm.

This was Vritra's innate passive skill—a fundamental aspect of her very existence and legend.

As Indra's eternal mortal enemy and conceptual opposite, Vritra had naturally been defeated by the storm god Indra countless times throughout mythology and slain by him repeatedly.

Because she represented drought and was a demon opposing the gods, she would inevitably be slain by divine forces.

However, the relationship between these two entities was exactly like the cyclical relationship between the dry season and the rainy season in nature.

As long as Indra continued to exist as a concept, Vritra would never truly die permanently.

Just like how natural phenomena and seasonal cycles continued eternally regardless of human intervention.

The gods that ancient humans revered and worshipped might have simply been personifications of natural forces from the very beginning.

Therefore, Vritra—who brought devastating drought wherever she manifested—was the Ever-Indestructible Demon by her very nature.

Her conceptual indestructibility had crystallized into this EX-rank Battle Continuation skill, which could stand on equal footing with even the legendary King Hassan's persistence.

Even if her Spirit Core was completely shattered into fragments, as long as her Master's contract remained unbroken and magical energy could still be continuously supplied—

Vritra would revive endlessly, countless times, forever.

Unless she herself willingly chose to give up on revival and accept true death.

But that was clearly and obviously impossible given her nature.

This fundamental problem was precisely why Max had initially formulated the battle plan to eliminate Kenneth the Master first, rather than attempting to kill Vritra directly.

Because he hadn't been completely certain whether this specific dragon possessed this particular legendary skill or not.

But circumstances had shifted, and in the chaotic end, the plan had transformed into attempting to kill Vritra through overwhelming force.

The facts now proved decisively that relying on pure luck was absolutely not a viable strategy.

After listening to Max's grim explanation transmitted through the team channel, both the streaming chat and everyone on the other end of the communication link fell into absolutely deathly silence.

If facing Vritra before had been difficult but had still offered at least a slim glimmer of hope for victory—

Now it represented complete and utter despair.

[NotGod]: You're not even a GOD! Why are you THIS broken?!

[Unfair]: This is completely unfair game design!

[Broken]: NERF THIS BOSS!

"We were holding you back this entire time." Maverick's voice carried genuine regret through the link.

"Don't say that, Maverick. I also share responsibility for not communicating all known intel beforehand," Max replied firmly. "And Kenneth is clearly well-prepared for this exact scenario. Currently, we can probably rule out Vritra's body as a hiding spot completely. So the remaining viable location is somewhere beneath the earth."

"In that case, Mr. Astolfo and I will take responsibility for attracting Vritra's aggro and fire, while Miss Shuten explores underground!" Lily's young voice rang out with determination.

"No problem on my end. But that prissy little fairy over there needs to provide me with some supplemental magical energy," Shuten-douji said pointedly. "As you Masters can clearly observe, MY Master refuses to waste his precious Command Seals on actually supporting me."

"Hmph. You crafty fox-demon is getting off easy," Medea muttered, but began channeling energy anyway.

"Well then, Astolfo, I'm truly counting on you now. Please use that Noble Phantasm you mentioned earlier—the one that can force opponents to fall down," Chen Ge said earnestly.

"HMPH! You think of me NOW?! But I'm ANGRY!" Astolfo pouted dramatically. "Unless Master apologizes to me properly AND promises to take me on a date for ice cream afterward, I will absolutely NOT agree to help!"

"My sincere apologies, Astolfo. I shouldn't have doubted your capabilities or judgment," Chen Ge said immediately. "As for your requested compensation, I will DEFINITELY fulfill it after this battle concludes successfully."

"Hmm~ Then I suppose I'll reluctantly help you all out this time~" Astolfo said with obvious satisfaction.

The counterattack was about to begin.
