"Hoo~ That feels amazing. It's like putting on brand new underwear on New Year's morning. So damn refreshing!"

With that final devastating punch, the evil dragon Vritra officially exited the stage.

Golden particles swirled around Beowulf's muscular frame as the dragon's massive form began to dissolve into motes of light. The Dragon Slayer himself wore an expression of pure, almost childlike satisfaction—the kind of contentment that only came from a truly spectacular fight.

It was the expression of a man who had done exactly what he was born to do.

And what a fight it had been. Beowulf's knuckles were raw, his muscles ached in ways they hadn't in centuries, and he was pretty sure he'd cracked at least two ribs somewhere in the middle of that brawl. But none of that mattered.

He'd won.

He'd destroyed.

The sound of a motorcycle engine cut through the post-battle silence. Moments later, William Zhang came tearing down the slope on his bike, arriving at the scene just as the last traces of Vritra faded away.

"Uncle Beowulf! Are you alright?!"

The boy practically threw himself off the motorcycle, sliding down the dirt embankment toward his Servant with reckless abandon.

"Hey, hey, hey—" Beowulf caught him at the bottom of the slope, steadying the kid before he could faceplant into the rubble. "I remember telling you to watch the battle from somewhere safe. Why the hell did you come running to the center of the battlefield? Lucky for you the fight's over, otherwise you'd be in serious danger."

"Even if there was danger," William said, looking up at Beowulf with absolute certainty in his eyes, "I know Uncle Beowulf would protect me."

"That's hard to say~" Beowulf's response came with a playful grin, but there was genuine warmth beneath the teasing tone. "This enemy was actually pretty formidable. And as you can see, I'm really, really exhausted right now..."

He wasn't lying, either.

As an opponent, Vritra had been genuinely powerful. Don't let the one-sided beatdown at the end fool you—that was only possible because of everyone's combined efforts.

If Beowulf had been forced to fight alone? He could have defeated Vritra maybe twice. Any more than that, and physical exhaustion combined with insufficient magical energy supply would have done him in.

And protecting his Master during such a battle? That would have been utterly impossible.

But in William's heart, all of this was merely Beowulf being humble.

The boy had been rushing toward the battlefield the entire time, nearly getting blown away by the shockwaves more than once. But as long as he could witness Beowulf's incredible display—a single human body taking on a mountain-sized dragon and winning—it had all been worth it.

Even the quietest boys have a restless Berserker dream burning in their hearts.

[Eye_Problems]: No, I'm gonna get a sty from this. Two dudes hugging it out like that, it feels like someone's messing with my head!

[Progressive_Patty]: What's wrong with that? Us girls can appreciate yuri, but you guys want to be all macho and then chicken out when the bromance is right in front of you

[Shipper_Supreme]: Exactly! This is prime content: a shy introvert and a confident extrovert, plus it's a rare mentor-student dynamic. I can only say, Max, you've done well!

[Voice_Of_Reason]: Sisters, maybe we shouldn't ship them. Just hearing that title "Uncle," you know the other person is literally a child

[Nostalgic_Nancy]: A child, huh~ I'm so jealous. Kids these days get to play full-dive VR. When I was that age, we were still playing... uh... questionable playground games?

[Confused_Carlos]: Huh???

[Touched_Tammy]: I didn't expect it, but it's really like Max said—this Beowulf looks fierce, but his heart is so gentle

[Strategic_Steve]: By the way, can Max actually attack a child? If he can't go after the Master, and Beowulf is this strong, how is Max's team supposed to win next?

[Unhinged_Uma]: If you really can't do it, let me take over. I'll one-shot every elementary schooler in sight

[Holy_Crap_1]: HOLY CRAP

[Holy_Crap_2]: HOLY CRAP

[Holy_Crap_3]: HOLY CRAP

Finally freed from the high-pressure battle, the chat had become noticeably more cheerful. People were joking around, shipping characters, making inappropriate comments—the usual post-victory celebration energy.

But good times never last.

With the sudden turn of events that followed, a wave of "HOLY CRAP" swept across Max's stream for an entirely different reason.

"By Command Seal, I command you! Shuten-douji—KILL THE BERSERKER'S MASTER!"

"WATCH OUT!"

No one saw it coming.

No one expected this.

Just when everyone thought they could finally take a breath—

Shuten-douji's figure blurred past Max in a flash of movement.

Her raised fingertip was aimed directly at William's back.

Beowulf's eyes went wide with fury, his relaxed posture instantly shifting into combat readiness. But the battle had just ended—that single moment of letting his guard down meant he couldn't intercept Shuten-douji in time.

In the end, all he could do was yank his Master aside and take the attack himself.

The impact hit him like a freight train.

Beowulf felt something being drained from his body—not blood, not magical energy, but something deeper. Something fundamental. Before he could even process what was happening, an indescribable crushing weight caused his body to collapse directly to the ground.

This was a body that had stood firm through countless legendary battles.

Now it crumpled like wet paper.

"What... what are you DOING?!"

William's scream tore through the air as he watched his Servant fall.

"This concubine..."

Shuten-douji's voice was strained, conflicted—but she couldn't finish her sentence.

Although Lily hadn't been fast enough to stop the initial attack, she could still prevent a follow-up assault.

Roaring with righteous fury, the young Saber launched herself at Shuten-douji in a single explosive bound.

Shuten-douji, sensing the incoming blade, executed a nimble backflip and landed on the other side of the massive crater Beowulf had created earlier.

The object in her hand made everyone in the chat lose their minds.

It was a skeleton.

A clear, crystalline skeleton—unmistakably pulled from a living being.

Beowulf's skeleton.

She had literally ripped the skeletal structure right out of his body. One of her oni abilities—and one of the most horrifying things the viewers had ever witnessed.

[WHAT_THE_FUCK]: HOLY CRAP

[SCREAMING]: HOLY CRAP

[DEAD_INSIDE]: HOLY CRAP WHAT

[Medical_Mike]: Wait can you even SURVIVE without a skeleton???

[Terrified_Terry]: SERVANTS ARE BUILT DIFFERENT BUT STILL WTF

But before anyone could even begin to process why Shuten-douji had suddenly betrayed them—

More crimson light flashed through the darkness.

"By the second Command Seal, I command you! Shuten-douji—KILL EVERYONE PRESENT!"

Lester's voice echoed from somewhere in the shadows, dripping with malicious glee.

"By the third Command Seal, I command you! Shuten-douji—ABANDON THOUGHT AND KILL EVERYONE PRESENT!"

Another flash of red.

"By the fourth Command Seal, I command you! Shuten-douji—FALL INTO MADNESS!"

For a Servant without Magic Resistance, no matter how noble their spirit or how strong their will, the forced compulsion of a Command Seal was nearly impossible to resist.

And Lester—that petty, scheming bastard who had been hiding in the shadows this entire time—had apparently been saving his Command Seals for exactly this moment.

That conniving piece of shit, Max thought, his blood running cold as he processed the situation. He let everyone else do the hard work, watched Vritra get taken down, and now he's making his move while we're all exhausted.

It was cowardly. It was dishonorable. It was exactly the kind of thing Lester would do.

Everyone else was exhausted. Vritra had been defeated. And the only Servant still at full power...

Was his.

Under the overwhelming force of four Command Seals fired in rapid succession, no matter how desperately Shuten-douji tried to fight it—

She let out an agonized scream.

Her eyes transformed, pupils narrowing into vertical slits like a beast's.

Her elegant demon horns, normally a soft pink, were completely dyed blood-red.

The oni had been unleashed.

Lily, who had originally intended to demand answers, immediately abandoned any thought of negotiation. Her blade rose, pointed directly at the transformed Shuten-douji.

This isn't her anymore, Lily realized. This is a weapon.

But in the next instant—

A gust of wind struck from behind, and Lily's expression changed to one of pure horror.

Too fast.

No time to react at all!

Is this the strength of a top-tier Servant?

Despair flooded through her mind, but her body refused to give up. She tensed every muscle, preparing to somehow endure the incoming blow—

BOOM.

An explosive sound erupted directly beside Lily.

Shuten-douji, who had been about to cut down the young Saber with a single stroke, was violently elbowed away by the source of that explosion.

A figure in dark clothing landed beside Lily, having transformed into Edmond Dantès just moments ago.

Max.

His body was already screaming from the strain of the transformation, but he couldn't afford to hold back now. Not with a berserk Shuten-douji on the loose.

But he wasn't done.

"It seems I won't be able to repay the Command Seal I owe your Master after all."

His voice was cold. Calculating. The voice of someone who had already planned three moves ahead.

"By Command Seal—I command you. Come to my side, Medea!"
