[Past]
Frank sat at his desk, completely confused about what was happening in the classroom.
Everywhere he listened, he heard whispers.
"He's so handsome..."
"I wish he'd notice me..."
"He's amazing..."
Frank had no idea what was going on.
At least one thing relieved him.
"Looks like I'm safe from the government's investigation."
Little did Frank know...
Love could be a far more dangerous attack than any government operation.
It was an attack capable of bringing even the strongest person to their knees.
He glanced toward Mary.
She was sitting quietly, her heart beating faster than usual.
Frank, however, had no interest in any of that.
All he wanted was a normal school life where he could gain enough knowledge to survive this world.
Suddenly, Frank stood up.
Frank: "Sir, may I go to the bathroom?"
The teacher nodded.
Teacher: "Go ahead."
Frank walked out of the classroom.
He simply couldn't endure all the whispers surrounding him.
As soon as he left—
One of the girls whispered,
Girl: "Is he really worth forming an alliance with the boys over?"
Not every girl had a crush on Frank.
But he was undeniably the boy with the most admirers.
Gilia: "You don't know him."
"He has this mysterious aura."
"What makes you think he isn't worth it?"
"If he isn't your type, then that's fine."
"I guess that just means less competition."
"Thanks for that."
The other girl shrugged.
Girl: "I don't know..."
"I've just never felt that kind of spark."
Gilia: "Fair enough."
Their whispers didn't go unnoticed.
The teacher looked at them.
Teacher: "Gilia. Parcia."
"What are you two whispering about?"
Gilia immediately shook her head.
Gilia: "Nothing, sir."
The teacher adjusted his glasses.
Teacher: "If I catch either of you whispering again..."
"You'll run ten laps around the campus."
Gilia: "No, sir."
Meanwhile...
Frank stood alone in front of the bathroom mirror.
He stared at his own reflection.
"What the hell am I doing?"
"Father entrusted me with an important mission."
"I can't afford to lose because of... love."
He paused.
"Maybe I should ask Mary about it..."
A second later, he immediately rejected the idea.
"No."
"I should solve this myself."
"Imagine asking a girl how to deal with girls."
"I'd be the world's greatest fool."
Frank sighed.
"I should just go back."
He left the bathroom and quietly returned to his seat.
After Class
Outside the school...
A small group of girls gathered together.
Girl 1: "I think I'm going to confess to him."
Girl 2: "No."
"First we need to make sure Mary isn't in our way."
Girl 1 nodded.
Girl 1: "Alright."
"Then it's decided."
Meanwhile...
Frank looked across the school grounds.
A determined expression appeared on his face.
Frank (thinking):
"It's time to get serious."
