The sand trembled as if the desert itself were watching a drum building collapse. Suddenly, roots erupted from the sand, trying to capture Jack.Jack gasped, "What the hell? Roots in a desert? He leaped again, landing on a building, and dashed past the roots toward the monster. Suddenly, the roots sprouted massive thorns.He was about to slam into a building, so he activated his ability. The power covered him, but it could not fully protect him. He survived, but he was left bleeding all over his body.A branch sprouted from his side, causing him excruciating pain. The agony spread rapidly, leaving him paralyzed.Suddenly, another branch lunged straight at him.He sat there, waiting for the end, unable to move.But his wait was in vain; the branch did not hit him.Jack muttered, "My training was for nothing. I just wanted to meet a strong opponent worth fighting, but I wasn't even worth it."He looked up.Jack asked, "Why are you here, Sam?"
