Autumn's pov :
It was a modern mansion , standing elegant and composed beneath the soft twilight sky.Clean architectural lines framed wide glass windows that glowed warmly from the inside, spilling light onto the smooth driveway. Stone and glass blended seamlessly, expensive but not flashy—luxury with restraint.
For a moment, no one spoke. I was surprised to see the house too .
The lawn was perfectly manicured, subtle ground lights guiding the path like quiet stars. Nothing about the house felt cold, despite its size. Instead, it felt intentional, carefully built to keep the world out while letting warmth stay in
" Come on. Let's go " scarlet said simply, a small smile playing on her lips
I looked at the house again . It wasn't meant to impress others. It was built to protect someone who had already survived enough.
" Oh! Ash come on. You are so slow . " She said surprising me and holding my hands as she started walking towards the front door .
She walked fast as if she was in a hurry to go somewhere .
" HUH!! Ash !?"
" That's the nick name I gave you . Autumn.....Ash . Doesn't it sound good " Scar answers.
I nodded in response. Wow ! I have a nickname now.
" By the way . What's the time right now" I asked.
" Its 11 am right now . Why!?" She replied in a steady tone.
I just shook my head as if saying "Nothing", She then ushered me into the house and I followed her lead.
As I entered the house . I was greeted by a woman wearing hanbok . I mean that's what they call it right but why was she wearing that inside the house.
" Hey ! Scar !? "
" Yes ... wait ! Scar ??" She asked looking at me.
" That's M.Y. nickname for you . Anyways , why was that lady wearing hanbok inside the house . I mean that's what they call it, don't they but I don't think they wear it inside the house " I asked as we walked towards her room .
Wow we are giving each nick names now . I am amused.
" Of course they don't. They are our gate staff . They greet everyone that enters through that gate and keep a watch for anything dangerous. They are all licensed martial artists . " She said in a serious tone .
I just nodded as she explained. We soon reached an elevator . Her house even had an elevator....WOW!!
The elevator looked luxurious from the inside. It even had cameras inside. I looked at the panel where you could see the floor buttons. . There were 3 floors in total. Great !!
I looked at Scar as she pushed the 2nd floor button on the panel as the elevator started moving . We soon reached the floor.
As I took a step outside the elevator , I was met with a lady . She was probably middle - aged but still looked quite beautiful. She was wearing a white coat.
" Eonniiiii !" Scar wailed . In a funny way though and hugged the lady.
" What happened Scarlet ? And who is that behind you ." The lady asked.
" Igot an allergic reaction. Also , this is my friend Autumn but you can call her ash . I just brought her along on an adventure you see. " Scar stated.
"Oh i see . Welcome to our humble abode my dear . " She said and took scar by the hand and made her sit on the bed by the curtain .
" I told you to stay away from things that cause you allergy didn't i . You know that your allergies are dangerous for you right??." She muttered while handing scar a box .
" Eat this medicine after dinner ok. Now , go to your room with your friend. Make sure you rest for a while too. " She continues as she makes scar stand up and ushers her towards the elevator .
Scar enters the elevator and pushes the 3rd floor button .
" That is our family doctor . Miss Nari "
" Oh ! Does she live with you gu- "
*ding*
We were on the 3rd floor . The elevator door opened and stepped outside. I was mesmerized by how big her room was . The whole 3rd floor was her room .
Scar ushered me to her bed and made me sit there as she sat in a comfy couch right in front of it.
" So. How do you like my room " She asked.
" It's great . Your room is a little bigger than mine but it looks better. I mean mine doesn't look feminine from head to toe. You also have all the necessary supplies one needs for designing. I am impressed ." I replied.
" By the way I was asking , Does your doctor live with you guys . "
" Not really . She is just here to take care of me since my parents are handling our business back in Korea " .
" Oh i see .So you really are korean huh!!"
" No I am not but My parents are . I mean I look nothing like them . Infact , I don't look like a Korean in the slightest . I suspect that I am adopted . "
"Hahahaha everyone thinks that way , you are not alone . Sometimes I suspect that I am not my parents daughter eith-

A message . Who could it be .
( I pick up the phone to check . )
Mom:
- Come back home ASAP . Your dad and I am waiting for you .
As soon as I read the text I get up from the bed .
" I should go Scar . My mom is asking me to go back home , seems urgent."
" But you just came here . Won't have have dinner with us . You should atleast eat something before you go "
" No scar I will pass. If I don't go back home right now , I won't stay alive to visit you again ."
" Ok alrighty!! I will just drop you off to your house . You won't find a taxi in such a remote area anyway but promise me that the next time you come you wouldn't go home without having dinner with us . " She says as she gets up and we head towards the elevator.
" I promise but for now we must hurry up."
We get in the elevator and before I realize we are already on the ground floor .
We both hurry up towards the entrance as we are greeted by Scars house - staff.
" Wait here . I will bring my car " Scar says.
I nod and wait there till scar gets back .
After a few minutes , Scars comes out of her garage on her car but this time it was black . Wow !! Just how many cars does she own .
Her car stops and front of me but I am in daze . She has really got an eye for cars and fashion alike huh .
" Get on ash . We gotta go "
I open the car door and sit .
" Lets gooooooooo!!"
I buckled up and sat tight looking out the window. The ride was silent and I didn't even realize when I when the car rolled to a stop in front of my house.
"Ash?" Scar called, waving a hand in front of my face. "We're here."
I blinked a few times before looking outside. Sure enough, my house stood right in front of us.
"Already?" I muttered.
"You looked like you were thinking about something," Scar laughed softly. "I didn't want to disturb you."
I smiled sheepishly. "Guess I got lost in my own head."
"Go on," she said. "Your parents are waiting. And don't forget your promise."
I nodded. "Next time, I'll stay for dinner."
"Good." She flashed her usual bright smile. "See you soon, Ash."
"See you, Scar."
I stepped out of the car, closed the door gently, and watched as the black car disappeared down the street. Taking a deep breath, I turned toward the front door, wondering why my parents had sounded so urgent in their message.
As soon as I opened the door , the scenery in front of me was ~~
