Rain's POV:
The wind from the terrace is still screaming in my ears even as I hit the pavement, my hair lashed across my stinging cheeks. Every step toward the car is a jagged rhythm, my thighs rubbing together, amplifying the slick, heavy throb that's settled deep in my bones.
My jaw actually aches from the force of my grin ,a manic, hungry thing that I can't shove down.
He's already out, a dark silhouette against the idling engine. The guards stiffen into salutes, but his eyes are a physical weight on me, stripping me bare before I even reach him. He yanks the passenger door open, and —I lunged in, slamming the door shut to trap the heat inside.
The silence of the car as he moves to get i to the driver's side is filled with spine-coiling tension, the car is thick with him: the sharp, metallic tang of citrus, the stale ghost of tobacco, and the underlying scent of just him.
