She was currently feeling a bit awkward and embarrassed.
The biggest reason, of course, was that she and Mona were late, and very late at that.
After all, Mona and Amber were a little too much this morning, and she, in a fit of anger, fiercely "educated" these two girls.
The specific details cannot be explicitly stated, but she was very sure that she had made them both understand her power and that her backside was not to be easily touched.
Especially Amber, she should still be lying at home unconscious now.
After all, since Mona had to come out with her, she let her off slightly, with most of the firepower directed at Amber.
But even so, Mona still looked somewhat listless and weak. When the two finally arrived at the Library entrance, they were told by the guard that Lumine and Paimon had already gone inside.
She and Mona had no choice but to walk faster, but when they reached the entrance, there was a slight unexpected turn of events.
She was stopped. The person who stopped her was the Knights of Favonius librarian, Lisa.
This wasn't her first time meeting Lisa, but before, it should have only been a fleeting encounter, right?
Why was Lisa so...
"Little Cutie, what's wrong?" Lisa's voice was somewhat charming. She didn't know if it was only like this towards her, or if she usually spoke this way.
At the same time, her face bore a gentle smile, and her eyes seemed to hide some emotion that she couldn't quite understand.
It felt a little dangerous, but she didn't have any intention of deliberately staying away from Lisa.
She had come to terms with it; no matter how reserved she was, Lisa would probably not easily escape her grasp in the end.
If that was the case, why bother with meaningless resistance?
It would be better to let nature take its course and quickly take down Lisa... cough.
"N-nothing." She smiled awkwardly, and incidentally, turned her head to look behind her.
Lumine, Mona, and Paimon were discussing something over a book, seemingly completely unconcerned with what was happening on her side.
Her constitution had a huge impact on them; even if she actively expressed her desire to add someone to her harem, they would not have any objections.
In fact, they would only think it was a perfectly natural thing.
"Last time you promised you'd come visit big sister, but I haven't seen you since." Lisa rested both hands on the counter; from Stelle's angle her ample curves were impossible to ignore.
"Uh, I've… I've been busy lately." Stelle rubbed the back of her head, not sure where to look.
Fortunately she'd had a very satisfying morning with Mona and Amber, or the sight might have stirred up trouble again.
"I heard all about it: first you helped Mondstadt with the Dragon Disaster, then you helped Amber catch the Monster Bird, and finally you helped Eula send her uncle to prison…" Lisa counted each deed on her fingers.
Clearly she kept close tabs on Stelle; she knew everything.
Come to think of it, Stelle was practically a celebrity in Mondstadt now.
Who knew—maybe her fame would spread to other nations someday.
"Now you're busy with the meteorites. But even when you're swamped you need to rest, or big sister will worry." Lisa reached out and ruffled Stelle's hair.
"?!" Stelle's eyes widened, but she only flinched slightly and didn't pull away.
No one had ever patted her head before; even Kafka hadn't done that as far as she could recall.
Though Kafka had groped her chest, hadn't she?
She couldn't quite remember… "I—I got it. I'll take breaks."
"Good girl." Lisa nodded in satisfaction and withdrew her hand.
She still wanted more, but as the Academia's once-in-two-centuries genius she had self-control.
"So, Lisa, have you been following the meteorite situation too?" Stelle asked curiously.
"With something this big it's hard not to. Luckily it hasn't posed a real threat to Mondstadt yet." Lisa gave a lazy shrug.
The Knights of Favonius were investigating, of course, but progress was slow.
Short-staffed, they mostly handled support duties.
"Be careful—the Fatui are very interested in those meteorites, and they're not pleasant people." Lisa recalled recent intel and warned her.
"If you run into trouble, come find me. For you, I'm always free."
"Mm, I will. Thanks, Lisa."
---
"Any leads?" Stelle finished talking with Lisa and walked over to Mona and Lumine.
"You're here." Lumine teased, "So how was your chat with Lisa?"
"Just… just normal." Stelle couldn't think of a better answer under Lumine's gaze.
"Is that so? That librarian sure pays you a lot of attention." Mona sniffed; Lisa's eyes had barely left Stelle since they arrived.
She'd barely taken her eyes off Stelle since they walked in.
In that regard she'd been even worse than Mona herself back then.
"A-hem… let's focus." Stelle awkwardly changed the subject.
She and Lisa had hit it off at Jean's house before; after such a long absence a little extra attention was natural.
After such a long absence a little extra attention was natural.
"Did you find anything on Leonard?"
"Yep, Leonard—author of the Adventurer's Manual Mountain and Sea." Lumine nodded.
"But the book's so damaged most of it's unreadable," Paimon sighed.
"Not for a genius astrologer like me." Mona proudly lifted her chin.
A lesser astrologer might surrender, but for her a few missing pages were nothing.
"So… where exactly do we find the meteorite core?" Stelle asked the trio.
"Cape Oath—once called Pointy-Hat Peak."
