Rover was startled and opened his eyes wide, seeing that he was standing in the basement, with Selina and Elith beside him.
Selina was talking to Elith about the current situation, while he was still standing there, his gaze sweeping around as if searching for the person who had just spoken.
However, he could not find anyone at all.
A trace of confusion rose in his heart. It had been a woman's voice, and even stranger than that... the voice had felt very familiar.
So familiar that he had almost thought he was hearing a loved one he had not seen in a long time.
"How strange..." Rover muttered, but he did not want to think too much about it anymore.
The priority right now was to become stronger, at the very least strong enough to face those terrifying existences, so that he would have enough qualifications to negotiate with them.
