Eric sent his consciousness into the charm again.
This charm held a huge amount of information, carefully divided into different categories, consisting of many types of materials and resources, forging techniques, auras, aura technique inheritances, knowledge of history where the Goodness Pathway played a role, aura stones, rituals, formations, inheritance clues, many types of relics, charms, and domain cards, and the recipes to make them.
There was also knowledge on how to summon and make contracts with angel spirits.
Eric could go on and on, but the content just seemed endless. He decided to stop and take a look at them slowly.
Father Irenaeus chuckled upon seeing Eric's expression and said warmly, "It's no problem, my child. Take your time; we have all day."
Eric nodded and started with the materials.
There was a huge variety of materials of every kind.
Some examples were: Holy Water, Verdant Lightless Feather, various body parts of angel spirits, sacrificial crystals, Virtue Night Feather, and Virtuous Hound Claws.
There were also materials related to the many variations of angel spirits, such as Year Angel's Brain, Vortex Angel Expanding Stone, and Demonic Angel's Horns.
Most of these materials were from the Goodness Pathway, with some having connections to the Evil, Boundless, and Inversion Pathways as well.
Eric knew most of them. He had once been a curious and unusual teenager, and after awakening, he had read extensively, gaining a vast treasury of knowledge. While he did not recognize every material listed here, he was familiar with most of them.
What caught his attention was a rare Hypernova-level material.
"Ancient Myriad Angelic Dragon's horns," Eric whispered lightly.
This was one of the most valuable materials obtained after killing an Angelic Dragon.
Angels and dragons were two types of beings with the most variations in the universe.
Angelic Dragons were one such variation; their horns were extracted using specialized methods and were the most valuable part of their bodies.
Ancient Myriad Angelic Dragons were Hypernova-level.
Mythical Myriad Angelic Dragons were Supernova-level.
Celestial Myriad Angelic Dragons were True Supernova-level.
From the moment they were born, they were already at the Hypernova level, and killing them was extremely difficult. This made their materials very rare and rarely sold.
After the materials section came knowledge on how to cultivate them, their ideal habitats, their food, their life cycles, and how to harvest them.
Every material had its own requirements. They needed to be cultivated through extensive effort, time, and manpower. They were both useful and rare, and resource points were established to produce them in large quantities at set intervals.
Eric scrolled further and soon reached the forging category, where all the forging techniques available for exchange were stored.
There were three main forging methods in the Goodness Pathway:
The Self-Sacrificial Method
The Angel and Assistance Method
The Myriad Blessings Method
Each of these methods was vast and comprehensive and had its own aura, aura techniques, formations, and relics suited to it. Most of the knowledge and resources required to use them were present and available for exchange.
Eric continued scrolling and finally reached the aura category. At first, he saw variations such as Virtuous Mortal Aura, Angel Communication Aura, Lowly Blessings Aura, and others.
But then his body suddenly stiffened as his gaze landed on a core-essence aura.
"Sacrifice Aura... This is a core-essence aura!"
There were three levels of auras in the region, and Core-Essence was considered the highest level.
Eric suddenly felt a premonition as he scrolled down to the inheritance category and saw a Supernova-rank Myriad Inheritance.
The name of this inheritance was the Primordial Sacrificial Inheritance, and it was complete.
There were seven levels of inheritance in the Aura region:
Fragmentary Inheritance
Lesser True Inheritance
True Inheritance
Major True Inheritance
Myriad Inheritance
Celestial Inheritance
Primordial Inheritance
Each of these inheritances was also divided into six subcategories, ranked from Nova to True Supernova.
This ranking system ranged from the most common and lowest level to the rarest and most sought-after.
Eric was allowed to view a portion of its contents. It was filled with a vast number of aura techniques, insights, formations, domain cards, relics, and more, all centered around the Sacrifice Aura.
Eric couldn't help but feel a strong urge to obtain the Sacrifice Aura and the Primordial Sacrificial Inheritance and switch to the Goodness Pathway.
For an aura user to reach higher ranks, three key elements were essential: aura, resources (including relics, charms, and domain cards), and a complete inheritance.
A high-level aura ensured smoother advancement, resources supported cultivation, and inheritance provided structured knowledge, techniques, formations, and crafting methods.
Walking a pathway with or without an inheritance was entirely different.
Without one, a person would have to navigate blindly, figuring everything out themselves. With one, they could follow the footsteps of predecessors and progress more efficiently.
Why was Sasaki Alberich able to grow so strong so quickly? It was not only because he had awakened an essence aura and had abundant resources, but mainly because he had inherited three of the four Celestial Inheritances of the Fourth Meditation Master.
When Sasaki awakened as an aura user at the age of four, one of these inheritances had already come to him, giving him direction and a powerful foundation.
With their help, he became a Supernova at seventeen and was already prepared to advance to True Supernova. This level of growth surpassed even some of the nine legendary Meditation Masters.
It was clear how important inheritances were in an aura user's life.
After thinking for some time, Eric calmed himself and dismissed the idea.
There were several reasons.
First, he did not have enough contribution points. The essence aura and the inheritance required one hundred and six hundred contribution points respectively.
The fewer the points required for resources, the higher the value of each point.
If not for Father Irenaeus treating the rank 0 relic as a gift, Eric would already be in debt.
Second, there was a lack of trust. He did not trust anyone in the Church of Serenity.
Third, everything felt way too.... perfect.
Eric had experienced many dangerous situations, which had shaped his cautious and patient nature, shaping his deep foresight.
The situation reminded him of a donkey chasing a carrot hanging in front of it.
Even if the carrot was eaten, it could still lead to a trap.
Eric's limit was the cautious use of the Imperator's Cross. He would not go deeper into this cooperation lightly.
He steadied his thoughts and continued scrolling.
The next category was inheritance clues. There were countless inheritances left behind by predecessors, many with complex requirements. Some had not even been discovered yet, including most of the inheritances of the first nine Meditation Masters.
"Hmm... details about the Myriad Lush Life and Genetic Inheritance in the Ancient Rotten Swamps?"
This one caught his attention because it was located in Lumenia.
"I wonder why no one has claimed it yet."
The remaining contents were less remarkable.
There were large quantities of aura stones, categorized aura techniques, historical records, and details about formations and ancient arts.
Eric withdrew his consciousness from the charm and nodded.
"The treasury is indeed filled with treasures people would die for."
"I have seen enough. Let's proceed with the agreement and make me an official member of the... uh..."
His voice trailed off as he realized he didn't know the organization's name.
An awkward feeling crept in as he noticed the silence around him. Everyone seemed to be staring at him.
His smile twitched.
Father Irenaeus laughed and declared:
"This organization shall be called 'The Serenity Codex.'"
All the angel spirits began cheering excitedly.
