Chapter 179 -  Shimotsuki VillageDragon Hears the Price

Dragon took a sharp breath.

500,000 Berries.

That was expensive.

"With that much money," he thought, "I could buy many rifles."

"This… isn't it too expensive?" Dragon asked.

Karl smiled calmly.

"Mr. Dragon, ask yourself honestly."

"Is it really expensive?"

Dragon froze.

If he thought about it carefully—

Items that could increase strength were extremely rare in the world.

Even the cheapest Devil Fruit cost at least 100 million Berries.

Compared to that…

500,000 Berries actually wasn't expensive.

But this also destroyed his earlier plan.

Equipping the entire Revolutionary Army with Holy Light Shells would be far too costly.

Upgrading weapons would be cheaper.

Dragon sighed and asked:

"Then what price do we sell them for?"

Karl shrugged.

"That's none of my concern."

"You're the exclusive distributor."

"You pay me 500,000 Berries per shell."

"What price you sell them for is your choice."

Dragon blinked.

"Even if we sell them for 1 million… or 10 million?"

Karl nodded.

"As long as someone is willing to buy."

Dragon inhaled sharply.

Now that was a business opportunity.

If they put these shells in auction houses, wealthy pirates and nobles would fight over them.

The Revolutionary Army would soon have endless funding.

Dragon felt excitement rising in his chest.

"Comrade Karl truly cares about the Revolutionary Army," he thought.

Perhaps Karl simply couldn't join them because of his Marine identity.

After all—

Karl was about to become a Marine Hero.

From inside the Marines, he could do far more.

The Healing Shell Price

"Then what about the Holy Healing Shell?" Dragon asked.

Karl raised five fingers again.

Dragon assumed it was the same price.

But Karl cleared his throat.

"Five million Berries."

Dragon's eyes widened.

"Five million?!"

"Why is it ten times more expensive?"

Karl looked amused.

"A life-saving item should cost more."

Then he snapped his fingers.

The raven on his shoulder transformed into a sword.

Karl held it casually.

"Dragon."

"If you want to test the healing shell…"

"You'll need to bleed a little."

"You don't mind, right?"

Dragon stared at Karl.

Then he laughed.

"Of course not."

"I've heard you are a swordsman equal to the world's greatest."

"Let me see your skill."

He extended his arm and closed his eyes.

Karl nodded respectfully.

Then—

Slash.

A golden blade flashed.

A small cut appeared on Dragon's arm.

Perfect precision.

"Try it," Karl said.

Dragon activated the shell.

White holy light spread outward.

Energy flowed into the wound.

Within seconds—

The cut completely disappeared.

No scar.

No mark.

The healing energy still had plenty left, so it spread through his body.

A full-body healing effect.

Dragon sighed in amazement.

"What incredible power…"

He rubbed his arm, impressed.

A shell like this could save lives in battle.

Five million suddenly didn't seem expensive at all.

Even ten million might still be worth it.

If these items reached the market—

Dragon could already imagine the massive demand.

Doctors across the sea might even lose their jobs.

Dragon's Observation

Dragon suddenly asked:

"These shells…"

"You created them with your ability, didn't you?"

Karl nodded.

"Yes."

Dragon thought for a moment.

"If that's the case…"

"Wouldn't the Marines want these too?"

"They probably need them even more."

Karl waved dismissively.

"That's not your concern."

In truth, Karl already planned to sell them to the Marines as well.

But the World Government wouldn't get them for free.

Just like Seastone trade, which the World Government secretly bought from Kaido.

Karl intended to get something valuable in return.

The First Shipment

Karl raised his hand.

Suddenly—

Thousands of shells appeared on the ground.

"1,000 Holy Light Shells."

"100 Holy Healing Shells."

"They're yours."

Dragon froze.

He hadn't even blinked.

"Where did those come from?"

"My ability."

"…Oh."

But Dragon soon looked troubled.

He hadn't brought money.

Even if he had, he couldn't pay that much immediately.

Karl smiled.

"I trust your reputation."

"Sell them first."

"Pay me later."

Dragon's eyes lit up.

"Thank you!"

They chatted for a while longer.

Soon, a small plain-looking ship approached the shore.

Dragon glanced at it.

"My ride is here."

Karl nodded.

"Safe travels."

Dragon raised his hand.

A powerful gust of wind swept across the shore.

The shells lifted into the air and flew onto the ship.

Dragon himself rose with the wind.

He seemed to deliberately show his power.

Karl simply smiled and waved.

The ship soon disappeared into the sea.

Karl's Next Stop

With business finished, Karl turned toward the smoke rising from the nearby village.

Time to relax.

And maybe…

Bullying a rookie swordsman.

Isshin Dojo — Back Mountain

Behind the dojo, a young swordsman trained under a waterfall.

This was Roronoa Zoro.

The waterfall slammed into his back, but he didn't move.

Suddenly—

Zoro swung his swords.

"Three Sword Style — Oni Giri!"

Three blade lights flashed.

For a moment—

The waterfall seemed to stop.

Then the water crashed down again.

Zoro lost his balance and was blasted into the river.

"Damn it!"

He climbed onto shore, panting.

Looking at the sky, he muttered:

"It's getting late."

"Time to go back and eat."

Then—

A voice came from behind him.

"Boy."

"Are you a swordsman too?"
