The tremors beneath their feet grew stronger and stronger.
Soon, a flat section of the sewer floor suddenly bulged upward. A massive black worm, about two or three meters long, burst out of the ground.
Right behind it, a thick cloud of black smoke appeared before Aiden and the others.
The black worm scattered and reformed instantly, taking the shape of Demon Drew once more.
The swirling black smoke condensed slowly, forming Demon Philip.
"You humans actually have some real strength," Demon Drew said, casting a wary glance at Aiden. "If I hadn't been able to burrow underground, I might already be injured."
Philip felt the same way.
As a Fog Demon, ordinary physical attacks couldn't hurt him much. But the skills Aiden had just unleashed were wide-ranging and sent a strong signal of danger.
If he hadn't jumped into the hole Drew had dug at the last second, he would be badly hurt right now. After all, Drew's defense was far higher than his own.
