Before them stood hundreds, maybe thousands, of identical corpses. Alongside them were all kinds of tools of torture—each one so horrifying that just glancing at it made your body shake with fear and anger.
In the center of the underground space, there was a carpet made of human skin.
On it sat several tables covered in rotting flesh and blood, along with wineglasses already dried out and crusted with blood.
Near the skin carpet lay piles of pale bones. Look closely, and you'd see most of them belonged to children—bones that hadn't fully grown yet.
