"Hell?" Miles' pupils shrank instantly. A strong sense of crisis hit him.
He could tell that the Demon in front of him, who was laughing while talking, really wanted to kill him.
But Miles had no idea what was going on.
He thought he hadn't offended any Demon.
"Brother, did you mistake me? Yes, I am human, but I have already turned my back on humanity and joined the Evil Demons Guild," Miles said quickly.
"We are brothers on the same side. You must have mixed me up with someone else."
Miles looked up at the sky again. Once he confirmed no flying pets were broadcasting, he quickly pulled off his black cloak.
He didn't notice that those words didn't lower the Slaughter Demon's killing intent at all; they actually made it stronger.
"Since I have this black token, it proves I've betrayed humanity. Brother, please don't misunderstand me," Miles explained frantically.
