After hearing Malcolm's voice outside the door, Aiden's eyes lit up at once.
Ethan was still being held by Malcolm in the Golden Bird Cage. If you counted him, Aiden was now only missing two Mythic Rank the Abyss creatures to finish the quest.
If everything went well, he should be able to get the quest reward today.
"A Mythic Rank staff... just thinking about it is exciting." Aiden took a deep breath and walked toward the door.
He glanced back and saw that Cheryl had already pulled the blanket over her head and fallen asleep.
Aiden slowly opened the door a crack and stepped out, looking toward Malcolm.
But the moment he saw him, he immediately had a bad feeling.
Malcolm looked serious, with his brows tightly furrowed. When he saw Aiden, a slight smile appeared on his face, and he nodded.
Then Malcolm took a deep breath and said in a low voice, "There's another piece of bad news. It's about Ethan."
