Today was the gala for the launch of the Aurora app, and if I'm being totally honest...with a little nudge from the champagne I was holding, I was feeling both really excited and a bit terrified at the same time.
The app itself was a true work of art: it was born from late nights, caffeine crashes, endless code reviews, and at least three times when Harry threatened to toss his laptop into the West River because the UI just wouldn't cooperate.
Tonight was meant to be a celebration, with drinks flowing, music loud enough to be festive but not drown out conversations, and coworkers who felt like family laughing and hugging because we'd actually done it; we'd built something real and helpful to patients and people involved in healthcare in general and sent it out into the world.
I wanted to soak in all that pride and joy, the chaotic happiness of people who'd worked hard finally getting to raise a toast.
